Took 3 trips over 2 days to stop a leak inside my toilet. Charged me for relacing the toilet handle which was not needed, and refused to respond to three phone msgs I left.

Went out of business on the heating and cooling side. Left us and others without recourse on yearly maintenance contracts paid up front. Never let their customers know what was going on.
Will never use their other services, nor will we ever use whomever they recommend.

I would give this company zero stars if I could! DON'T use this company unless you want to get ripped off! This company was sent to my house to fix a leak in my bathroom. After two days of "work" they said I needed to repipe my whole house! They quoted me a few thousand dollars more than the company I ended up hiring. I knew they were going to charge me for going out to my home, even though they didn't end up fixing anything, but when they sent me a bill for $860 I was floored! I called them to get an explanation of the bill, and the guy on the phone said it was $20 in materials and the rest was for labor. He said they were at my house for a total of 6 hours, and he needed to pay they guys that went out there. I asked him nicely to reduce my bill, because how can a company charge me over $800 to basically do nothing but put holes through my walls and tell me I needed to repipe my home? But he wouldn't lower my bill, so I paid him because I'm a responsible adult, but never again will I ever use this company or hire someone without first looking at the reviews.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am not happy at all with them. They came out promptly next day after my call...I will give them that. But the man as he was getting out of the truck demanded I pay him a fee of over 500 before even looking at the problem or estimating what needed to be done. I was prepared for a service call fee but that was ridiculous. The fact that he lied to my face saying that the county had called HIM was too much to take and the reason for my review. He also then called the county and complained about me and griping that he needed to pay his son or nephew or whatever flunky he brought with him to ride along for the dry run to my place. Then proceeded to tell the county I wasn't going to address the issue at all. Very unprofessional. I spoke with the county rep and she cleared up the issue. I am working with another septic company that has better people skills and isnt out to rip folks off and throw you under the bus. How rude.

Whenever we have had a problem we have used this company. For over twenty years! Hardin plumbing people were always professional and honest, with good prices and competent technical expertise.

We have had a problem for a number of years with our kitchen gray water line. Once a year around October it clogs up and needs cleaning out. Hardin always came out and fixed us up for around $225 dollars. No big deal. An annual operating expense.

This year after they came out they presented us with a bill for $685. In horror I protested and the bill was reduced to $425. Still this calculates out to about 400 dollars per hour.

Not Happy. Caveat Emptor

These folks have just the right mix of friendly and professional. The tech explained what had gone wrong with our hot water heater and answered all our questions. He never tried to pressure us into buying anything but gave us the information so we could make our choice. They were VERY prompt and we were surprised at the total bill - we had expected to pay quite a bit more. I would very highly recommend Hardin Plumbing.
