Bad experience. They charge a $150 call out fee. Then they quote a ridiculous high price so the customer is screwed either way. My wife called and explained the issue and was assured' that it wouldn't cost be more than than $350.00. Plumber arrived, looked at the issue and said it would be $468,00 but claimed additional work needed to be done and the total bill would be $1260.00. I was working from home that day and wife asked me to speak with the Plumber. The guy stated that all the work needed to be done to comply with city code and therefore nothing could be done unless we paid the full $1260.00. I didn't believe him informed him that we would find someone else. My wife had been dealing with the plumber directly and had agreed to a call out fee so we were out the $150.00.
My suspicions were proved correct, we called another plumber and it was a simple fix, The cost ..... $249.00!!!

Amazing customer service from my initial contact with Mark from Haugen. I called several times prior to my service date with various questions, he answered patiently each time! Now, our job is being completed with exceptional professionalism.
I had a slab leak in my previous home and dealt with many plumbers, NOW that I know of Haugen Plumbing, a slab leak wouldn't be so frightening!!
Honest, professional, friendly, great service and delightful personality!
Does not get any better!

Would highly recommend Haugen Plumbing. Mark was extremely knowledgeable. He was prompt, fairly priced, explained the process, took pride in his work and was extremely professional. Thank you!

So happy that my neighbor referred Haugen Plumbing! I had my main line break and had to shut off the water. The first company that came to quote me I believe tried to take advantage of my situation and gave me a quote of $5400 and would take a couple of days!! When Mike came over he was very polite and explained in detail what needed to be done, how much I was looking at (which was half of what the other people quoted) and also explained two ways I can go depending on my budget. He was very professional and friendly and arrived on time. To my surprise he even finished the project in one day and had my water on immediately. He ensured all my faucets and toilets were working, also worked in a clean fashion and did exceptional work. I would definitely recommend Haugen Plumbing.

I don't have any beef with their customer service. They are very polite and came exactly when they said they would. As a renter, I do not have the home warranty policy that other reviewers have. However, to pay them $145 to tell me that they see what could be the problem.....then want to contact the property manager so they can get the job feels a bit underhanded. People should be paid for their skills and time.$145 for a few minutes of looking is a bit excessive.
Also I found this online: ""Trick #4: High cost for the first hour of labor
Standard hourly visits are expensive for the first hour of labor, even if it takes only 10 minutes to fix a simple problem.
Cure: While you can't fault a plumber for charging a minimum labor charge to cover his time and travel, you can take advantage of that full hour of labor you're paying for by having him resolve any small problems or perform routine maintenance tasks to get your money's worth.
Ask him to replace washers, gaskets or O-rings, tighten faucet stems or other small tasks around the home, or ask him for a quick inspection so you'll be able to identify where wear and tear might indicate future problems will develop.""
If you made it this far in the review, just do your research. Save yourself some $$. Again, nice, polite folks. Just felt a bit taken advantage of.l wish I would've seen the above article before my expensive learning experience. Good luck searching!!

The handle to the bathtub spout got brittle and snapped. The water was running and could not be turned off. The only choice was to turn the water off to the house completely. We called Haugen Plumbing and explained the emergency. They showed up, and fixed the problem and then inspected the other bathrooms. Great, reasonable service. When you don't have water in your home, you really appreciate when someone shows up right away.

When my upstairs bathroom decided to spring a leak, I called Old Republic Home Warranty and they assigned me Haugen Plumbing. Mark called me right away and came out as scheduled and fixed everything. What really impressed me was that there were a couple small preventative things he also adjusted/repaired without even having to ask. He arrived on time, was very clean and professional but most of all, he was friendly and informative. This was nearly 4 years ago and he's been my plumber ever since. He is a family guy with true ethics and morals and runs his business with integrity and a high standard of quality. If you need a plumber, Mark and Haugen Plumbing is your guy.

Mark came to fix the leak under the kitchen sink. My appointment was between 1pm-5pm and he came at 3:30pm.
He replaced the garbage disposal really quick and efficient. There was a small leak under the bathroom sink which I found out after I made an appointment and he gladly took a look and tightened the pipe.
Upon fixing the garbage disposal, he saw that the water pressure was really high, so he even measured water pressure (which was 110lbs! normal range should be 55-65lbs), replaced a hardware and now the water pressure of my house is back to 65lbs.
I had two plumbers came to work before and they didn't even bother checking water pressure or anything extra.
Mark is really nice and very professional. He deserves 5 star and I'm happy to recommend to anyone!

Since I'm a Realtor my contacts for my clients are vitally important as its a reflection on me when I recommend someone. I have used Mark at Haugen Plumbing for over 6 years and he has never let me or my clients down. Many of my clients have actually called me to let me know how great the service was....which is a true testament of a great company. Keep up the great work!

I'm bummed to write this review, but I really feel I was taken advantage of here...
I called for an estimate for a broken/leaking water heater in our garage, and the plumber came out quickly the same day. He took a quick look and let me know what the price would be, which I though was very high but I let him know I would give him a call after I got other estimates.
Sure enough, his quote was twice the others that I later received the same day. He called the next day asking what I had decided to do, and when I let him know that I was going with someone more affordable he asked me how I'd like to pay the $100 service fee for him coming out. That was the first time I had ever heard that there would be a fee. He said there was always a fee for him to come out to ""diagnose"" the problem. He also said he was charging me for the fact that he turned the gauge on my water heater so that the water and gas lines were not engaged, even though I never asked him to do this for me.
I understand that everyone needs to make money for their time, but I think it was dishonest to not let me know ahead of time that there would be a fee for what in my mind was simply an estimate. I had four other plumbers come out the same day and give exactly the same type of estimate for free. I felt taken advantage of, and unfortunately cannot recommend them for this reason.
