5 stars for Hanna Plumbing.
Middle of the night, flushed the toilet ""snap"", flusher lever busted. Didn't get the name of the gentleman who helped me at the counter, but part was discontinued, he found similar, was out the door for 12$.
Install took 5 minutes and I'm back to flushing heaven.
Thanks Hanna Plumbing !

Ryan came yesterday to unclog a bath drain again what great service. He was polite, professional and did a great job. Thanks Ryan

I have used Hannah Plumbing since 1979. This includes 2 major remodels, 2 separate bathroom remodels and multiple hot water heater replacements and multiple drain cleanings. I estimate I've spent well over $20,000 with Hannah over 4 decades. After one of the most unsavory experiences I had two weeks ago I will NEVER use them again. The plumber who showed up (for 5 minutes) gave me faulty information about my backflow device and indicated I would need to replace it and suggested it couldn't be rebuilt. Information he gave me for a new unit was incomplete so I didn't buy one. However I did discover ON MY OWN how inexpensive and easy it is to rebuild it myself. When I called the manager to complain (Juan) he insulted me and defended his technician. He lost a dedicated customer with his poor people skills and sending a technician who was not interested in giving me the advice I needed. $140 for a 5 minute visit that he dispensed shoddy advice.

Chris did a great job at a quick pace. I really like their upfront business model and feel all charges were fair and much more reasonable than other estimates. Responsive to email and phone, no issues. We will use Hanna again with our future projects and based on my experience can highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Hanna plumbing was great to work with. We had 3 faucets that needed to be installed. They worked fast and efficiently. He even made time to fix my kitchen sink! Very pleased.

I was recently referred to Hanna plumbing, and gave them a call when I needed two toilets reset (just reattached). They called me back, and said a technician could be out to my home that afternoon. I asked about their billing/cost structure, and was informed that it is a flat hourly rate of $140 an hour.
When the technician got to my home, I was surprised to see two gentlemen. I assumed that they just work in a team. They inspected my toilets, and said that a special tool was needed to reset them. They then proceeded to spend roughly 30 minutes out at their van (on the street) on the cell phone figuring out where to get this tool. They then left my residence for 15-30 minutes. They returned, and began work on the toilets - it took them about 35 minutes to complete the job.
Before leaving, I asked the technicians about an invoice/what the charges would be. They told me that they would be billing for an hour of labor, as every call has a one hour minimum. This sounded fine. They also informed me that they wouldn't be able to create an invoice as they needed to check the pricing on the parts they used (two toilet flanges), but that the parts shouldn't exceed $50. This also sounded fine. They gave me a carbon copy of a blank invoice, and said that the finalized invoice would arrive in the mail.
So, to recap - one hour of labor at $140 an hour, plus maybe $50 in parts - that comes out to $190 or so. With tax, rounding up a bit, let's say a little over $200.
So, to my surprise, 7-10 days later, the invoice comes in the mail. The total is $622.75. Six hundred dollars (+), to reset two toilets, over a duration of 35 minutes. On the invoice, they billed their $140 hourly rate times two (one for each technician). This was not disclosed over the phone, nor in person. In addition to this, they billed for TWO full hours of labor, when they actually worked for 35-40 minutes at most.
So right there, we're at $560 just in labor. I called Hanna plumbing to ask about this, as I was sure it was a mistake. I was met on the phone a woman, who agreed that this seems unreasonable for such a small job. She also agreed that having two technicians (and double hourly labor rates) for a job like this should have been disclosed prior to their arrival. She said that she is unable to alter the invoice herself, and would need to contact the company's general manager, Juan.
The next day, I receive a call from Juan. He attempts to explain the charges as if they are totally normal, run of the mill, and absolutely fair. I explain to him that A) the double labor rate was not disclosed, B) I was billed for time spent on the cell phone/driving for a tool their technicians did not have, and C) their technician told me that they would be billing for only an hour of labor. Juan interrupted me, saying that he doesn't believe his technician would have told me that. He says that his technician told him that the double labor rate was disclosed to me at the door (it was not). So, he says he needs to speak with his technician again to compare stories (odd).
Fast forward to today, and Juan calls back again. He explains that to do me a big favor, he will be reducing the charges on the invoice to a single technician's rates. I said okay, that's great - this is how it should have been from the beginning - thank you. He says the new total is $367 - and asks if I have a credit card to pay. I said to him that still seems pretty high - am I still being billed for 2 full hours? He says of course, as if it is obvious.
I explain to Juan, again, that the time spent working was less than 40 minutes. I am perfectly fine with rounding that up to the 1 hour minimum, but two full hours seems to be egregious. He says that his technicians were on the call for 2 hours, so I am being billed for 2 hours. I explain to him, again, that his technicians were on their cell phones at their van for over half an hour, followed by LEAVING my residence for another 30-40 minutes. He says yes, I know, but they needed a special tool to do the job - this is billable time.
I asked Juan if his technicians didn't have a screwdriver, and needed to go to Home Depot to purchase one, am I supposed to pay for their driving, and time spent purchasing it? He says of course not - that's ridiculous. It seems the analogy was lost on him. If his technicians arrive to a job site unprepared to do the work, why am I responsible for the time they spend on the phone, driving, picking up said tool? At this time Juan, begins speaking over me, interrupting me, and exclaiming that Hanna plumbing is the best, most fair, most honest operation in town - ask anyone! He exclaims, again interrupting and speaking over me, that he will not be changing the bill, accused me of lying, and to do whatever math I want to and send them a check. He repeats this line, over and over, and then hangs up on me.
Is this how we do business now? Contacting the BBB and CSLB.

Highly recommend Hanna Plumbing!! They are fast and efficient! Chris came out to my house on the same day to assist with snaking our kitchen drain which was backing up into our dishwasher and sink. He was friendly and very good at answering all of my questions. Will definitely use Hanna Plumbing again for any plumbing needs

Katie, Plain & Simple your business history means nothing to me.
Any Business is only as good as they perform Daily.
FYI at No Time was I told there would be a charge for the estimate I scheduled for my buyers .
I was told by Susan in Service after the bill showed up, I Should Have Known there was a Charge.
So Unprofessional.
Just to clear things up Katie, quit lying to save face by saying so.
Thanks

I highly recommend Hanna Plumbing. Excellent service, quick response time and fair pricing. I was told their hourly rate up front, so I knew what to expect to complete my job. Their meter starts when they arrive at the job site, instead of charging for ""travel time"", as some plumbers do. Jared ,their plumbing technician, was very skilled and efficient, and solved my plumbing problem.

Why do they still have a contractor license? I had a leak in the slab and needed a bid to fix it for my insurance company. They came out, looked over the situation, and gave me a fixed bid. The insurance company approved. Two days later, I discovered no cold water in the Laundry room. They fixed their mistake but are now trying to charge me for their mistake! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
