Woohoo!! Hamzeh answered the phone as I was furiously phoning plumbers to come today! Hamzeh took the time to ask me about my situation... even though he had two large jobs to finish in SF, he did not treat me like a small job. Rather, I felt very important and that my problem mattered to him. He was at my house in 15 minutes with all of his knowledge, eagerness to fix, and professionalism to go around. I don't have to ever look for another plumber again because I have Hamzeh's card on my fridge and the comfort knowing he is the best!! Did I mention it is December 23rd? Look no further, Hamzeh is your man and I couldn't be more grateful... Thank you!

I had a Water Heater go out and called Hamzeh Plumbing after I read so many great reviews. Hamzeh Plumbing was top notch and professional, he wasn't pushy, made suggestions and let us make the right decisions. He also came on a Sat morning and replaced my Water Heater the same day. He took the time to clean up everything, make sure guided me through the process. He very nice and also got the job done professionally and didn't leave a mess. He also did little stuff for free which is always appreciated versus charging for every little thing. Great experience and would refer him to anyone. He only accepts Checks or Cash.

Like the other reviewers say: Hamzeh is a lifesaver who you'll really appreciate if you've been wrestling with so-so pipes or so-so plumbers. He quickly replaced a ton of 70-year-old galvanized steel pipe and corrected a bunch of mistakes wrought by earlier repairs.

Three things stand out:

(1) Hamzeh knows his stuff. He not only knew how to rebuild an ancient shower valve in my house, but he knew where to get the 20-or-so arcane gaskets we needed.

(2) He does not cheap out on the parts. Yes, you're the one paying for the parts, but here's the point: You're paying a plumber for the hours needed to install something. If he installs a cheap valve that will need replacement soon, then you saved $1 on the part and you'll pay for it in, say, $300 worth of labor 2 years from now. So listen to Hamzeh: Use decent quality parts.

(3) He lays out all the options for you. This goes with #1, above. He's got the experience to know what the various options are in a given situation, and he'll spell them out for you.

Hamzah got back to us within a couple of hours of leaving a message. Points right there because my experience with call back of so many service ""professionals"" in the area has been 50-50 at best. He scheduled his visit for the next day. This was to fix some bad plumbing that we'd lived with for years under the kitchen sink and to install a dishwasher that we'd gotten from a local big box store. Hamzeh was informative, funny and polite. His quote was very reasonable and he cleaned up everything. I recommend him for anything plumbing-related.

I called in a panic on Sunday about my fridge water line valve. He came within an hour but it turns out it's a much bigger issue so he he had to reschedule. Fortunately, he was able to come Monday morning with his assistant. He is very personable & reasonable on price. Most importantly, it seems like he is extremely ethical & will do the job right. Hamzeh plumbing called me back on a Saturday night at 9pm when I discovered water shooting from the side of our house. He came on time (9am) Sunday morning, scoped it out, went to get parts and returned and finished the job at 3pm. Hamzeh clearly explained the problem and his solution. He works clean, is personable and has a good sense of humor. His price seemed more than reasonable for amount of work he had to do. When you have an older home and the plumbing starts going bad it is refreshing to have someone like Hamzeh plumbing come to the rescue. He arrived within an hour of my call and repaired and fixed the bathroom sink in less than an hour. His personable attitude and reasonable price for the repairs puts him on my preferred service list. He took the time to show me where and how the problem got started and gave me instruction on what to do if it happened again. I will definitely recommend his service to friends and use him for our next repair.

Hamzeh is fantastic! My kitchen sink was backed up....way backed up. I called him in the morning and within the hour he was at my house. I had to do a conference call for work so I quickly told him the problem, showed him the various drains, clean outs, etc and then proceeded to get stuck on the phone almost an hour. Through various hand signals and notes scribbled on big pieces of paper, I was kept updated on his progress during my call. The best one was when he described my drain problem as being filled with sludge like thick, black jello! He took care of everything with the sink, was clean with his work and was extremely nice. I highly recommended him and will be calling him next time I have plumbing problems.
