I needed a new garbage disposal, and after reading Consumer Reports, I purchased a better one than the one I had on Amazon. I called around to get quotes on installing it, looking for a reasonably priced plumber who could do the job for a disabled veteran. If you rely on Angie's list searches, Hack's does not show up as a possibility, but I did more research and found Hack's Plumbing online. I called them and just by chance, they were able to send a plumber to my house that SAME afternoon because he was already working in my area (Carlsbad).

When the plumber arrived and unpacked my new, boxed garbage disposal, he quickly saw that the pipes under my sink went horizontally to my garbage disposal, and the new disposal I bought needed a vertical connection. That same afternoon, the plumber went to the parts store, bought the new pipe connections, and did the replacement job that same day! He tested the flow of water that would drain from my dishwasher and it was draining fine. He also took my old broken garbage disposal with him.

A few days later, I tried to start my dishwasher to run a load and it stopped after only a minute. I wondered if the draining was wrong, and Hack's plumbing (the same friendly guy) came out no charge to double check the job was done correctly. It was. The problem was that when the plumber was testing how my dishwasher drained into the garbage disposal, he pushed several buttons on my dishwasher and had accidentally pushed the ""Delay Start"" button. I hadn't noticed that that was on, and once I canceled ""Delay Start,"" my dishwasher worked perfectly and drained through my new garbage disposal.

So I'm giving Hack's Plumbing a 5 * Yelp review because of the fast service, the skilled plumber going above and beyond what the original job should have entailed, and him coming back to make sure the job was done right. And the price, discounted for a disabled veteran, was excellent in comparison to other quotes I got. If I need further plumbing or drain service, I will call Hack's again.

I was given Hack's number by my HOA as I own a townhouse. I needed the angle stops replaced, 10 of them. They sent Sean and amazingly, he got all 10 done in short order. Not only was he fast and efficient but also a very clean worker, which sometimes is difficult to find. He was considerate and a very nice guy. I would not hesitate to call them for my plumbing needs in the future but also to recommend them to anyone who asks. Thank you. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the service. Cesar came out and helped me right away. He found a clean out that the technicians from another company didn't, which made it much easier and more cost effective to fix my plumbing issue (roots in my main sewer line) via hydrojetting. He also recommended, for next time, a different long term fix for my issue that didn't cost me $10,000 like the other company had borderline demanded I do. I'm definitely going to be calling Hacks again and will be requesting to get Cesar as the technician. Thank you for saving me time and money while doing a great job!

I cannot say enough good things about Hack's and about our technician, Raphael. We had a clogged pipe that multiple other plumbers could not resolve. The clog was located and resolving the clog involved jackhammering into our beautiful wood floors in our dining room. We received several quotes, and Hack's gave us the lowest price and most conservative/least invasive option. They were very professional. They scheduled the work quickly and had it done in a day. They also listened to and addressed all of our concerns. For example, I was concerned about dust (family members with asthma), and they put up plastic and did excellent dust and debris containment. They took the extra time to minimize damage to our floors, and the quality of their work was top notch. They were also super efficient and finished within one day. I highly recommend Hack's and will use them for all future plumping needs. Thank you so much, Hack's and Raphael, for doing such high quality work at a great price!

Never a good day when you have water leaking from your Kitchen ceiling. I called Hacks Plumbing with my emergency, and they arrived within an hour. Cesar was professional and knowledgeable. Fixed the faulty pipes in the tub above that was leaking. And the cost in my opinion was very very reasonable. I will absolutely use Hacks Plumbing again!!
