Highly recommended. John was on time, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Unclogged my kitchen sink and washer. Didn't try to upsell or BS about needing major work. He tried with a regular snake which didn't work, so he got another heavy duty snake and solved the problem. There was a plug missing and John provided one without me asking, what a great guy.

My neighbor even knew him and said he was a great guy.

Main line clogs are rampant where we live in the South Bay and happens to just about every homeowner at some point. After looking at several different plumber reviews, we took a chance on Hammond's and we're happy we did. Hammond's was the first plumber that didn't try to convince us we needed to replace the main line, unlike other plumbers who have unclogged the drain in the past. They just came over (after doing the same job at a couple other places), cleared the line, and explained what was clogging it. The fee was very competitive and John was courteous and pleasant. I also appreciate working with a small, local business. While it took a couple hours for them to be able to come out because they were busy, I'm glad we waited. We won't hesitate to call them again with any future plumbing issues.

had a pipe broke in the middle of the night, had the water shut off, and called john hammond and left a msg(since its in the middle of the night) they came early in the morning and john fixed our pipe in a couple hours! we use hammond rooter before and always great service and excellent work! u need plumbing or any other drain work hammond rooter is the number to call! thanks again john hammond rooter!!! I couldn't figure out why my bathroom always smelled bad. I tried cleaning the shower drain with chemicals and a paint roller. A cleaning tip I found on the web. Didn't work. I suspected there was no trap in the shower allowing the fowl smell to escape. So I called Hammond's Rooter. They were here in 1 hour and confirmed my suspicion. It was a tough dirty job crawling under the house and they had it fixed in a few hours. No more smell. And very reasonable.

John provided total transparency and education along the way while diagnosing the true issue (not in the main line) and repairing it for a fraction of the cost.

John Hammond is awesome!! He came out to fix a water line back up late this afternoon - Sunday. John is personable and very informative about what the problem was. A few hours later our problem fixed and both bathrooms left cleaner than before he arrived. I would recommend John anytime!

We had our toilet act up on new years eve morning and called john sunday morning. He was at our home in under an hour and discovered we had giant roots growing up our toilet pipes. He was extremely helpful and had our toilet flushing back to normal in no time. Would highly recommend him for any job and will be using him in the future!

Tonight when I came home from work, I discovered our toilets had clogged! And the bathtub! And nothing was going down! The good old sewer main clog, a familiar sight if you've lived in the great old houses of Torrance. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach, preparing myself to call many plumbers and be stuck with no working toilets tonight.

So I searched for a plumber on yelp, and see all the usual plumbers... but then I saw Hammond's Rooter. I've never heard of them before, so I decided to give them a call. John answered the phone, and let me know that he'd get a plumber out as soon as possible - Jimmy showed up at my door 30 minutes later.

In my years living in Torrance I've never had a plumber come to my house 30 minutes after calling, especially not at 9pm on a Friday. John ended up having to come over too, so they could snake the drain from the roof. They worked their butts off, and did a fantastic job. The price was very reasonable, too!

Again, I can't overstate how much I appreciate their work, thanks Jimmy and John! I really, really appreciate it!

There's backup in the bathtub, toilet bowl and undrained sink. I was in urgent need of unblocking the drains. I found Hammond's on Yelps. John, the owner, answered my call and reacted very promptly. John sent Jimmy to take care of my order. Jimmy snaked through the main line and bathtub patiently. He has solved the problem in a swift, tidy and professional manner. The service charge is at a reasonable and affordable level. There is no surcharge for emergency call. I will definitely use Hammond's again as needs arise
