Ma C.Adam did a fast and accurate job. I love Hanna. They are always on time. They are always affordable. All is good.
We called Hannah plumbing to check under our home for a leak because we noticed a wet spot on our concrete driveway right next to the house. They couldn't find any leaks, we paid them n they left. Within a few days I noticed the spot on the driveway got larger right after I did about 3 loads of laundry. I called them to ask if they checked the washer connection to plumbing under the home, spoke to Marco who was here and he could not remember if he checked it, he just said there were no leaks. I asked them to come and please check it, we need to know if that's what causing the problem, my husband is 76 and unable to do it. I was transferred to different people three times and in the end told that they will call someone in charge tomorrow and let me know if they will come back. That was 4 days ago. I might add that at the time Marco was checking for leaks under the house he never asked us to turn any faucets on. Our experience with this company was negative because they listened to their employee rather than paying attention to their customer. I would have been much happier to post a positive review
I can't write a review on Hanna's services because they decided not to even show up or call for our 9:00A.M. appointment. Talk about shoddy practices. Thanks but no thanks to this company.
Marion, IA (Not San Francisco) I hired Hanna Plumbing to do repairs on a weekend. When I called the Marion Hanna (they have #'s for service in Cedar Rapids & Marion) I was told that because it was the weekend, instead of $75 per hour it would be $149. While it was costly, I had heard good things about their service, so I agreed. I received a call from the on-call plumber shortly, saying he was in Cedar Rapids and would be there in a half-hour. After the plumber was finished for his ONE hour work, he gave me the bill- for 1.5 Hours!!! I was flabbergasted! He proceeded to tell me that because it took him a half-hour to get there, I had to pay for that time. He might as well said that he came from the moon, and I had to pay him 120hrs. I called MARION Hanna - Not Cedar Rapids. Regardless, I wasn't told ahead of time by the phone person, nor the plumber, that I would be charged for travel time before work began! Talk about sneaky charges! The sad part? Hanna is only 5 minutes from my house. Beware when they quote you the price- it is not the whole story. Also - one of the items I had them look at was pipes under my sink that were dripping....they still drip.
We were having intermient problems with our furnace. I called first thing this morning and a tech named Brad was over within 30 minutes. Very impressed with his manners and professionalism, he even took off his shoes without being asked. We were up and running again less than 30 minutes later. Great service.
Jamie T.Our furnace went out yesterday, and after trying a few basic steps I found on the internet it was clear I was no expert. The receptionist was very friendly and professional, and even though not a technician, offered up a few basics to check before they sent someone out in the morning. Josh was my technician who called to let me know he was on his way about 10-15 minutes beforehand which was great, and was even a few minutes early. He was able to point out to me how my furnace worked while he was working, and explained what all of the parts were without making me feel like an idiot so I could do a little more intermediate troubleshooting if something were to happen again. Josh found the issue and showed me the part that was broken, what function it had and why it likely had broken down.
He was in and out in about an hour, was very professional and helped explain a lot of things that I didn't understand. As a fairly new homeowner I appreciated the extra time taken so I could get a better comprehension of what was going on. I will definitely be using Hanna's for any other issue I ever come across, and would highly recommend them.
Tim W.I called Hanna Plumbing & Heating out to my house to do a air test on my gas lines because there is an odor of natural gas in my house and MidAmerican wasn't able to find any leaks. Instead of doing a air test on the gas lines in my house, the plumber spent an hour trying to find a leak with his combustible gas leak detector and would not do the air test that I called him out to do. I cannot not recommend Hanna Plumbing & Heating to anybody.
Greg Y.I own my house. I'm going to stay in it for as long as possible. I would not trust my home to some cut-rate ""gee I've got a truck"" plumber guy and refuse to work with a plumber who gets his supplies at the local super stores. They say if you want to know who the best plumbers are, contact a major plumbing supply company and they'll refer you to good ones. Hanna Plumbing and Heating is a union shop and that's good news because generally an employee must apprentice for a long time before being given responsibility to work alone with customers...and other employees have regular training to keep up with changes in tech. Don't fall for the ""free service calls"" BS...they're never free and you may end up paying twice when Hanna Plumbing and Heating has to fix what they screwed up. New furnace...new air conditioner and a 60-dollar monthly heating bill because of it. On time, on budget and very happy with the service. Thanks Hanna Plumbing and Heating!
I woke up to find part of the kitchen ceiling on the floor due to a leak. I called, they were here in less than an hour and fixed the problem - can't say enough good things. ALso assured me of lifetime guarantee if any more problems. Put them first on your emergency list!!
Kurt K.I need to have my floor drain cleaned out once ever other year or so. I like to support Marion businesses, so this time I called Hanna Plumbing. For a job like this, that was a mistake. It is at most a 1/2 hour job, but Hanna charges a minimum of one hour at $90 an hour. They also charged a machine usage fee of $20 and a service fee of $15. The total was $133.00 and the time the guy spent here was less than 25 minutes from the time his truck hit my driveway to the time he was back on the road, and that included some chit chat and me writing the check. These charges are way out of line. Last time I had this done it cost me $45. The service person was friendly and he did a nice job, but I think even he was embarrassed by what he had to charge. This is not rocket science. Essentially, I paid $266 an hour for this guy to unclog my drain. I feel totally ripped off!
