Great service, good price. The laundry sump pump went out suddenly. Called Hans and Sons Tuesday afternoon. They special ordered the replacement pump and were here Wednesday AM, on time. Jeff installed the new pump, new quiet check valve, took away the old pump and cleaned up all in less than an hour. Thank you Hans and Sons.

I usually try to give business to the little guy. I had to replace a sump pump. It was kind of an emergency so instead of doing it myself, I thought I would call Hans and Sons as they are a little, local shop and they are close by.

I was quoted $250 on the phone when I made the appointment which included the pump and the labor. However, the bill came to $360 after it was installed. When I asked the guy why the $110 increase, he simply said, the girl at the shop gave him the wrong price.

That was it. Matter of fact. No apologizes, no attempt to soften the blow. This is on top of him having to go back to his store to get his glasses so he could see well enough to put in the pump.

I would think twice about going to the little guy. Maybe it's time they concede to the big box retailers.
