This was the first (and last) time we hired Bob Hamilton Plumbing. We needed a bathroom sink drain pipe fixed and 2 bathroom faucets replaced. The next morning we checked under both sinks and both sinks had leaks in the water supply lines and the drips from the drain pipes. They sent the same ""plumber"" out and he worked on both sinks again and said ""We were good to go"". We checked after he left and both sinks still had leaks and drips under them. One of the drain pipes was leaking worse than when the guy had come back out! After calling them again for the 3rd time, they sent out one of their ""Master"" plumbers. He as able to fix all the leaks and drips. If they would have sent this guy out first I wouldn't be writing this review. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND BOB HAMILTON PLUMBING TO ANYONE. I expect things to get done right the first time. Their incompetence wasted my time. It's obvious that these guys don't care if things get fixed correctly or not. Like my wife said, their motto should be ""NEVER CALL BOB!"". I really wanted to give them zero stars but had to give at least one star to submit my review.

Caution to people looking to hire Bob Hamilton Plumbing. We have our house up for sale and we got the $99 special main line opening. First, the guy forgot the camera the first time he came out, not a big deal. We rescheduled for today. When I called back to schedule the camera they told me they would not allow me to see any information about my house because I was selling it?? I asked why and they said because it's not information for you but rather for the new buyers. It's still my house! Nonetheless they didn't even show up today when they said they would. I would steer away from a company that thinks they have business in my house I'm trying to sell.

We could not be more disappointed with the customer service we are receiving as we work with Bob Hamilton. (I use the term ""work with"" loosely, as it is myself and our home warranty company calling them almost daily, without the curtesy of a return phone call.) If we had to do it all over again, we would give our business to a different company in a heartbeat.
When our AC went out, Bob Hamilton was able to come out quickly to diagnose our problem. We have a home warranty, but the company that the warranty folks were going to send wasn't available for several days, so they agreed to work with an ""out of network"" service provider. When we talked to the people at Bob Hamilton, they assured us they were used to working with home warranty companies and it wasn't a big deal to pass along any info the warranty company would need.
Well...that was a week and a half ago. We ended up spending nearly $13,000 to replace our HVAC, and our warranty company is willing to pay for part of that. However, they need some additional info from Bob Hamilton, and no one from the company will return their calls! I'm told this will likely be a 5 minute or less conversation. I've called multiple times to ask them to get in touch with the warranty company, the home warranty company has called multiple times...NOTHING. I've had conversations with the women who answer their phones on almost a daily basis. I'm repeatedly told that my messages have been relayed. I've been transferred to various voicemail boxes and have left messages. I've wasted a ridiculous amount of time sitting on hold. Both yesterday and today when I called, I was told my message was relayed to the general manager (he'd conveniently left for the day both yesterday and today when I called mid-afternoon). We're at our wits' end. I'm beginning to worry we'll never be able to get reimbursed by our warranty company simply because Bob Hamilton can't be bothered to make a short phone call on our behalf. My husband is actually considering taking time off work tomorrow to go there to hopefully talk to someone in person.
I share all this because maybe it will save others the headache of working with such an unprofessional and unreliable company. They seemed great at first, but once they had our money - and not a small amount of money - they had ZERO customer service. So disappointed that we chose to work with them. Going forward, I will be steering friends and family as far away as possible from Bob Hamilton.

I hate to do this because Alex was so nice but it has been eating away at me. We were charged $892 for a garbage disposal replacement. He looked into the pipes and saw they were compacted, then augured them out in the kitchen. He this discovered the garbage disposal was bad. He went to his ""warehouse"" to get another one to install. The bill was $892 and that was after some discounts. It was going to be $1098.88! Bob's commercial looks and sounds like a nice guy. I will not fall for a fake commercial again. It's been keeping me awake to think that I spent $892 for a garbage disposal.

Bob Hamilton answered my call and sent a repairman (Steffon) out just hours later.
It ended up being the blower motor, and Steffon said IF he could find a replacement motor, we were looking at an $800.00 charge for him to come back to install the motor. Steffon suggested we check into a new unit since this one is so old, a new unit would be $6000 +, depending on the size. I paid Steffon $79.00 for the service call.
After my husband got home, he removed the bad motor and the next day took it to Klemp Electric to ask their advice for a replacement.
The serviceman at Klemp said there one universal motor sold, and the repairman for BH should have known about the universal replacement.
My husband purchased the motor for $103.73 and a switch for $13.60, so, for $117.33 plus tax, and a couple of hours work, our air is back working.
BH is in business to make money, and I understand this, IMO, $800.00 is gouging.

