Called to have them diagnose a squeal and burning smell in our air handler. Was charged over $260 for them to come out and find nothing wrong. Just a couple days later the blower motor seized and they wanted about $2500 in addition to another $187.50 charge to diagnose it the 2nd time. So nearly $500 just to tell me the unit needed a $2500 repair for something that may have been prevented had they diagnose it correctly the first time. Called to express my dissatisfaction and they offered to credit me $37. Steer clear of this place unless you don't like money.

We have used Harvey's plumbing for several years now to service our boiler / water heater. Last year we came home from work to a broken boiler and cold house (happened in winter of course). Harvey's did a great job with the emergency service and the technician called around all day to find the right parts that were needed. This year we had a few water connections start leaking and they were able to come repair it the next day without an emergency charge! The technicians are always very through in explaining what is wrong the cost options to repair it. The free warranty they give on labor is great customer service as well.

First off, skilled labor businesses in Bozeman have turned back to the same bullshit they pulled prior to the debacle of 2008 (you know, when those rich shitbirds on Wall Street caused the collapse of the US economy) when times were great and they would not show up for small jobs and, if they did, they would fleece the hell out of you, but I digress. Anyway, I contacted Harvey's approximately one month ago because my boiler vent pipe was leaking into my laundry room. The female receptionist scheduled a time between 10 AM and 12 noon for a service person to show up at my home a couple days later. Needless to say, he never showed up and I never received a call from Harvey's. When I called back, the receptionist stated the service person, Andy, had called in sick. When asked why she did not call me back (which you would figure is proper business protocol), she stated I can reschedule the house call. When I called back a couple days later, a male employee (Justin?) advised me that he would get back to me when he had an opening. Apparently, he called me when I was unavailable and left a message for me to call him back. When I called him back, he stated he had someone who was free at the time that he called me to look at the boiler vent pipe but was no longer available. He stated that he would call me and send someone over once he had a service person free. Well, it has been one month and still no service person.
Just so we're clear here, I would have given Harvey's a one star for the situation but my prior experience with them was very good. Last year, one of their servicemen, Andy, did a boiler inspection and did an excellent job servicing my boiler. I actually requested him for my vent pipe problem during my first phone call (and I also emailed Harvey's photos of my problem). Unfortunately, the common theme throughout most of the poor reviews about this company on Yelp is the failure for them to show up at their appointments. I only have one word to describe the situation I currently had with Harvey's: unprofessional!

We first contacted them this past spring. It's now August & still have not heard back from them & even after several inquiring calls. Very fortunately it's not an emergency, but we seriously had hoped to have the work done before winter. I guess they're too busy or perhaps this is their way of saying they don't want our business.

Harvey's has great service techs when you can one. Don't expect anyone to answer the phone and they may call back the next day. I finally spoke to a lady she was rude about me asking where don't they answer their phones and return calls. Response was we only have one phone and one person answering it and we deal with emergency first. A leaking a pipe, is not an emergency her response was to put a bucket under it.

I wish I could have rated them based on plumbing as they apparently worked on my house before I bought it. I tried twice to get a bid for some work and was told an estimator would call me back. No one ever called. For some reason I gave them a 3rd chance and the receptionist said they were too busy to do anything for 2 months. Wish you would have just said that at first. Must be nice to be so busy that you can afford poor communication. Best wishes Harvey's.

The owner of this company had expanded the business so rapidly he has no control of his company.
I asked for service call to repair our furnace and 48 hours later a nice service technician determined that unit needed replacing (25 years old). Was informed that manager of HVAC would be away for 2 weeks and could offer no alternatives or other individual to look at job until his return. Waited for response with attempts with both phone and text for some idea of when manager could come to render assessment and quote pricing. No effort on companies part to communicate or provide a solution.
Called a plumbing/HVAC competitor who when called @ 9:30 am. showed up to look at furnace and rendered price quote via email @ 4:30 pm. dame day. That's customer service and communication. Resulting replacement of furnace done with skill, in timely manner and by a company with exemplary communication.

Harvey's plumbing and heating is fantastic. They know what they are doing so they get the job done quickly. They don't hide add on cost that take you by surprise when you see the bill. I highly recommend them for both plumbing and heating.

It's never a good thing when you need to have your heating system fixed. But I am sure glad I got in touch withJustin at Harvey's. They were quick, and awesome to deal with. We will definitely use them again.
