Reading the reviews here made me really nervous for my service with H&R Plumbing, but luckily I had a good one.

I placed a call through our home warranty service, American Home Warranty, so I didn't have an option as to which plumber came out, so I knew I was stuck no matter what and just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best.

My appointment was for 9-1pm but they called me at 8 am that morning to shorten the window to 9-11am and the technician, Juan Carlos called about 40 minutes after to let me know he was on his way.

I didn't have any problems with the woman who answered the phones. She was very polite.

Juan Carlos arrived around 9:20 am and was very polite. He came in and of course, my toilet that has been clogged for 4 straight days flushed perfectly for him...seriously, wth toilet??! But he tried loading it with toilet paper to see if he could do it again...it wouldn't, but not his fault.

He was very nice and talked to me about toilets getting older and the advancements in today's toilets, etc, and just that it might be time to get new ones if it continues to clog easily (they are 17 years old).

So, I can't give 5 stars because I didn't really have a major issue, so I don't know how it would have been handled but as for customer service and dependability, I was pleased.

The woman who answered the phone has to be the most incompetent admin I've ever had to deal with. Aside from being put on hold for long periods of time; she had to request to return my call in order to book my appt (thru Home Insurance)... she never called back. I had to call her again and she again, placed me on hold for a long time.

This is my first time using H & R, and let me tell you... dealing with this woman, who is the company's first point of contact, has already ruined the experience for me.

Worst possible Service. Victor, the person from H R Plumbing was sent to our house for fixing hot water issue. From the time he came, he was in a rush to leave. We asked him for an estimate for some other work and his price was very high. When we told him that we are not interested in his estimates, he was upset and just left without making sure that issue was fixed. We called up H R Plumbing and told them that issue was not fixed and Victor provided very bad service, to our surprise they just told us that we will get the same person back to service the issue and they cannot do anything about the complaint. After two days of no hot water, we are frustrated with H R Plumbing and the way they handled our complaint. Our suggestion, avoid this company if you want quality service.

Called H&R plumbing to get my sewer line cleaned up this morning because it was clogged.
I got lucky as Eli (H&R plumber) was able to come to my house within an hour and take care of the issue.
As he was packing up, I mentioned that there was a smell of gas coming from my water heater, so he took a look and found a significant leak. For a little extra (in addition to the sewer cleanup), Eli replaced the faulty part and made my house a whole lot safer.
He gave me a 30 day warranty on the repairs (the other plumbers I have used in the past didn't do that).

Eli was very professional, courteous and friendly. He explained to me how the water heater worked and gave me some tips along the way.

A great experience overall.

H&R came to our house because of our home warranty service. We had a broken wax seal on our toilet with 6 guests for the weekend (1 toilet!) and it was pouring water on the floor. We called Friday morning as soon as they opened (8am)

They originally offered 11-1pm as an appt time but we couldn't do it because we had plans to go to Pt. Reyes with our guests. They called back and said they could do 9-11am -- which was perfect!

Eli came and while quiet, was very professional and fast. He arrived at 9:30 fixed the toilet, replaced the ballcock (not as funny as it sounds) and fixed a leaky faucet. He was out the door by 10:45 -- in time for us to make it to our lunch reservation in time!

Everything's fixed and I would totally recommend them to anyone.

Horrible! Don't use these guys and if it is part of your home warranty, ask the warranty company to send someone else. They send a less than enthusiatic guy to tell me everything was ok. I asked him did you try running the water? So I ran the water with him there and the issue started up again. Total idiot. Then he says the fix is not part of the warranty. Honestly, this is the first review I have ever written, so please know it is sincere. This company sucks!

HORRIBLE, LIARS, DEMANDING, THREATEN, NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!! My friend who is a Realtor received several harassing phones calls from this company demanding $4K payment for an invoice that my friend had no knowledge of work preformed on her now closed listing. Apparently, a potential buyer's Realtor hired them for inspection after the offer was accepted. Unfortunate this contract never materialized. Since H & R Plumbing never collected their payment, they have decided to go after anyone associated with work performed for this house. Being liars, demanding, accusing and threatening (lawyer will call you) someone or anyone to pay is their way of doing business. My friend asked if she authorized the work and they said, ""Yes."" I like to see how this lying company will show proof of this. Hey, by the way, is this trespassing as the owner never said work can be done? My friend can't wait to file more complaints about this company. I am confident H & R Plumbing will not get any more businesses. Look at all these negative reviews. True rating should be NO STARS!!!

DO NOT USE THEM!!! My bathroom faucet was dripping water therefore needed to replace a new faucet. These guys wanted to put in these cheap clear plastic knob faucets which cost $30 - $40. After awhile these knobs would get dirty inside of them. Since I was under the Fidelity National Home Warranty Company (that's the only reason I end up with them), I opt to get a credit of $250 instead and got the faucet changed in another way. I was able to get a really nice elegant two way spread faucet for $110 on sale from Home Depot and hired another plumber to install it for $125. Thank goodness I did or else I would have gotten these cheap faucets. Since then, I left the warranty company as I realized that they are not in your best interest to hire the best Contractors available.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THEM! They are only in business because of American Home Shield. The receptionist DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING. Everyone who has AHS should complain about H&R Plumbing!
