Vince from Handyman Heroes showed up for an initial consultation. I explained that one of the issues was that my closet doors did not fit properly. He took a look around the closet, grabbed one of the doors, and started jostling it hard. So hard, in fact, that he ripped it (and the bottom hinge) out of the wall. That's when he noticed that the bottom hinge was ripped out of the wall, turned to me, and said ""that's part of your problem, right there"" (apparently ignorant of the the plaster and other debris from freshly ripping the hinge out of the wall). I was flabbergasted. What I didn't realize until later was that the closet was now resting on the exposed metal hinge, directly on my hardwood floor. Now I have several deep gouges in the floor. Oh, and the closet door is still broken (and going to be fixed by a different handyman service). Thanks Handyman Heroes.

Nemo from Handyman Heroes installed an 8' tall bookshelf system and made some much needed adjustments to our cabinet doors. and drawers. The shelves are great, and I'm pleased that the cabinets and shelves look straight--I lived with the wonkiness way too long!

We used Nemo to do some rodent-protection repair work and he was excellent. No only was Nemo timely, but very pleasant and customer-wish concerned. He has very fine manners and is a pleasure to work with. We will certainly be using him in the future.

We had a great first time experience with these guys. We live in Windsor and We hired them to help us fix a retaining wall in our backyard. We called and added on a couple things and they were happy to accommodate our extra projects. They cut and installed our baseboards and fixed a rotten cabinet base under the sink. I was shocked at the amount of work they completed in 2 days, Nemo and Jason worked their butts of on the tail end of the hottest days all summer. They were promptly on time and vocal with what they were going to be doing. They were respectful of my dogs and baby. A huge bonus that will defiantly get me calling again was how safe I felt with them wandering around my house. I didn't feel like I needed to spy or worry. They worked and worked and worked, never noticed them sitting around or using inappropriate language. I've already told some friends that they did great work :)

Nemo from Handyman Heroes did great work on some complicated projects I'd been putting off. First, I had a set of suspended glass cable shelves that were taken off the wall by a temporary roommate who refused to put them back up when he left. The glass panes were too heavy for me to lift so I couldn't do it, and I'd already had one handyman come by who declined the job because he wasn't sure how to do it. I was feeling pretty worried that the shelves would never get back up (they were also years old so no longer had the instruction manual,) but Nemo did it quickly with precision and ease. I was literally shocked how fast he was.
Next, my flatscreen tv is mounted above a fireplace, and I'd had an issue where they were originally mounted too far down near the fire and the sound bar and bottom of the tv frame started melting. So I needed the TV moved up, the new sound bar installed, and a shelf installed below to deflect the heat. Best Buy, who did the initial incorrect installation, was going to charge over $400 for a full new installation. Thankfully Nemo saved the day (and my wallet) again! He got the tv adjusted and the shelf up; however, I had somehow lost the mounting hardware for the sound bar, but Nemo was able to send me a link to where I could order the replacement. I can't wait to have him return when the part arrives to finish the job.

Nemo was professional, courteous, clean, and fun to talk to. Highly recommended!!

We needed an handy man to take down a chandelier and reinstall it our sons house . They sent us Jesse ""NEMO"" Pruet who did a wonderful job. Not only did he know what he was doing , he found problems with our sons electric and fixed those also. He is a pleasant man, easy to talk to and honest as the day is long. He is an asset to this company and I would recommend him and the company anytime. Thank you for a job well done!!!!!

Handyman Heroes really helped us out of a bind with relatively short notice, providing quick service, and being friendly and accommodating along the way! The company sent Oliver, a young man who made two trips to our office with tools ready to go and smiles for everyone.

We recently moved into a new work-space and needed some wiring done for internet access. Comcast came and told us it would take at least 60 BUSINESS DAYS to have anything done because, by their definition, running a couple dozen feet of panduit/wire molding along the perimeter of a wall to hide external cables for internet hook up constituted as ""major construction"" that required multiple levels of approval.

After no contact for about 40 days we got impatient and contacted Comcast who then informed us that they basically forgot about our request, that no one was scheduled for a ""site survey"", and they weren't sure how long it would take to send out an electrician to do the wire work prior to internet installation. With their ""permission"" we decided on hiring a third party service to do the preliminary wire installation. We gave Handyman Heroes a call. They came out within a day to do the site survey, provide us a fair quote, and went off to purchase the extra parts needed for job completion. We made an appointment for installation for the following week, and the installation job was completed smoothly and without any difficulties.

Comcast finally made the effort to come to our office after 50ish days. The site surveyor saw the wire work done and was impressed by how clean it looked. He said there shouldn't be any problems. A man from Comcast just came TODAY to hook our office up with internet and, upon finishing the job, also commented on how clean and professional the panduit/wire molding job looked, and how easy it was for him to work with what Handyman Heroes installed to get his job done.

While the receptionist and handyman were responsive and very pleasant, I would not recommend this business. We had some simple, but heavy bi-fold closet doors hung. The work took 5 hours - no that's not a typo - FIVE HOURS. Add to that, the handyman charged us when he was gone for 30 minutes retrieving tools from his house that he had FORGOTTEN. Folks - it shouldn't cost almost $600 just to hang some closet doors. We were ripped off - don't get ripped off too. Learn from us.
