Handyman Heroes came through yet again! I've called on them for a number of different services now, and this most recent occasion was to replace a piece of siding on my house. It was a challenging job, but Vince got it done in an hour. But what happened next is what this review is really about -- flexibility. I kept forgetting that I had two old out of service satellite dishes on my roof that I wanted removed, and when I mentioned it to Vince, he said he'd do it now if he had time but would have Miguel contact me to make an appointment. Not only did Miguel contact me that afternoon, he was able to schedule Brandon to show up the next day at a convenient time. Brandon completed my very first Handyman Heroes request and he did an amazing job, so I was thrilled to have him back. He had both dishes removed and holes patched in about an hour, and just like with my first request he completed, he showed me pictures of the work that was completed since it happened in a not-easily-accessible location. It was all done with a smile and with utmost professionalism, and at a fair price. Bravo!

Brandon did an excellent job installing two new exterior doors.
After the rains the bottoms of the original doors swelled. Brandon came out, measured the doors, ordered them, picked them up, cut them to size, painted and installed the 2 doors. It rained that next week, and the new doors swelled up again. Ack! Brandon and Vince addressed the issue. They ordered an aluminum framed door and a solid six panel door to hold up to the rain and installed those doors without any additional labor charges for the redo. I thought that was standing by their work. I was satisfied with the final job. Brandon was prompt, hard working, skilled and had a positive attitude.

Perhaps this company has improved, but for two years pre-Covid they were contracted to do repairs on my frig through my warrantee company. I was having problems specifically with the ice maker. Scheduling was very difficult. Several men came, each saying they had fixed it and that it would be making ice within 12 hours, only to find they had not and it would not. The third one actually broke the whole unit so the whole unit had to be replaced. HH then said it was my responsibility to contact the manufacturer for new parts and to pay for them myself. At this point my warranted had expired, and they wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars to install the new unit. I ultimately had to call the manufacturer to locate a competent person to repair/replace it. It took me almost three years to get my ice maker replaced and working. The manufacturer extended my warrantee, covered the new serviceman and sent me the ice maker parts for free.

We had a dryer vent booster fan that was so loud it shook the house - to complicate matters, the existing access panel was in a place that made it nearly impossible to investigate the issue, let alone fix it. The quote was eye-wateringly expensive, but this job needed to be done right. Larry came out, took a quick look, and made a detailed plan/estimate of the work that needed to be done. Our handyman, Damon, was on time, quick, thorough and neat. He cut a new access panel, patched and painted the old one, serviced/braced the dryer vent booster fan, and cleaned up the mess. Before he left, I asked Damon if I could try the booster fan out to make sure it was improved - he said, ""it's on right now."" I couldn't believe my ears.

If you need a job done right, Handyman Heroes is worth the price.

Vince was amazing we had to replace and install 3 big TVs and Vince knew knew everything starting from te mount to setting up the remotes. Also hang some pictures very accurately and neat wiring that helped keep the room pretty. Overall great experience!

Vince at Handyman Heroes is the best. Very communicative. Great problem solving. Works so hard on the job. Doesn't take offense when you ask a question. He just completely transformed the primary bath in our old home in SF. His tile laying in a room with uneven floors and walls is A+. (Just don't ask for him this week as our HOA needs him for another project. Lol.)
