Have used HWP for several jobs. For the most part they have done a fine job. I did have one job that needed a followup.
Prices are a bit high, but they show up on time or earlier.

A tip for those that want new faucets inside...buy the faucet first...anytime you take from a plumber's inventory it will be expensive. Then you just pay for labor.

I should of looked at these reviews before I called them. They are horrible, over prices, manager was rude. They ran a line for my dryer, cut the hole in the wrong wall and did not do it right. When I called to complain, they said it was not their problem. DO NOT use them.

I had a good experience with Harvey West Plumbing. I received more than one quote for a new water heater and not only was theirs the best price for the exact same unit as the others, they explained the options patiently and thoroughly, and were very dutiful about making the appointment for both the quote and the install. I am satisfied with their work so far and look forward to using them in the future.

Have used Harvey West Pluming three times and have been extremely satisfied each time. The first time I called them to look at my hot water heater as it was not heating water. The technician responded quickly and was able to replace the heating elements efficiently. This was over 3 years ago and I do not recall the price, but was very pleased with the company.

I used them again to replace a garbage disposal. I purchased the $99 policy which waived the service fee as well as got me discounted pricing. Again, very pleased with the work and price.

The third time I used Harvey West was this past weekend when they came out and rebuilt 3 toilets, repaired a shower valve, replaced a bathroom sink, replaced the drain tray for the washing machine, and replaced a kitchen faucet. I paid $2200 for the work and was pleased with the outcome. Larry was professional and the work was quality. They may be priced high; but, I don't mind paying the price because I trust this company to do quality work. I also know if something goes wrong with what they worked on, they will be out to fix the issue.

Price is important, but I believe trust in a company is more important.

I wished I would of google the reviews before I called them. They over charge you and they created tons of sheet rock damage to my home. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When I called to complain to the manager, he did not care. His exact words are "we are not responsible". Please do not put yourself through this aggravation.

I would never use this company. They are very expensive !!! My wife called them recently to fix a leak under our kitchen since. They replaced all the PVC pipe and charged us $390. They were not there more than 45 minutes !!. When I heard the price, I was very upset about the price and called them. I asked what their service call/parts/labor price was for it. I was told they charge by the job. He explained the cost was $290 with my wife purchasing a $99 service contract. I told them to cancel the service contract, but the manager said it would save me only about $10. The service call and labor costs more otherwise. As my wife authorized the service I have no recourse except to let others know. I called 3 other plumbing companies and NONE of them would have cost more than $250. DO NOT USE HARVEY WEST !!!!

Thieves!!! Charged me over $400 for a $50 Delta Monitor cartridge. And then didn't complete the work. I have to tighten down the faucet handle myself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

After looking at the reviews online I called them about my hot water tank that the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I was informed for them to come out was a $39.00 charge. When Brandon arrived, I took him to the water heater, where he informed me if I wanted him to diagnose the problem it would be $99.00 and the $39.00 would be waved. I would like to make this very clear, unless I agreed to pay the $99 he would not touch the hot water heater, not even to see if it would light.

I agreed to pay the $99, he immediately wanted to know if I wanted to replace the unit. I told him I wanted the unit repaired not replaced. He could not keep the pilot light lit either,he then made several calls to his manager and informed me it was the thermostat and it would be $566.00 with the discount from the $99 agreement I signed.

But wait, the discount was $4.00, they wanted to charge me $566.00 + $99.00= $665.00 for the repair.
I can buy a new hot water tank for less money.

Ok, hold onto your wallet because here we go.....We purchased a home in Wylie and undertook some major renovations. All we needed a plumber to do was hookup 3 facets, reinstal the garbage disposal and flip on the water. We had all the fixtures, piping, everything already in the house - it just needed hooked up.

I first called Paleyo Plumbing because they give free quotes and were fabulous to work with in the past, but they were so busy they couldn't come for 3 days (this is the sign of a good plumber, when they are busy) so I got desperate and called Harvey West, low and behold they could come immediately (not such a good sign....) These 2 kids who looked to be about 19 pulled up in the Harvey West MERCEDES BENZ work truck, spiffy uniforms and were so polite. I showed them what needed done, all the materials, they said it would take about 2 hours. So I'm just paying for the labor....right?

They type up an invoice....$1600!!!! I HAD ALL THE STUFF ALREADY, IT'S JUST THE LABOR!!!! I almost fell over and said absolutely not, I knew that was highway robbery and I'm not even a plumber. They quickly said they would call their office and with one phone call the price magically dropped to $600. This really pissed me off. That's like saying, "Ha! We wanted to see how big of a sucker you really were...and we have to pay for the Benz work truck." Within 2 minutes I had another quote from a handyman for $200 which is exactly what I was expecting to pay.

The kids were nice, they were polite, they may have done a great job if we hired them, but I just don't feel like getting f*cked by a plumber on a Wednesday.

P.S It's $39 just for them to come out and give you a quote, but if you buy an $800 1-year service plan, then the quote is only $35. So for $800 you save $4. When you figure out that mathmatical logic, please let me know.

We called Harvey West to unplug a toliet. Our regular plumber was backed up and couldn't get to us. When West came they charged us for double - one was to snake the toliet, the other was to get on the roof to snake from above. The job took about 25 minutes. They charged us over $300!!! Our regular plumber has come out to do the same job once. They charged $160 for the exact same job.
We would never ever call West again. If you want to pay gouging prices for plumbing, then West is the one. As for us, we will never use them again.
