During a recent major remodel of our Torrance house, we were informed by our prime contractor that our 40 year old copper plumbing was totally shot and in need of replacement. John Hammond's team came highly recommended and spent a full two weeks ripping out the old copper lines and installing new PEX transmission tubing and custom copper points of use. He communicated with us daily on any issues that arose as well as some excellent upgrades and recommendations -- all within the initial price quote which, was at a very fair market price. It was a total pleasure to work with his team which was extremely courteous and professional throughout the job. Rather than focusing on doing the job ""fast"" they instead to the time to make sure they did the job ""right"". The final pressure testing of the system proved the quality of the workmanship. I would highly recommend John and his crew to any one needing residential plumbing work done on the smallest to largest jobs. Bill M.

We received johns number from a neighbor who has used them for years and highly rcommended him.

John showed up for the estimate. we discussed what we wanted and he said he would have the estimate ready that night or the next day. In the middle of the estimate some guys walks up from the street and indicates not to say anything as he surprises john, a miracle it was his pastor of his church who jogs by my house everyday. I thought that was funny seeing that I am outside from dawn to dusk everyday (my neighbors will testfy to that fact) and I have never seen this guy once. He acted kind of suprised when he turned around, and after he left one of my other contractors said that it looked and seemed really strange and to be set up. I had a similar feeling.

The next day came and went with no word from John on the prices, a couple days later I called and he apologized gave an excuse and said he would get it to me. A few days came and went wth no word from john. I called again and I left a voice mail for him, then I call again and this time it went straight to voice mail, I then sent a text saying ""so it seems you are not interested in doing my job. At least have the decency to acknowlege either way. This is not a very christian way to treat people.""
That was exactly 1:37 pm oct 24th. At 1:38pm exactly on the same day he responded with sorry again and another excuse. Then at 1:41 pm just a couple minutes later he askes some detail question. We did try a couple times to send a video but were unable to get it to him because of size, that was on oct 17th, oh and he never responded to that text request asking if he wants it on a flash drive.

We will never recommend him.

John is the nicest plumber I have even met. He was a referral from a neighbor and is an expert plumber. We had a significant clog caused by metal falling into our plumbing system from a rusty pipe. John maintained an extremely pleasant and teacher-like attitude while we discussed the clog. John was able to clear the clog and double checked with his scope. John ensured this problem would not happen again and we appreciated his superior customer service.

Update! My son and tried a DIY ""quick"" change of a shower head earlier and, of course something went wrong! Never fails!!

Called Hammond's Rooter as usual and John came out and saved the day!!

John has been our plumber for probably 20 years and I highly recommend him as he is knowledgeable, professional and ethical! I'd give him 10 stars if I could!! Bless you John and thanks man!!

After reading all the reviews I decided to give John a try. He was every bit as good as everyone says. He was very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and just a great guy. I'm glad to have found him and will be calling any time I need a plumber in the future.

The first time we used Hammond's was a good experience; the second, not so much. John was a no-show for the appointment at my house. He did not answer his phone or respond to the texts I sent asking if he was coming. If he couldn't make it, the least he should have done was to let me know.

That type of behavior is less than professional.
