Terrible experience. Our 6 year old HVAC wasn't cooling down the house so I called Harris for a service call. They spent about 4 mins looking at the outside condenser before trying to sell us a new $10,000 unit. They never even went inside. We called a different company and, within an hour of coming out, they had replaced the broken part for $300 and our A/C is working great. Harris clearly just sends salespeople, or 'technicians' who don't know what they're doing. Also, I am 9 months pregnant, which I feel like they took advantage of.

Nice people, totally incompetent management. Some of the technicians are capable, some are lazy bums. I canceled my service contract with them less than a year in, after spending about $50k for plumbing and electrical upgrades.

if I could put 0 stars I would . had the biggest nightmare from this company. bought an upgraded 2 stage unit and the kids they hired didn't even hook it up to the 2 stage . also they left a big gas leak in my basement that could have blown up the house and also wasted a lot of money on the bill .. they chipped up almost every one of our steps and took them a few weeks to get someone out here . all in all they had to inconvenience me and come to the house 9 times , I don't have that many days available and I had to make it work .the manager of the company did not handle the situation correctly. They did fix the job that was completely botched in the first place . But he did not make me a
Satisfied customer to where I am
Comfortable using them for future Services and I abdol will not recommend them to anyone . I will implore people not to use them . At first the u it , It was put together with tape and glue ! I expect more from a professional company which they are not . PSEG should not approve this company for installation.

Please be careful with this company. They prey on senior citizens. They charged my father in law 897.00 for a facet replacement. Scammers!!! Buyer beware!!!!!

Obtain a written contract before the job is started. If you have not signed a contract BEFORE the job is started the most the contractor can charge you is $500. New Jersey's Home Improvement Practices Act protects homeowners when using contractors in their homes.

Contracts for home improvement projects costing more than $500 must be
written and must include the legal name and business
address of the contractor as well as a start date, a completion
date, a description of the work to be done, and the total
price. The contract must also include the contractor's
registration number. The contractor must also provide you
with a copy of his commercial general liability insurance policy
and the telephone number of the insurance company.
If no signed contract is in place BEFORE the job is started the most the contractor can charge you is $500.

My experience with Harris was very positive. Lightening hit my house, cracking a gas pipe and breaking my hot water heater. I reached out to Harris Monday night and Denise had a technician there to assess the situation Tuesday morning. Ty (the technician/ plumber) was highly knowledgeable and professional. He found the cracked gas pipe in my wall and repaired it all in the same day. He came out and replaced my hot water heater the next morning. I asked my friend who is a union pipe fitter what I should expect to pay for the repairs and his estimate was right in line with what Harris charged me. Overall they came fixed the problem and got me and my family back in my house within two days. Very nice guys, very nice company.

Had a three valve system and just wanted the center valve that was leaking replaced. $1800 later they left a 12""x12"" hole uncovered in my tile and converted it to a single valve system. They mismatched our chrome with satin nickel colors. Didn't know to flip our cartridge upside down since the house is old and hot and cold water were opposite. Thought that was severely over priced and after waiting three weeks to talk to a manager he said he'd get me a discounted quote to have the hole fixed. The cheapest option was to put those tiles back up and that was another $1300. With the discount. This company is a joke and does mediocre work for insane prices for those who cant or don't have the time to do it themselves.

I scheduled a video pipe inspection for my sewer line and they never showed up, not even a courtesy call to let me know I took off work and waited all day left a message and 20 minutes later they finally called back and said they are not going to make it today.

this company is a joke I'm still waiting for a mgr to ca me. I was told that they take complaints seriously & would call me back. understand that this was told me 3 times & it's been months later & haven't heard from them. also when changing out my faucet which I replaced not them & charged 500+ I questioned who get s 500 an hour??
also they never even checked my spray at the time which needs adjusting that sprays all over the place. Defiinitely not reputable!!!'

I have been with another heating air conditioning and plumbing company for almost 30 years, but the owner retired and went and the company went corporate. I decided to switch. I decided to call Harris heating and air conditioning and it was one of the better decisions I've made in my 70 years of life! They are very professional very quick, but also very honest. We had a plumber come out today for a toilet fix. His name is Niles. He was awesome. It was something very simple and he couldn't have been more helpful! Believe me, I will be calling Harris again for anything heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing! They let you know when they're coming and they're on time. What more can you ask? It's like it used to be back in the day!
