Beware of this company! They are a completely dishonest , unreliable, expensive, undependable group. Perhaps they built a great reputation from the grandfather who started this business but the people running this company are not to be trusted. Three years ago, they installed a brand new water heater for me. After a few months the thing started cracking and popping with every use. I called to ask for help and they just told me to drain it myself. Okay, I got a friend to help me drain it, and it still made noise. Now, three years into the water heater, the pilot goes out, so I call again for help, and they tell me it will be $100 just to come out and diagnose the problem but they could not be here for 3 days (that's 3 days without water on a water heater I paid for them to install). I called RK Knight and they were out in 20 minutes. My daughter needed to have her sewer line replaced, so I called the city and they told me I would have to use one of their authorized plumbers---one was Haendiges---so I called them. It took 5 days for the relining process to be done and still the city refused to help with the payment, after they told me that if I used Haendiges, it would be subsidized. (another rip-off), I strongly urge you to avoid ANY work done by this company. You will not be happy!!!

Dan and the guys at Haendiges rule. We had a water heater issue that another plumber couldn't diagnose, and they had it diagnosed and fixed in 10 minutes. Reall love these guys. I'll go to them for all my plumbing issues!

I called Haendiges Plumbing when I wanted to replace a water heater. I spoke to a man in their office and asked for a price. Here is where they differed from the 3 other plumbing companies I had called.
One of the other companies said they could not give me a price without seeing the water heater. The other 2 companies gave me prices (1 higher and 1 lower), but they never asked any questions. Haendiges asked the situation, where the water heater was, how old it was, what kind of access they would have. It turns out they would have to move my washer and dryer out of the way in order to remove the old water heater and install the new. I mentioned that I wanted to replace the valves for the washing machine also, so they told me that if I did them at the same time, there would be no extra charge for moving the washing machine to replace the water heater.
This made the most sense to me, coupled with the fact that they asked questions to see what the price should be. It seemed like they tried the hardest to give me an accurate price.
I had them come out and do the work, and they did a great job. While he was out, I asked the plumber if he could give me a price on some other work I wanted done. Once he knew what the work was, he said he could get the information and take it back to the office. The office would contact me the next day with a price (it was a lot of work).
They contacted me the next day with a price to replace 3 faucets, fix 2 showers that dripped, and rebuild the internal parts on a toilet. The price seemed very reasonable to me and, once again, they talked to me to make sure they had all the information and to offer some alternatives.
I had Haendiges do the work and they will be my first call if I ever need more plumbing work. I have recommended them to many people, all of whom have been very pleased.

My original post was a negative review based on the service I received. I received a call from the owner (Billy) due to my feedback on Yelp and wanted to make a mends for their performance the first time. He offered me a gift certificate and a discount on future services. Coincidentally, I had a leaking shower, so I gave them a shot at winning my trust. True to form they arrived on-time and make 2 quick repairs for me. The thing is I didn't get my free gift card, huh, guess I should of asked for it huh? LOL! Overall, I was certainly more pleased with the service. I would used them again and suggest other do to, after-all they been in business several decades, so they are good at what they do.
