They refused to work on my furnace and all they wanted to is sell me a new one said they couldn't find the part needed I found it on ebay in 5 minutes
I had a toilet running problem, called all over the place and was quoted ridiculous solutions, including breaking the walls and replacing the pipes. My worst nightmare.
But H Jack's plumber came this morning and readjusted the valve inside the toilet tank. This took care of my problem in an instant, my toilet is not running anymore and I am just as happy. The plumber was super patient and understanding of my anxiety over this issue. I highly recommend hiring H Jack's for all your plumbing needs. They are the best!
My landlord called this company at 7am while my furnace was not working at all and they came and left without saying a word to me. They told my landlord they couldn't fix the problem because the furnace was too old for them to know anything about.
Awful experience with this company. First of all do not change a emergency fee if you do not fix the problem until day 3. If you send out new guys make sure they have an idea of why they are coming to the house, and have them introduce themselves. Not happy with this experience and would not recommend them to my enemy.
Do not call Jack's plumbing. Had no heat in house January 22 2022. Called them and they said they would be out. They did come out in timely fashion on Saturday. But, they charged me this amount straight from their invoice. Heating Diagnostic Fee No Heat - $165.00
Remove & Replace H.S.I., Common Style - $317.00
Total $482.00.
$ 482.00 to replace a $35.00 igniter. The guy was there approximately 45 minutes. He took the old igniter which I wanted. I have asked them to supply me the part number and brand name of the igniter they put in. Probably not going to happen. I want to order one as standby in case this happens again. They are easy to replace. The tech was nice and he was charging what they told him to charge.
Ann C.Do not call Jack's plumbing for any kind of service! They came out on a Sunday for a broken gas valve on our hot water heater, were supposed to fix Monday morning, ordered the wrong part and as of Tuesday afternoon still waiting for repair. The part is under warranty and they are charging $617 for repair! TERRIBLE
Charlie B.Complete idiots! calked on Friday, schedule a service calm for Monday. No heat in house all weekend with two small kids. Call on Monday and they have no record of the service call and the receptionist was rude.. terrible service
Joe M.What a bunch of predatory assholes. They hide behind the guise of ""expertise"" when they're really just trying to scare you into replacing everything.
I had a flammable vapor sensor go off on my hot water heater; I assumed it was because I was staining wood in my basement (bad idea in hindsight).
The guy completely disregards the fact that the sensor is all that needs to be replaced, and instead pulls out the burner assembly, saying the guy who installed it bent and mangled it and it was unusable. At $800 a burner assembly, I'm sure he would have liked to replace it. Says it's not safe to reinstall it and refuses to replace the sensor. Best part, he says there should be CO2 leaks, carbon dioxide... the idiot doesn't even know the difference between carbon monoxide and dioxide!
But wait, it gets better. Because somehow the burner assembly is on back order for 3 weeks, he tells me I'm best off replacing my 6 year old water heater entirely. What a coincidence.
Plumber comes out today with 30 years experience, replaces the sensor and voila. Says the assembly is absolutely fine and functioning properly with no leaks.
True scumbag move to fear monger your way into business. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I called H Jack Plumbing to look at my furnace this morning. I was advised that I need a blow motor. The cost was $865. After installing the motor, I was advised that I needed to replace the furnace. They offered to wipe out the cost of the motor if I went through them for the replacement. I feel like the technicians were not truthful in their assessment and took advantage of me. I will never use their company again.
Had a problem with my toilet leaking water and dripping from the back and appeared to be coming from underneath the toilet tank. First guy from H Jacks comes out around 2 p,m. Tightens a few things and charged me an $89 service call. All appears to be ok. Now it's an hour later and there is water all over the floor in front of the toilet. Second call to Jacks and now someone else will be out. At a little after 4 two repair men appear. It's the wax ring and a few other things that need replaced along with a new supply line, which they did't have on the van and needed to go to Lowes to pick up. Let's back up here for a moment, the first guy wrote on the receipt that the supply line was leaking. Why didn't he do something other than tighten it? So now it's after 5 and the 2nd guy tells me that it's considered overtime at around $205 an hour. But because the first guy didn't fix it properly, he wouldn't charge me o.t. The total cost of repairs not including the suppy line came to $441 (bolts, gaskets and the cost of pulling the toilet to replace the wax ring). Now I also get charged $258 for the supply line and that's because they didn't have one on the van and had to go to Lowes. None of this is my fault. Had the first guy done his job I would't have needed the second team. I asked that the $89 charge from the first call be taken off. He said it was. Then why charge me $699!!! I'm an older lady on a fixed income and can't really afford this. I've worked in the apartment business 28 years and told some of my co-workers. Their response- ""boy, did you get ripped off"". Indeed I did.
Let me just add one more thing. I'd agree to paying the $441 for the replacement items but not the $258 for the supply line that should have been fixed by the first guy and for the simple fact that they didn't have the item available and used my time to go get it. Again, not my fault. Probably won't hear from anyone. Let's see if they practice good customer service.
OK, problem resolved. Thank you Ben. Customer is happy.
