Soon after I posted the review we were contacted and the defective part for our fireplace conversion was replaced. After making sure it was working, they came back and sprayed the firebox black. This made for a more professional appearance than we were first left with. But over five months for this simple project was way too long.

To all customers, I would not recommend Hailey's handyman services. I lived in my house for approximately 25 years and had many lights installed inside and outside my house and the highest amount was $500. Hailey attempted to charge me $1575 to install an outside motion light. When his employee noticed that I was not willing to pay that amount I was offered 10% of the $1575. In the end, the employee charged me $1500. Unknown to Mr. Hailey, a month ago Trout Electric installed an outside motion light ($310) 15 feet away from the intended place where I wanted Hailey to install a new motion light. I would stay away from any handyman services. These handyman services picked up where Lowes and Home Depot contact independent alleged contractors. Again, stay away from handyman services. Representative responded to the location for a quote. We accepted the price, signed the invoice/contract, and for the down payment he followed us to our home nearby because he said a written check was best. He came into our home and shortly after said an error was made on the qoute and it would now be double the price. We declined that price and they refused to honor the original price we were quoted. If an error is supposedly made by a representative, the customer should never suffer the consequences. We had accepted the deal, signed the invoice/contract, and paid money only to have the price doubled after coming into our home? In the interest of customer service, the company should honor the signed contract and discipline the person who made the error. We are very, very disappointed.

The construction crew was punctual, and the work was completed on schedule, which was impressive considering the complexity of the renovation. The quality of materials used was top-notch, and the craftsmanship was exceptional attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the job, from the framing to the finishing touches.
