and a variety of solutions. We manage every plumbing task, large or minor.
Hammer Plumbing and Pumping began by Doug Hammer. It started as sewer and septic services. Shortly thereafter, we broadened our services. As time passed, the company became exclusively a pumping service. Doug built the Hammer brand to stand for quality, affordable service and a friendly, honest company.
In 2005, Doug chose to retire. At that moment, he encountered Don and Steve, who would become partners. They quickly developed a good rapport, and Doug felt confident the Holmes brothers would be an excellent fit to lead the business. Since then, we have expanded our services to include comprehensive plumbing. We offer everything - pumping, sewer work, and complete plumbing services. We work to strengthen the Hammer brand as a trusted resource for our community in need of friendly, expert plumbing services. With hope, we plan to be here for many years and constantly work on bettering what we do.
Steve and Don have led Hammer since 2005.

Hired Hammer for a quite a few different jobs over the years. They employ some great people. Seriously, the technicians are awesome--always very skilled, reliable and professional. Rarely had any issues with the quality of their work, however I gotta say Hammer Plumbing's prices are a little steep.

I had a septic tank that had limited use as the house is a vacation home. I called a septic pumping company and they gave me a number of a rooter company and advised me to have them snake the line before paying the higher cost of pumping. The rooter stated that he didn't want to take the chance of getting his snake caught in the septic tank and refused to do any work. I am not sure why he came out if he didn't want to snake a house with a septic tank, because that is the only service he could perform and charged me $198. I in turn called the referring company who never returned my call.
As time was of the essence, my HOA recommended Hammer. I was reticent to hire them because of all the poor reviews. I did anyway after another neighbor's recommendation.
Based on the advice of the prior rooter company they dug up the access to the tank for $250 without attempting to check for a clog. They saw that the tank was not overflowing and was in working order and of course they pumped the tank anyway without asking for $395. Then they asked the renter to turn on the showers and flush the toilets, which caused an overflow onto the carpets, due to the clog that was the problem all along. They could not come till the next day to snake the line for $195, forcing me to pay for a hotel for my renter. The clogged shower/ toilet were fifteen feet from septic tank. Because of the overflow I had to pay for a hotel for the renters and drive five hours there and back to clean the bathrooms and shampoo the carpets.
It cost me approximately $1,600, a five hour drive, and five hours of cleaning, instead of the $195 it should of cost. I can't tell anyone one what to do. All I can do is tell my story. I need to count on companies being professional and expertise's in their trade. They were polite and reduced the rooter work from $295 to $195, based on the other companies cost, which I also ended up paying.

Poor customer service. Another reviewer said he heard them talking in homophobic terms behind his back. Well, I can certainly believe it. As a woman, the crew chief said, ""I can stick this pipe anywhere you want it, lady."" Then the crew stands around and snickers. I kid you not. This is the level of professionalism from this company. They also lied and said there was no way they could check the pressure coming into the house when the valve was fully accessible out front. I wouldn't hire them to dig a hole for an outhouse.

We had a clogged toilet and Hammer assessed it and noted we could try to fix it, but given the age of the toilet the risk was it wouldn't be able to be fixed. We bought a new toilet and they returned the next day and did a great install with the service fee for the install only slightly more than trying to fix the old toilet. The plumber was so professional and courteous and also installed a bidet to the toilet as part of the install. We highly recommend them!

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. AVOID THEM They are a bunch of liar and the work is horrendous. They sent out a technician to video a sewer pipe and the technician did not even know how to operate the camera. Then they said that they were giving me added service. What added service. Many reviewer have commented similar. Absolutely horrible. They have equiptment that they are uncapable of even operating. These guys are a liar and cheat.

Came out on time. Fixed leaky shower faucet and charged me $350 for a part that I found online for $12.95. I feel so cheated. Also the guy left a muddy mess on my floor and left al the mess in the shower for me to clean up. Then, they did not send me a receipt. I had to call the company a week later to get them to email me a receipt for the $350 I paid them to install a 13 dollar part.

I had Hammer Plumbing replace a valve and was there at the property for less than an hour to fix it. The charge was $465.00 which I think is very expensive for this job. I called the company and they said they charge a fix rate. I will not use this company again and notified my property management company not to use them. I feel I was ripped off!

My complex said my gas meter was not working properly, I said I had no complaints but they wanted the meter replaced so I arranged for them to have it replaced. Two months later and the guy that reads the meters said he smelled gas, I told him they better have that company come back then. Their guy cones out has a look and says yes, there is a leak and it's on my side of the pipes and I would have to pay to have it fixed, I asked how much? He say's $350.00, I said I'll look into it. The only people in that compartment are the meter reader and the plumbing company, funny how this was all fine until they replaced the meter. I called our manager the next day and told her what had happened and said no one has touched the compartment besides the meter reader and the plumbers. She called back and said Hammer was not accepting any responsibility for any damages. I asked who should I call and speak to, I don't know if Dan is the owner or manager but they haven't returned either of my calls. So now I need to take them to small claims, too bad companies these days would rather get sued than work out an equitable outcome.
Got another notice that my water would be shut off for 4-5 hours today as this company has work to do on another unit here and that they would be here between 8 and 10. I had other appointments this morning but as I was leaving at 10:30 they were just arriving, I hope they don't run over that time.

I called a plumber to fix my clogged kitchen sink. He snake it and couldn't unclog it. He suggested to hydro jet it which means it'll cost more money. I called another plumber and they referred me to Hammer Plumbing because they said that Hammer Plumbing has the right equipment to do the job.
Julio came and he was very polite and friendly guy. He also called me beforehand that he is on his way. Julio suggested that he will try to snake it again and he thinks that he can unclog it. That is one trait that you seldom find nowadays, a very honest, with integrity and knowledgeable technician! Thank you so much Julio! And indeed! Problem fixed! He also fixed a leaking pipe, changed my sink faucet with efficiency!
I just found a plumber here in the desert (just moved from LA), that we can trust and will be more than happy to recommend them to family and friends! If I can give you more than 5 stars I will do it in a heartbeat!

Once again, Hammer Plumbing comes through. The ultimate nightmare, you wake up and hear the sound of water coming from a wall. Then you notice that the floor in the bathroom is extremely hot. Hammer came out, identified that we had a slab leak. They were able to pinpoint it immediately. They cut off the water supply to the area - which immediately stopped the leak. Then the next day their crew came out. The ultimate fear - will they have to jackhammer the floor up (which we no longer have any more tile) - Nope - they were able to bypass the leak, make a few holes in the wall and fix the problem. The team was professional and clean. This entire issue was resolved in one day. Thank you Hammer Team - you are the best!
