Unfortunately, my experience is much the same as some of the other people who've written reviews. At first Marriaha was very responsive and did excellent work on some projects; she also seems to have outstanding skills in a broad range of work. But Marriaha then became completely unresponsive and left one small project unfinished. I texted her many times over several weeks -- no response. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.

Purchased a white ceiling fan to be installed in Family Room. Contacted Handy Gal as she did such great jobs at my prior residence (condo). Received a response within an hour. Marriaha was very honest and explained possible variables. Quite honestly, with the purchase of this poorly handled flip, I anticipated the worse. She said she was available Wednesday morning or next time would be Saturday. I requested Wednesday morning. Marriaha said 10:00. Unfortunately, prior to her arrival she texted me that she was running late and would arrive between 10:30 - 11. She arrived just after 11. Marriaha is absolutely amazing. She evaluated the situation and best approach. Each step of the way she was extremely patient and cordial. Within an hour, the ceiling fan was in full operation with corresponding remote. With her efforts, the electrical box was deemed satisfactory so no extra charge to replace box. Her price for ceiling fan installation is very reasonable (as with her other jobs). Marriaha again apologized for arriving late. The only reason I mention it is the fact that in every other way this was a five star service. Looking forward to future work.

Handy Gal was able to help me when I needed something done quickly. She went above and beyond, and worked hard to get my project done. She was even done earlier than promised. She communicated well throughout the process.

Marriaha was very responsive at first- seemed knowledgeable and prices were reasonable. We had a fairly long list of small projects and she got off to a good start and the tasks she finished, she did well. Then she started rescheduling appointments and finally quit showing up at all with no messages. We paid her invoices very promptly and in full. Too bad as quality home repair people are hard to find.

This review is for repair and refinishing my deck. She finished one half of the project then sent her teenage or very young son and his buddy to finish the job. They didn't cover the entire fascia, missed spots and got stain on my house. They also left all the lumber that was removed on my lawn and loose screws on my steps. A large sander was used which tore out several chunks of wood. When informed of this, she came back. She did take away the lumber and scraps they left. She also finished the staining and touched up the spots they missed. She managed to miss several areas on the fascia. I don't get it. She had two chances and it's still not right. One star.

Marriaha is a great combo of professional and friendly! She's a really good communicator so she can 'see' the project before she even starts. She completed the plumbing for the bathroom upgrade and installed toilet and vanity with great attention to detail.

I needed my faucet replaced. She was great to work with, explained what she was doing, and made sure I was happy before finalizing the new faucet. I'm very pleased!

I hired Marriaha to install a tarp on my outdoor pergola to protect my outdoor furniture from the winter storms.
She seemed really nice but on the day we had planned for her to complete the job, she sent her teenage son instead.
The tarp did not look sturdy and I expressed concern, but her son reassured me that the tarp would be ""just fine"" and if there was an issue they would absolutely address it.
With the first storm of the season, a big part of the tarp came down & broke a wire were a few (one of a kind) outdoor sculptures were hanging and broke them.
I contacted Marriaha to ask for her help to secure the tarp that I had paid her to install, (without even asking for compensation about the damage that was caused by the poor installation of the tarp by her teenage son). Gave her the benefit of the doubt over the holiday period. Contacted her again in the beginning of the year and again after another week. She ignored my messages/phone calls and never responded.

Please watch your back and think twice before hiring Marriaha for your project.

12/6/20 - Made contact w/Marriaha. She was very responsive. Scheduled an appt for 12/11/20
12/11/20 - Rec'd text from Marriaha that she had to reschedule due to car trouble. Rescheduled for 12/21/20
12/21/20 - Marriaha replaced shower mixer valve/temp flo valve. Also had 3 sprinklers in need of repair. One sprinkler was broken at pipe/elbow, not just a sprinkler replacement. Marriaha said she'd like to come back to repair elbow/pipe. Said she was taking the rest of the week of for the holidays and would get back to me after the holidays to schedule the sprinkler work. Never heard back.
1/19/21 - Sent Marriaha a text. (Gave her plenty of grace & space for holiday time.) I asked if she was going to reschedule the sprinkler work and if not, that was fine, just respond either way letting me know. Never rec'd a response.

Maria did an amazing job at creating my custom bookshelves. She was able to install them in one day, and they are perfect for my office! My office is still a work in progress on my end, but this is what the bookshelf look like! Can't wait to finish my reno in here and complete my office, with her perfect bookshelves!
