We have used Hander for several issues and have been very satisfied with their service. When our sump pump failed, other companies said they could help us in a day or two. Hander came out within an hour, replaced the sump, and kept us from incurring significant damage to our finished basement. If you want prompt, courteous service, call Hander.

Had a problem with my water heater, the person from Hander show up at my house at 11:30am and he was done fixing the problem by 12:00pm. He put on the invoice that he was working from 10:45 am to 12:00pm.When I call back to check why i was being charge since 10:45am, I learned that you are charged the moment they leave the shop. When i question the 45 min traveling time(google maps says 21 with heavy traffic) the Lady said that since the person had to go to the shop from his last call to pick up a part for my work that I was being charge for that. I called the day before with the part number so they could have the part in hands when the arrive. I guess they used this strategy to charge you more. So lets say the plumber is on the other side of town and your call is next and they have to to go to the shop for being short in parts you are being charge for all this travelling. I told them that i was ok with them charging me for the moment he left the shop but its not my responsibility to paid him to go back to the shop. Really bad customer service.

Terrible customer service, pick someone else. The part we bought from them and they installed on our water heater went bad in under 2 months. They came out to tell us the part they installed was bad and charged us for this 2nd visit ..then when they didn't have the part (still under warranty) on them and it would be about 2 weeks to get it they told us they would be charging us for a 3rd visit then when they came back to install it (all stemming from our original complaint). When we tried to work this out with them they weren't willing to meet in the middle on anything. So they got over $200 and we still don't have a fully working water heater. They say they are committed to providing excellent service and 1st time resolution..don't be fooled.

We had a leak dripping into our basement. To us, it seemed to be the drain pipe from the bathroom sink. We Hander come take a look at it. The plumber decided it was our faucet that was causing all the problem. But he couldn't work on it that day, so he'd come back the next day. In the meantime, I went out and got a new faucet and vanity, took out all the old stuff, put the new vanity in, and did everything except connect the hoses. When he came back, he said, ""You did half the work for me. More than half!"" And yet, I was charged for 2 days of work, because of the initial evaluation. But it gets better.
We promptly left town for the weekend, only to discover Monday morning that there was water dripping (heavier than before) in our basement. Called Hander back to finish what they had been hired to do. Turns out, the problem was the drain pipe all along, which is what we initially told him. It took several hours to replace that section of the drain pipe, after which, the plumber left our bathroom a complete mess, but not before putting the vanity back in place over the top of chunks of plaster, drywall, and plumbing gunk. And they charged us for yet another day of labor.
Bottom line - you can find someone better. Ask around.
