I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are timely, professional, courteous, clean, friendly and reasonable for the exceptional service they provide. They have handled several issues for us including a leaking water heater and busted dryer vent. Each time I call Harry answers and is friendly and has someone here quickly. I will keep them on speed dial always...

I'm very happy to have been referred to Harry. The friend of mine who recommended him spoke very highly of him.
I've been using his services now for a couple years and couldn't imagine calling another plumber. It's great to have somebody friendly answer my call or get back to me right away like Harry does. I can count on him getting somebody out to help me as fast as he can.
Harry helped me with my plumbing and my heating systems several times. I appreciate Harry repairing leaks and fixing my heater and not having me replace things unnecessarily.
Harry is also a good person to talk to about other projects around the house and can recommend people of you need a referral.

We woke up to a freezing house and a furnace that wasn't working. I called Harry Barr at 7am and in the middle of a pandemic, he arrived within 20 minutes and fixed the problem. Exceptional service and Harry was friendly and courteous. He ensured that the job was done within the social distancing guidelines so we were more than comfortable to have him in the house. He was also incredibly generous with the cost of his visit. I won't use anyone else moving forward!

My kitchen sink sprung a leak as I was washing pots and pans on Christmas night after feeding 15 guests... As they have in the past, Harry Barr Plumbing saved the day. Nick was informative, thorough and creative in his solution for a recurring problem. This company is truly a pleasure to do business with.

In times like these when few companies value customer service I am overwhelmed with my exceptional experience tonight with Harry. As a result of other repairs our hot water wasn't working. We called Harry at 7:30pm for a call which we recognized might have been difficult to achieve. Harry took the initiative and guided me through a lengthy process over the phone to initiate my own repair! He is the best and I only hope others realize what a gem we have in our community. Thanks Harry!!!

In the middle of a rain snow storm on a Friday night they show up and just happen to have a sump pump. They are extremely professional and 100% committed to customer satisfaction. Highly recommend.

It took me a week to get it coordinated but my repair/replacement was not an emergency. Nick showed up at my house on time. He was clean, efficient, and did a great job. He was knowledgeable and not only did he explain everything to me, he's a real gentleman. Thanks for a job well done!

We have used Harry Barr Plumbing several times. Today we needed help with a clothes washer connection. I ran into Harry at the local bagel shop and he handled the interruption to his morning with good grace. An hour later one his guys (Fonzie) arrived with a trainee and they sorted us out. Good local service is important and these guys deliver.

Harry Barr Plumbing destroyed the downstairs of our home causing thousands of dollars of damage. He installed a toilet in our upstairs master bathroom and neglected to seal the shut-off valve on the toilet. He also never sealed the baseboard heating in both upstairs bathrooms that he had installed. His mistake caused a waterfall to flow from the upstairs bathroom through the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom, creating significant water damage to our downstairs bathroom, the kitchen ceiling and adjoining living room walls. We had hired Harry Barr Plumbing to prevent floods not cause them. He openly admitted that it was his worker's error. However, he tried to bully me into agreeing to have him just patch up the ceiling and not to worry that there shouldn't be any water or mold damage. This was the farthest from the truth. Water had seeped through the walls and insulation down to the flooring and it was a mess. This was confirmed by experts who we had evaluate the situation so we would know how to proceed. We initially hired Harry Barr Plumbing to replace pipes in our upstairs bathrooms. When his workers were doing the work initially at our house, I noticed that they were always in a rush to get moving to the next job. The workers were constantly being interrupted by phone calls and text messages that completely distracted them. I believe this is what caused them to negligently forget to seal the baseboard heating and toilet. When you rush a job, errors happen. This showed me the company's total disregard and lack of caring. When Harry Barr confronted me after he caused flooding in my house, he said his reputation means everything to him. Well, if it did, he didn't show it because during the weeks his workers were at our house, he never once came to check on the job or the work being done. He filed a claim with his insurance carrier to report the damage he caused. We have yet to receive reimbursement from his insurance carrier. What's even worse was that he texted us to find out if we ever received his bill and obviously he's wondering when he is going to get paid. What nerve! After asking around, we learned that his insurance company is the bottom of the barrel. I guess, birds of a feather flock together. We were without a downstairs bathroom for over 3 mos. To top it off, our teenage daughter had foot issues and was to have foot surgery. She was immobile and any time she needed the bathroom she would have to crawl upstairs. We had move on this and layout more money upfront to get the bathroom done before she returned home from the hospital after her surgery. At the very beginning of the job, at his suggestion, we placed a ""special order"" for parts for our shower (the cost of $900 that had to be prepaid) from the plumbing supply company he told us to use in Wayne on Hamburg Turnpike. Mr. Barr sent one of his workers to pick them up. A few weeks went by before the parts were able to be installed. When they were to be installed, we could not find the parts that his worker said he supposedly delivered to our house. We showed him the invoice of the parts that were to have been picked up and they were nowhere to be found. Since the order showed that they were picked up at the plumbing supply store, we were stuck because we had already prepaid for the parts. One of his worker admitted to us that he didn't even check the box of parts he picked up to make sure all of the parts were there from the plumbing supply store because he said he was in a rush and he wasn't able to recall if all of the parts were actually there. Another one of the workers told us that they have had issues with this plumbing supply store and it happens all the time. Parts that would have cost us $900, ended up costing us $1600 because we had to replace the order (from another company). Had his company properly done its job, we would not have ended up spending money we didn't need to spend. Come to your own conclusion of whether you want to hire this plumbing company.

Harry Barr is exemplary and runs a top notch service business in every respect. We have used them numerous times in the 9 years living in Wayne, and I won't go to anyone else for plumbing/heating needs. He and his staff are organized, timely, dependable, personable and, most of all, real plumbing/heating experts. Harry and his crew are simply the best service business I have ever dealt with as a homeowner. Every business could learn from these guys.

When I have had an emergency, Harry or one of his team members made us a priority. If he has other pressing jobs and yours isn't an emergency, he sets a realistic timetable to get to your work. They don't sell you anything you don't need, and don't try to ""fix"" things that aren't broken to make a buck. A truly upstanding business.

Just last evening, my heating system went haywire. Harry was at my house within minutes - WELL AFTER normal business hours. It turned out to be nothing but a homeowner blunder on my part. Not only did Harry provide above and beyond service, but this is probably the third time where no work was needed and Harry did not even charge me for his time/inconvenience of coming out after hours. I was grateful but also amazed that this kind of business still exists in 2017.

Harry Barr Plumbing & Heating will ALWAYS have my business. Thank you, Harry.
