and a variety of solutions. We handle all plumbing needs, big or small.
Hammer Plumbing and Pumping was founded by our founder Doug Hammer. At first, it specialized in sewer and septic services. Not long after, we added pumping services. As time passed, Hammer evolved a pumping specialist. Doug built our brand to be known for dependable and affordable service and a community-focused service.
During 2005, Doug chose to retire. At that moment, he encountered Don and Steve, who would become partners. They quickly developed a good rapport, and Doug was certain they were the right choice to lead the business. From that point forward, we have expanded our services to cover all plumbing needs. We offer a full range of services - pumping, sewer services, and plumbing solutions. We strive to uphold and grow the Hammer brand as a go-to provider for local residents seeking friendly, quality, affordable, and knowledgeable service. With hope, we intend to serve for a long time and are always improving our services.
Steve and his brother Don have led Hammer since 2005.

My complex said my gas meter was not working properly, I said I had no complaints but they wanted the meter replaced so I arranged for them to have it replaced. Two months later and the guy that reads the meters said he smelled gas, I told him they better have that company come back then. Their guy cones out has a look and says yes, there is a leak and it's on my side of the pipes and I would have to pay to have it fixed, I asked how much? He say's $350.00, I said I'll look into it. The only people in that compartment are the meter reader and the plumbing company, funny how this was all fine until they replaced the meter. I called our manager the next day and told her what had happened and said no one has touched the compartment besides the meter reader and the plumbers. She called back and said Hammer was not accepting any responsibility for any damages. I asked who should I call and speak to, I don't know if Dan is the owner or manager but they haven't returned either of my calls. So now I need to take them to small claims, too bad companies these days would rather get sued than work out an equitable outcome.
Got another notice that my water would be shut off for 4-5 hours today as this company has work to do on another unit here and that they would be here between 8 and 10. I had other appointments this morning but as I was leaving at 10:30 they were just arriving, I hope they don't run over that time.

I called a plumber to fix my clogged kitchen sink. He snake it and couldn't unclog it. He suggested to hydro jet it which means it'll cost more money. I called another plumber and they referred me to Hammer Plumbing because they said that Hammer Plumbing has the right equipment to do the job.
Julio came and he was very polite and friendly guy. He also called me beforehand that he is on his way. Julio suggested that he will try to snake it again and he thinks that he can unclog it. That is one trait that you seldom find nowadays, a very honest, with integrity and knowledgeable technician! Thank you so much Julio! And indeed! Problem fixed! He also fixed a leaking pipe, changed my sink faucet with efficiency!
I just found a plumber here in the desert (just moved from LA), that we can trust and will be more than happy to recommend them to family and friends! If I can give you more than 5 stars I will do it in a heartbeat!

Once again, Hammer Plumbing comes through. The ultimate nightmare, you wake up and hear the sound of water coming from a wall. Then you notice that the floor in the bathroom is extremely hot. Hammer came out, identified that we had a slab leak. They were able to pinpoint it immediately. They cut off the water supply to the area - which immediately stopped the leak. Then the next day their crew came out. The ultimate fear - will they have to jackhammer the floor up (which we no longer have any more tile) - Nope - they were able to bypass the leak, make a few holes in the wall and fix the problem. The team was professional and clean. This entire issue was resolved in one day. Thank you Hammer Team - you are the best!

If I can give no stars I would. Their customer service is awful. When circumstances for the tech changed, no one bother to call and inform me until I called the tech and the company. If you are ever in a bind, look elsewhere for a company that communicates with its customers. Called another company and they will be here first thing in the morning.

Our water pressure dropped really low for only the hot water. Hammer was great and got out to us pretty quick. The tech was amazing and very helpful. The recommendation was odd; the hot water heater needed to be replaced. They said the water pressure for hot water was because the heater just wasn't running water to be had when the faucet or spout would be turned on. Odd the hot water heater would control pressure, but okay.
After was in there was still water pressure loss, but not as bad. So to fix it, they went through and flushed the lines and made sure debris from the old hot water was not clogging the lines, faucets or spouts, as part of the fee. It seems to have helped. And we seem to be back in working order.

Visited for estimate on icemaker waterline replacement. Never responded as promised with estimate. It was a ""green"" 20 something rep.

My toilets were stopped but started working again before the plumber arrived. When the plumber came he inspected both toilets as I knew there was a problem. He told me both toilets were connected (manufactured home) and the one closest to the sewer was probably the issue. He removed the toilet (Jermey) and snaked it. He was fast and efficient and knew what he was dling doing. Everything was clean and looked like new. I will use Hammer Plumbers, Cathedral City as my ""go-to"" plumber for the future.

Julio is the best. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable.
I'm a real estate attorney, and I'm super skeptical of companies. But with Hammer Plumbing, I could not have had a better experience. We got same day service for a crisis situation. The professionalism and responsiveness far exceeded my expectations.
In short, three bathrooms were plugged up, including three showers and the kitchen sink. Julio quickly diagnosed the problem. He also called before he came to let us know he was on his way.
I don't know what they are paying Julio, but whatever it is, it's not enough. Give this guy a raise because you are lucky to have him as an employee.

Ryan came out and fixed our leaking supply line to our hot water heater, vacuumed out the standing water and made sure everything was secure and operational. The price was very reasonable the the service and attitude A+. I would recommend them for all your plumbing needs.
Thank you Hammer Plumbing!

Called them on a weekday early afternoon to schedule an appointment for them to come out on Saturday morning to clean out a clogged sewer line. Everything was confirmed and was told they'd give me a 30 minute notification of their arrival. At 4:30 pm I received a call from their office stating that they could come within the hour which would've been great but I'd already left the area. I was transferred to a manager there who again reiterated that he could have someone out later today and again I informed him that tomorrow would be fine as scheduled. At that point he changed our Saturday morning appointment to ""sometime tomorrow afternoon."" I protested but evidently their office staff doesn't communicate well. After some rather frustrating back and forth BS with this ""manager"" I informed them that if they couldn't continue with our morning scheduled appointment then I'd find another vendor. Well, the ""manager"" hung up on me! I guess I'll find another vendor with some customer appreciation skills.
