With over 80 years of dedicated service to Minnesota families! Delivering high-quality products and services to keep our customers comfortable and safe is our priority.
At Hanson's Plumbing & Heating, our clients are our top priority. Being a family-run heating, cooling, and plumbing business since the 1930s, we offer a complete range of services. From fixing leaky faucets to installing new furnaces, we manage it all. Our goal is to ensure our customers feel at ease not just in their homes, but also with the services we provide. Our reliability and determination drive us to finish every task, regardless of the obstacles.
No project is too big or too small for our certified team, from furnace repairs to air conditioning maintenance and plumbing installations. We offer prompt, trustworthy service throughout the Central Minnesota/Lakes Area. In case of emergencies, we offer 24/7 service, so you can get back to normal quickly.
Hanson's Plumbing & Heating traces its roots back to the early 1930s when Henry Hanson established a hardware store in Vergas, Minnesota. Henry opened the family business to serve his neighbors and earned the nickname Hardware Hank. As the business passed from father to son, we opened a second location in Perham and grew our services to encompass HVAC and plumbing.
While the world has evolved significantly over the years, our commitment to our customers remains unchanged. As the fourth-generation owner of Hanson’s Plumbing & Heating, I strive to maintain our family legacy of putting our clients at ease. I understand that calling a service like ours isn’t always a pleasant experience, but we have assembled an outstanding team to make your experience as stress-free as possible.
I served four years in the Air Force and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting before returning to the family business.

had them do some work on my water heater that was not working properly. first just called for a diagnostic check. got it narrowed down to a bad part. when asked what I would like to do I wanted a price quote. I was told they could not do that cause they didn't know what the part would cost. so agreed to if it was less than $200 for the part lets just get it fixed if more than that let me know I may just want to replace it. a week later they called to set an appointment so I asked how much it would be? I was told I just set appointment don't know the cost and being I told the tech if it was less than $200 we'll just fix it I guessed it was less and set the appointment. NOT THE CASE as they came and installed the part and then I asked for the bill and was told we'll send it to ya. thought well I can pay it when it comes then no big deal. about 3 weeks later the bill comes for $613 total AND $277 FOR THE PART $110 an hour labor. I could get the part myself for half the price when I looked it up and think they charged double time on the labor. I FEEL RIPPED OFF as I wanted a price before it was done and was in understanding if was more than $200 for the part they would let me know . For that price I would have replaced the water heater at more cost probably but had new. just saying
D S.My contractor hired them to install our plumbing and furnace system a few years ago. We have had 3 major problems since. First we had a water leak from an overheated fitting for our shower. A pin hole leak of water. $30,000 of damage. Then the dishwasher leaked. Again poor installation. Finally we learn that the humidifier was never installed properly and has never been working. Will never use this company again. Have used Esser to fix this mess and have been very happy with them.
My 31 year old furnace went out this spring. I called Hansons not knowing anything about them or any other HVAC businesses in the area but read about their company being family owned and I liked that. Everyone I dealt with from repair to sales and installation of my new furnace was very kind and professional, knowledgeable, and they even helped me with rebates and such. I also had them install a reverse osmosis unit and a water line to my fridge so I now have the BEST water and ice EVER! They were respectful and careful not to leave a mess. I can't say enough about them, just wonderful to work with and I am thankful I chose Hanson's.
