Our gas furnace wasn't working all of a sudden last night and I emailed Geri at Hart Plumbing as they installed our furnace in 2018. I got an email as soon as they opened this morning from Geri saying they were slammed today but would get someone here as soon as possible. I worried that it could take days, but thankfully they came and fixed it mid-afternoon today. The serviceman was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great service!

They were prompt with arriving. I showed him around the work, however they skimped on what they did. They missed some work and didn't do a good job on other parts. In they end they left an outdoor faucet that sprayed water everywhere, and left a sink that leaked. They said they'd come back and fix, but never did. Other work they just did a terrible or partial job on when it could have been done much better; especially for the price I paid.

I called Hart on 8/1/19 after our A/C broke down. As we are a Florist and Gift shop in North Hampton with 3 massive coolers that throw off extreme heat, we were in trouble. Hart was here within a couple hours and our system that was ancient had serious issues. They said they would do everything possible to help us out and returned on 8/2/19 and had us up and running asap. As we had a few thousand dollars in wedding flowers being delivered and this was a life saver for our business. I will use Hart again for our Plumbing & Heating needs. The two technicians were extremely helpful and polite, it was a very professional company

I have mixed feelings. The gentleman from Hart who has serviced my last three issues was very polite and seemed very knowledgeable. However, he had to return a second time to correct issues on each of these problems. My most recent call was to have the drain hose reattached to my dump pump. The same man did the repair and heated the hose to make it malleable to alleviate the pressure that was being applied to the connection. All seemed to be working fine when he left. The following day I noticed the pump running and spraying water out the base. I am on day two of waiting for someone to become free to come deal with this problem. I have a good 1-1/2"" of water and rising.
Tech arrived with close to three inches of water on the floor. Said he was frustrated with my situation and would make things right. He manufactured a new connection to the pipe to the outside. Everything seems fine but I will be charged for a second repair that could have and should have been done on the first visit. Plus what has become water damaged.

BEWARE of HART PLUMBING. We should have read reviews. Hart charged 2.5 hours labor, with me here to confirm that they were here 1.5 hours. After they left, the problem returned an hour later. They returned the next day, left to get a part. Meter started with their arrival, covered retrieval of the part, and installation. Overpriced and audacious, rude and unreasonable. BEWARE. I had a very unpleasant experience with this company, who was supposed to come out and do a specific part of installing a generator.
They did quote a price, but then I didn't hear from them for several months. When I finally called them, their first question was:"" Is the trench dug?"" I referred them to the electrician who had referred them to me.
I never heard anything further and finally, following another month, called a different company.

Much like the other reviewers, Hart Plumbing and Heating is very fast to appear on your doorstep, seemingly great services, only to charge astronomical prices, and repeated charges, for the same job, when they don't have the parts, for additional service charges.

I would recommend staying away unless you want to have money pulled out of your pockets hand over fist

This place is terrible, where do I start. The owner came to my house to replace a water heater. He quoted me a specific price, once the work was done he sent be a bill for $500 over the price he quoted me and never explained why. He then sent scare notices to take me to court and after I called and explained I was quoted a certain price he said good luck , see you in court. Great way to run a business , quote a price then over Charge and take to court if you don't pay!

Contacted Hart Plumbing and Heating to have a shower control replaced [12/2015]. Very prompt service and was pleased that the technician had only to replace a converter spindle lever [transfers water from tub to shower head]. Lever was very difficult to switch on and off and was advised by the technician to call them if the problem persisted, which it did. Requested another call. Once again, very prompt service with two technicians now showing up, one being an apprentice who stood around with me and did nothing to assist. They left to purchase parts needed and when they returned and entered the house they tracked in mud messing up a carpet that I just paid a couple of weeks prior to have shampooed. Following that visit, within a week or so, we still had difficulty moving the lever to engage the shower head.. Once again I called Hart's office and explained the issue. An office staff member stated the owner would discount the labor by 50%. No warranty on service or parts?? I told her it was unacceptable. She would discuss with the owner and get back to me. A day or so later she called back and told me that the owner would come by the house the next day around 8 a.m. to inspect the job. Next day, no one showed up or called. I have called their office on three other occasions and after over a month still no contact from this firm. To add insult to injury, I received a second bill for the second visit, along with the first bill, that now totals $425.57. I could have purchased a new shower control and had it installed for a lot less. We will NEVER recommend this company for plumbing and heating work and I fully intend on taking whatever action afforded me to resolve this matter.

Hart came to my house to install a new water heater. They are a subcontractor to the local gas company. I rent the water heater fro the gas company and when it fails, the gas company is responsible to replace it. They hired Hart to do this. The installation by Hart was satisfactory. When the team finished I asked them if they could stay to repair a toilet. Normally I would use a plumber that has done all other work for me in the past 7-8 years but I reasoned that since Hart was on site, it might be more efficient to hire Hart. I asked the team leader what the cost would be. He said the home office determines the pricing. I decided to proceed since they were on site and I had taken time from work to be at the house during the water heater installation. The repair took about 15 minutes. A couple of parts were replaced. A few days later I got a bill for over $130. I called Hart to ask for an explanation. I understand plumbers cost $80 - 100 per hour. This repair took 10 -15 min and I asked for an adjustment in the bill to reflect time actually spent. I was told the bill reflected Hart's minimum service call charge and they would not reduce it. .I tried to negotiate but they kept repeating they were ""sorry"" but that's their minimum service charge. This business strategy of being unwilling to even negotiate a price with a new customer will drive away new customers. These new, and now one time customers will relate their experience to others who may be less likely to contact this type of business owner. There are many other plumbers in the area. Hart will not be one I call again.
