Half Price Plumber is exactly what I was looking for after being gouged by a couple other companies. The others send a worker to your house and he's expected to generate more revenue by suggesting other plumbing 'needs'. Dave at Half Price doesn't try to up-sell you and he's honest about his rates. Since he's a one-man band with little overhead, his prices don't reflect advertising, employee benefits, and office costs....yet his plumbing knowledge is every bit as good. Pay double or triple for the same service if you want....I prefer paying a more reasonable rate so Half Price Plumber gets my business.

Dave re-installed kitchen water supply, garbage disposal and drain traps after a sink and counter top replacement. His workmanship was first class. Plus, he hooked up the gas to the cook top. He should have charged more. He's like a friend who's a good plumber.

During the call we discussed materials, price and schedule. I agreed to have him perform the work.
He, David, arrived a few minutes early, well prepared, professional, courteous and caring. The job was completed quickly and accurately.

Horribly unprofessional and not prepared.

I am giving a 1 star rating in order to post this, as there is no negative rating.

I needed a water heater replaced, and the guy came with one. The guy has a pick up truck, no hand truck, or helper to actually install the unit.

The guy tells me (a female - saying that I ""look"" strong) he needs me to lift the unit to the platform about 18 inches off the ground so he can arrange the pan. I then politely ask why he doesn't have a helper if that's what he needs to install the unit.

The guy proceeds to have a tantrum and storm off because I would not and cannot lift a 150+ pound unit.

I do not ask a customers/clients to basically do my job when I go to work.

This is absurd behavior, save yourself the grief and hire a reputable plumber.

Does not even deserve one star... he is a flake he has done several jobs for me and it cost me more to fix what he did because he can't come back for a week to fix a toilet even though he replace all the parts 3 weeks prior and they fell apart... his estimates are always much more... DONE... he should call himself he half assed plummer.

Needed a re-circulation pump installed which I ordered online after being price gouged on another job by a ""big"" LV plumber. He showed up on time and did the job...no muss or fuss. In and out in 20 minutes. Price was as quoted...and the new piece is working great. Piece of advice if you want to save a ton of money...find out the part you need, order online yourself and hire David to do the work. My total cost including Half Price Plumber was $335 versus $994 quoted by the ""big"" firm. I am sure if you don't know what part to order you will still be way ahead hiring David either way. Another plus is he is a nice guy not out to rip you off.

This company was awesome. Guy came out and fixed my bathroom shut off valve so i could finish my sink installation. Was done in 45 mins and great price

This guy sucks. Needed a cartrige changed. He couldnt disassemble the faucet so doubled his pricw trying to cut out the problem instead of fixing it. Ended up fixing the problem myself. Wanted to chargw me more money to come back and fix my spout, which he cut off and ruined. What a jerk. Avoid at all cost
