I have American Home Shield and Habit was selected as the plumber for my area. The plumber (Chris) was very professional. Was on time and fixed my plumbing issue in about 30 minutes. He explained what happen. Very happy with service and would use again.

Had 2 different plumbing issues, he gave correct diagnosis for both and fixed them both. Professional and clean work. Courteous and good service.

Like the rating says, as good as it gets. Had a clogged outlet from water heater. They diagnosed it and fixed it quickly. Courteous service person as well. Will be coming back for sure.

I was assigned Habit Plumbing from First American. I had a toilet that would consistently back up. The first technician came to my house and could not source the problem. Ultimately, it was determined that the toilet itself needed replacing. After getting this approved, I was assigned Gonzolo G. to come to the house and install the new toilet. Since my house was built in 1981, the install became much more complicated than assumed, including replacing the flange. Gonzolo stuck with it, made two trips to get the right part, and made sure that everything was installed and working perfectly. He was awesome and respectable (I work out of my home and he was always polite when he needed to speak with me). I am super impressed with him. Thank you Gonzolo!

Professional, Personable and Reasonably-priced. This is the second time that Chris has done work for us, and both times he was very professional and did great work. I'll definitely use them again, but First American . . . another story . . .

If I could, I would have given a negative score.
I have never had such a bad experience with a plumbing company in my life. I was unfortunately told to work with this company from First American Home Warranty when my water heater quit working on me.
At first, they seemed nice and professional, and they came out to my property right away. However, my feelings towards the company quickly changed after the technician showed me the estimate for ""pipe modifications"". I was getting the water heater replaced for free, but I had over $300 in charges for pipe modifications.
When I questioned the technician about these charges, he started stumbling over his words and could not give me a real answer. I found this to be confusing, as I know pipes do not cost that much money... And the pipes I already have are in good, working order. So I decided to call a plumber friend to get his honest opinion. He told me that pipe modifications are an incidental part of replacing the water heater and that the pricing given by Habit Plumbing was ridiculous. It does NOT cost that much and he told me to be weary...
When I tried talking to a manager at Habit Plumbing about the invoice and the pricey pipe modifications, he pretty much told me that he didn't have time for this conversation and that I should just go elsewhere or cash out with the warranty company. So that is exactly what I did! He had such an attitude with me that there is NO WAY I was going to give him my business.
My advice to anyone reading this-- STAY FAR AWAY!!! These people know nothing about customer service and will take advantage.

Like the individual who posted below, I too was assigned Habit Plumbing through First American Home Warranty. I had a broken shower drain leaking through my bottom floor ceiling. Habit's remedy was to glue the drain, as opposed to fix/replace it. This would have been temporary fix at best. The plumber, Myron, didn't even go upstairs to see the pipe had broken away from the drain. Even after calling the home warranty and getting authorization (a task that should have been performed by Habit) and pleading with Habit to replace the drain as opposed to gluing it, for which they could bill more, they refused to complete the job adequately. Their excuses was that they only get paid for repairs and not replacements. I had to go with another plumber and pay out of pocket as this was the second sub-par plumber First American sent out. I used Courtesy Plumbing in San Diego and they did an excellent job and replaced the drain with a new brass unit. Be weary of Habit and First American.

We were assigned to work with this company because of our home warranty but if I'd had a choice, I would have said, ""No thanks. I'd rather pay full price to have the work done right."" Everything that's been said about them suggesting up charges to get more money out of the customer is true. My water heater broke and the earliest appointment we could get from them was 2 days later. When the plumber arrived he said he needed to actually see the tank leak. Well, the only way that would have been possible is if he'd been able to show up 2 days ago! 2 more days passed and then he came to install the replacement. The added items that they charged us for were both installed incorrectly. He put an overflow valve directly in front of a cabinet (so now we can't open the cabinet door) and he installed the water shut off valve right against the water heater so it has no room to actually turn - which makes it useless. Good thing I paid the additional $300 out of pocket to have those extras! Oh, and did I mention that as soon as he left the whole thing started leaking and is once again flooding my garage? We called the after hours number but who knows when we'll hear back. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

I needed a professional Plummer who could be trusted alone at my residence while I was at work.. He arrived and on time, contacted me via phone to receive instructions. He diagnose the problem, then notified me of the findings. Job well done... If anyone is in the need for (5) star service don't hesitate to contact them.
Thanks

We would highly recommend Habit Plumbing, more specifically, Mike. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable and worked with efficiency. Mike made a bad leaky situation into such a pleasurable experience! Along with his competency, he was also very courteous and kind. Thank you Mike, you are certainly a great attribute to your company!
