Recommended Customer Reviews

We were very pleased with the service provided by Luis with Hanna Plumbing. He gave us two options and we are very happy with the choice we made. We would recommend them to friends and will call for other plumbing needs.

OK, we all know plumbers have a bad rep for gouging people. This is certainly not the case for Hanna Plumbing. I had used another local company for some repairs at my (new to me) place in Vista and it seemed like they were gouging me a bit for various projects over the past year for what actually needed to be done but what did I know? Well, my suspicions were confirmed when I got an estimate from this local competing company (that I will not name) when they quoted me $2300 to slightly relocate a 10' section of 1.5"" gas line that was in the way of our pool construction. And this was after I had done ALL of the necessary excavation to get it ready. I thought this was outrageous so I googled local plumbing companies and found Hanna just down the street from me and I remember seeing their building before passing by (I am new here).
So I called them up and got Ed Junior on the line. He basically gave me the suggestion to replace the entire 80' long old coated galvanized line with new inert yellow plastic if I could because the old pipe we had was antiquated and found over the years to be highly corrosive and was likely to fail within the next 10 years. Plastic would last forever. I double checked with a few other plumbing companies and they said the same thing about the galvanized pipe. That suggestion alone saved me in a huge way. And remember the original company never said a word about that either because they didn't know (incompetent), didn't care about me, or wanted to just get a quick hit on the job knowing I would not pay their rate if they suggested a total line replacement. Either they were incompetent or greedy.
Imagine that line failing 5 years from now and having to dig up all the hardscape around the pool. That would be a costly nightmare. The competitor never made that suggestion. But it gets better.
I am a landscape contractor and was digging trenches all over anyway so I asked Ed if it was possible if I could install the line myself, leave the trenches open and have his guys inspect it and make the final connections to save $. He said fine. A few other companies said all or nothing. So I went and bought all of the materials including the connection pieces from a local plumbing supply house and installed the entire line at a cost to me of about $400 for all parts and labor with my $15 per hour guys digging the trench. Then when all was ready, I called Ed and had his guys come up to do all final connections which is in short, no easy task. His guys were great and got that portion of the job done for $800. So to recap, my original plumbing company I had been using repetitively wanted $2300 to replace a 10' section parts and labor with me doing all of the digging. And had I done that, I would have had to replace the whole thing anyway soon when the old metal eventually failed which was a near certainty. I ended up replacing all 80' using my guys and Hanna for a total cost to me of $1200. Go figure.
All I can say is Ed better show up to my pool party.

If I could give Hanna Plumbing and Supply 10 stars, I would. As a Christian single mother of 2, on a budget, it is refreshing to know that there are still some reputable companies out there who still value excellent work ethics. I am the type of person who gives 100% in everything I do; and I expect the same from others (which rarely happens), so I am thankful when I find companies who do the same.
Not only did Hanna Plumbing and Supply give me a very reasonable quote over the phone without looking at the job, they SCHEDULED OUR SERVICE FOR THE NEXT DAY. That's just unheard of!
As a single mother of a special needs 19-year-old son, I am dependent on my son's nurse's schedule; and have to get all outside errands/tasks done while she's caring for my son at home. I was checking out at Costco's register when Segundo called to say he'd be at my home in 10-15 minutes to provide our service. When I asked Segundo if he could take his time getting to my house, he was very understanding.
Segundo was waiting outside our home when I arrived. He was very polite, knew exactly what the problem was solely based on what I told him, and went right to work to get the job done.
I was THRILLED that I was able to afford to get both showers repaired in LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF 1 SHOWER with other companies. Hanna Plumbing and Supply is an excellent company and I am going to recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you Hanna Plumbing and Supply. God Bless.

I dont understand how this place has so many good reviews on Nextdoor, I have flagged an Admin to review it. This place is the most disorganized service I have ever used. The girl that took my call was clearly overwhelmed and offered little to no answers for me other than that her hands are tied unless some guy named ""GP"" calls me back which for the record has taken 8 calls to accomplish and Im still waiting. Once I did get a tech I got the same thing others complain about... not enough time was allocated and we he has to come back. Sorry, but to be added to stack of pending work orders for a job that shouldn't take more than 3 hours is not going to work for me. I called another plumber and the job is done. This company is just not effective at all, complete waste of time. Avoid this place unless you have tons of extra time to deal with them.

Not a good experience and a waste of time.
We had a very small weeping leak at the point where the water comes into the house foundation....it was kind of a mystery as to what was going on.
Hanna was called due to the great Nextdoor app reviews. A guy came out to check it out. He was not dressed to work and it was obvious that he was not going to be getting his hands dirty. He checked a couple of things and said that we do not have a leak and that the copper line coming into the house is ""non-functional"". Ok....he was then asked, ""where is the water coming from?"" His response was ""I don't know but you don't have a leak"".
Very weird...
I called the company back and the curt response I received from the service dept. was put a fan on it for a few days and call us if there is still a problem. I said I'm pretty sure that the leak is not going to go away...I was then told that I may want to call another trade...what!?
We then called another company. They sent out their technician and I could tell from the start that he was going to put his heart into helping us and figure it out. I was right! It was not a simple easy fix but he stayed with it all the way to the end and ended up saving us added frustration and money.
Bottom line...we did have a leak and the line going into the house is functional and it's now fixed!

We recently moved into our house and found a leak on the upstairs bathtub which caused water going through the ceiling. A plumber vendor of AHS came to assess the problem wanting to charge $1000 for the job ($340 out of pocket for us). We were not satisfied with this diagnosis so we called Hanna Plumbing. It was a pleasure to talk to the lady answering the phone who sent Chris to our home the next house to figure out the problem. Needless to say the first plumber was wrong thinking he had found the problem because Chris from Hanna Plumbing realized the culprit was a crack in the bathtub. Chris fixed it and we paid a 1/4 of the original estimate from AHS's plumber.
We would call Hanna Plumbling for any plumbing issues AND recommend them without a doubt.