My daughter called Bob Hamilton plumbing for an estimate. they came out and looked at her ceiling said it was full of water and when she showed them where the water shut off was they said that it wasn't it and they would come back the next day after she found it. so they came back the next day and still said that it was not the shut off but where able to work on her leak anyway. they quoted her 425$ and hour so I called the main office and asked if this was correct. They said no so we had them do the work. when the tech did the bill they charged us 425$ hr for the work and charged us for 3hrs of work that only took 2 hours also charged us for the call out the day before when it was supposed to be a free estimate all they did that day was look at the ceiling and the water shut off charged 400 $ for that. My husband called and talked with the manager while the tech was there and the manager said that that was not the right pricing that they don't charge by the hour. the tech heard this but still would not change the bill he said the manager didn't know what he was working on so we had to paid the bill. They charged us 1300.00 for two hours of work with no parts. I will never call this company to work on anything for me again and will tell everyone I know to never use this company. I called the next and filed a complaint and they had a customer service person call but they called my daughter instead of me. I called back early this morning and 2 1/2 hours later I still have not received a call back. Never Never again will I use this company!!!!

I purchased a home with a Lennox HVAC recently installed by Bob Hamilton plumbing, according to the previous owner. Based on how poorly they installed this system, I will not let them work on my house. Improperly installed ductwork and humidifier.

Big let down. Made a Saturday morning appointment to get plumbing on our new sink addressed... ""you're the first house"". Nope! Never showed, so I called at 12:30pm and now the first available appointment is Tuesday. WE CANT USE OUR SINK!!! You know how you can make me smile today Bob!?!? Be honest with your customers. Call them when things change. We will never do business with Bob Hamilton Plumbing after this.

Zero stars. My elderly parents, 90+, called for a small drain issue. The tech who came out told them it would cost $259 which in and of itself is ridiculous. Then to show what a crock that is he said he would ""call in"" and negotiate to see if possibly it could be a different price. Call this preying on the elderly 100%. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to be there at the time of the service call. First and foremost a business should have fair prices set, period. No way would I ever recommend this company and for sure everyone in our entire extended family will be certain to tell the tale of this mornings adventure. Shady for sure. (I tried to give zero stars but it wouldn't allow that. Too bad.) After further review.....I see they have unacceptable business practices across the board. The bad reviews should be front and center so people can see just how far reaching this goes.

Extremely dissatisfied!! As I was out of town (oversees) and attempting to conduct business over the phone, I felt I was severely taken advantage of. The technician said he charged $430/hour to diagnose, after 30 minutes and a $215 charge, he stated that he thought it was the controller but since it was a Honeywell control, he did not know where to find parts. Because it is a six unit apartment, and because tenants had gone without hot water for a day already during early March, when we had cold weather, and because I was out of town, I think I was taken undo advantage of. In the end, when he had ""sold me"" on the notion that it would be difficult to find parts, for a 22 month old water heater, that was still under warranty, and then when he brought me a brand new water heater, it had a Honeywell control on it, it did not feel like I had received very good service. I know some of these people they send out are just learning the trade, but it you intend to charge that kind of price, you should be able to provide excellent service. I think I could have gone out and found a Honeywell control to fit my old heater had I been here. At the very least, I could have gone out to Home Depot and swapped out a similar water heater for way less than the $2,759.53 charged for a new heater. I don't think he was interested in that and understood that my being out of town placed me in a vulnerable situation. I think he factored all my vulnerabilities together to overcharge. Perhaps $2,700 is what they normally charge for a 50 gallon water heater, but I have installed approximately a dozen water heaters over the years, all less than half of what Hamilton charged me. I took a chance on them, being out of town and wanting a plumber that could handle any emergency. Turns out they could not fix it, they had to replace the heater. The diagnostic fee should not have been charged because all he diagnosed was that I needed a new water heater to replace my unit that was 22 months old. In addition, he charged me for a $48 disposal fee when I asked him to, and he did, leave the old unit behind, because it is basically brand new. There was nothing for him to dispose. While I appreciate the 10% refund, I was provided, that will in no way ever earn my business back again.
When I asked the call in number assistant if their prices are the highest in town, she said, they are near the top because they are a large company with substantial overhead and a lot of advertising.
Unless you want to pay 2 to 3 times what other quality plumbers will charge, I suggest you never give them a call, as you are paying for all those billboards and TV commercials.
