I've used Hammer sprinkler for back flow test for many years now. They have always helped get the paper work filled out and the job done.

Worst experience I can remember
Abel the general manager is totally unprofessional and tried to get me to pay in cash.
Always late and I had to get another company to fix their mistakes
Stay away

We used this company many times in the past and found them willing to help us. Our recent experience was so different! They came with attitude...won't work with plastic valves, galvanized pipe and are sure you need to replace everything at great expense. They charged $125 for fixing one head and turning on the rest...missing two broken heads. I thought my husband would do better so he called them back and found the same attitude and unwillingness to solve a problem. I shouldn't even give them one star!

I had to recall Hammer Plumbing because the control box they installed was put in such a poor (too low) location that I needed to have it moved. Unfortunately, the installer left the box iin an unsafe electrical condition. He said to not touch the wires and it would be OK. I was uncomfortable with exposed wires and called an electrician to repair sthe installer's work. The electrician said it could have shorted out and cause a fire which would not have been covered by insurance because it wasn't installed to code. After $720 to the electrician and another $275 to Hammer for moving the control box, the job is done at the mere cost of $2000! Beware of Hammer Plumbing!!!!!

I have been using Hammers since 2000. I called Hammer this morning for my broken sprinklers. They sent two people over within 30 minutes. Salvador and Mark were very professional and well trained. It turned out that my gardener had been doing everything wrong and the mist the sprinklers created did horrible damage to the red wood siding which would cost me thousands of dollars to repair. They fixed the problems and gave me a very reasonable price. I have to admit that I was scared by all the bad reviews I saw on this website and I actually called another company which never returned my calls. Salvador and Mark have convinced me that I have made a good choice. I definitely recommend these two guys!

I needed the sprinkler system in my front yard repaired -- a couple of the plastic pipes replaced, and new sprinkler heads. In the back yard, only replacement of the sprinkler heads. These are not huge yards -- just an average for a residential street. I was given an estimate that I thought was high, though I know nothing about the cost of repairing sprinklers. When I said I'd like to get another estimate, they lowered the price and I accepted it. The ""foreman"" seemed very nice and I trusted him. After it was done -- $5,300 -- one of my sons (whom I didn't discuss it with prior to the work) was outraged, since so little was done for such an outrageous price. They were very thoughtless as they hacked off branches of my camellia bush with no regard for my property. It was a simple job, overpriced, and not carefully done. I am an 86 year old woman, and feel this job was a case of elder abuse.

I was charged $150 for an estimate for sprinkler repair (which I was not told in advance). When I called the next day and asked if there was a charge...I was told it was $95. I was clearly OVER charged for nothing. The estimate amount was not even put in writing. I was able to find another wonderful company (SprinklerTech) that did NOT charge for an estimate - and did the job for one fourth the price Hammer was going to charge. I do NOT recommend this company.