We had two different plumbers come by our place and fail to fix our plumbing issue, I ended up calling Hanna Plumbing because our local plumber said they might have the part we needed.... The guy on the phone was kind and helpful.
In the end, Hanna fixed our issue simply, quickly, and easily. It actually astounds me that the previous two plumbers were not able to figure it out as it seemed to be a fairly simple fix!
Definitely will recommend these guys to anyone in the area in the future!

Our write-up appears a little long, but it is an easy read.
Project: We used Hannah Plumbing and Supply for a small bathroom update job. Due to the size of this bathroom, we did the project as an Owner-Builder.
Description of Service: Hanna sold us and installed a Cast-Iron Tub. They also installed our Owner-Provided Shower/Tub Plumbing Trim, Toto Toilet and Toilet Washlet. Hanna is one of a few Plumbers that will still install Cast-Iron Tubs, due to the weight of these tubs. Their Estimator explained to us that Hanna has 30+ employees, so they can do just about any job. Our Cast-Iron Tub is beautiful! Part of Hanna's Warranty was that there be no chips, cracks or other damage to the tub itself. Our new Cast-Iron Tub is Quality and free of any scaring.
Technical Experience: We contacted several Plumbers regarding our bathroom project. We found that Hanna Plumbing is a Full-Service Plumbing Company with extensive Technical Experience (70 yrs+) in North San Diego County. Technical Experience was an important Evaluation Factor for us, since water is involved with this aspect of our update. We are spending several thousand dollars on tile work as well. Thus, we wanted to make sure the plumbing inside the walls was done correctly. Another reason that we choose Hanna was for their Warranty of their work.
Scheduling: Hanna's Scheduling was good for us, and they worked with us too. Their Plumbers and Helpers arrived on time. When I asked how long something would take (i.e., delivery of tub, installation of a fixture or appointment date, etc.; Hanna always provided me an accurate estimate.
Issues Resolved: We had no issues with Hanna's service. In fact, Hanna was very proactive with us. Their Estimator gave us me some tips on how to save some money on our project and even a tip on the fixture colors. We took his advice and incorporated them into our project. When the actual Plumber came to install the tub, he noticed that the tub was too heavy for our tile floor. This Plumber conferred with another Plumber, and they determined that it was best for the Warranty to remove the tile ledge. Therefore, we had that tile removed. Their Plumber also noticed that the Tub Spout was too short for the Kohler Tub design. The sprout that we had would have worked; but the water would have hit the tub wall and splashed outside of the tub. We believe that only an experienced Plumber would catch this. Originally, we had ordered a Moen Oil-Rubbed Bronze (ORB) Shower/Tub Plumbing Trim Kit, but we were using a Kohler Cast-Iron Tub. When everything was ordered, we did not notice that the Kohler tub has a slant at the faucet side, as well. Thus, we had to return the ORB kit and purchase separate ORB Plumbing Trim. We are very glad that Hanna brought this to our attention. Their Plumber saved us a problem down the road.
Price Reasonableness: We used a Best-Value Approach for our Tub/Shower Project, instead of a Lowest-Cost Approach. We first decided what we wanted. Then, we decided on what was important to us. Finally, we assigned value to our Evaluation Factors. Our Relevant Factors were Product (Cast-Iron Tub), Quality (Kohler), Technical Experience, Warranty, Risk (water source) and Price. In our case, the Non-Price Factors were more important than Price, but we still evaluated the Price.
Due Diligence: We searched the CA Contractors State License Board and found Hanna Plumbing to have an Active and Current Contractors' License, appropriate Contractor Bonding and Workers' Compensation Insurance. Hanna Plumbing also has a showroom, numerous employees with benefits, a multitude of vehicles, a website and other business expenses. We realize that it costs Hanna Plumbing more to operate, than a Plumber with a truck, no license, no insurance and some business cards. Hanna Plumbing has been part of our community for years, and they provide many jobs to our community. Thereby, we did pay a little more for their contract, but not much.
Overall: Hanna exceeded all of our salient requirements--Product, Quality, Technical Experience, Warranty, Risk and Price.

Well this is going to be a long one , had them come out for leak in guest bathtub first let me say nick did a nice job with work he did but the reason I am writing this review is to let you know that I wrote a very thorough review about my treatment at the hands of the office staff and the miss communication I had with them was treated rudely so I communicated that in my review explain the situation about how between the plumber and whoever makes the appointments there was a lot of confusion and then I woke up this morning and this manager calls my husband about my review and the first thing my husband asked if you'd like to talk to his wife since I'm the one that wrote the review he said well your names on the invoice , you let your"" wife make the decision, my husband said we both make decisions together ( long marriage) so he said he wouldn't come out and finish the project intell I took my yelp review down I ask if he was holding me hostage for my review he said they would not finish the job just pay for him I said finish the job he said take down review I said are you holding me hostage again and he says well your review ruins my business ,so I took it down they finished the job like I said Phil did a wonderful job but will never use this company again and if he thought I was going to not re-post a bad review maybe he shouldn't have a business or train his office staff how to treat a customer, I hate giving a bad review and never have before so I waited awhile before coming back to post but the more I thought about it .....

I had a great experience from the moment I called to completion of the job.
The woman on the phone was very and and did not have an appt for the same day but took my number in case something opened up and it did.
The technician (Jarod) was very friendly, and did the job promptly, quickly and efficiently.
The price ended up being lot less than I anticipated too. I had called a few other company companies who gave me a price over the phone/text and their price was near double what I paid with Hanna.
Will call then again
