My hot water heater went out earlier this week and I was shopping around for a plumber. I requested quotes through Yelp and HIPHS&D was the only one to reply. I even called the big name companies (you know who they are) and they all wanted to come out to give me an estimate. I knew what was wrong with my old hot water heater and knew what I wanted in regards to a replacement. All the others wanted to make other recommendations versus listening to me the customer. I went to Home Depot to purchase the heater I wanted but it wasn't in stock so I had to order it for home delivery. Hyram was accommodating with scheduling my heater arrived late in on the day for install and he graciously fit me in for the next morning. The install was done on time and my hot water was back in service an hour later. And the price was cheaper than the others who came out for their free assessments.

The work is good, and they were here when promised. They were a bit expensive and the written estimate and the bill both arrived at the same time without any kind of a break down. I paid more that 1200 to move a drain and the pipes for a sink ten inches to the right. (Edit follows) so your reply seems to make it sound like you willingly overcharged me because I was stuck, but then here you said that I could have asked for a discount? That can't be right.

We needed our garbage disposal replaced and our shower drain cleared and they took care of us very promptly and professionally! We will definitely be coming back to them if we ever have any more needs!!

Hiram has been my go to plumber since I moved here 2 1/2 years ago. He has come out every time and unclog my drains. He is quick to respond and always has fix the problem. Also because Hiram doesn't have huge overhead like the big guys he still able to charge very reasonable rates compared to any other company I've called out.

I called this Plumbing service to get a quote to have my bathroom tub leaking faucet repaired and was extremely disappointed with a man who answered the phone. This man who answered the phone was a plumber himself who asked me take pictures of my leaking faucet which I sent them to him via text. When he called me back to discuss what would have been a job quote the very first thing that I immediately noticed about his tone on the phone was his unpleasant, condescending, and very obnoxious demeanor. This plumber was almost yelling on the phone was literally telling me that my faucet was too old to be fixed and that my calling him was just wasting his time. I would not recommend this plumbing service even to my worst enemy! And by the way, I was able to get another reputable plumber who simply replaced two faucet cartridges and fixed my leaking faucet! I wanted to grade this plumbing services with an F but that option is not available.

I wanted to wait Two weeks after H.I.P Home Service & Drain completed service at my home( Tampa Fl) to post so it would not be an emotional review. The moment Mr H introduced himself until the time he cleaned up the job site he was friendly and professional. He first gave me an assessment of the job duties, time line and price to which I agreed. Over the years I have become all to familiar with plumbing and draining company's but this was the first service call needed in our newly purchased home ( 24 months ago). Mr H craftsmanship is second to NONE. His knowledge of older homes plumbing systems are second to none. The saying goes """" you get what you pay for"""" in relation to my experience has me IN THE PLUS COLUMN. This is the first positive review I have posted on Yelp and it is well deserving. Any homeowner would be doing themselves a disservice if they use any other company.

Hyram is a God-sent lifesaver! Not only was my call answered promptly and appointment scheduled immediately as he was able to squeeze me in, Hyram was also very knowledgeable and professional. He was also extremely patient answering my little one's questions. Once the problem was identified, Hyram quickly jumped into the most efficient and effective solution to clear out blocks of hardened grease. All in all, it was a great experience and if definitely keep him on my list of experts to call!

Hyram did an amazing job!!! He showed up on time, very pleasant, and got the job done at reasonable price, unlike some if the other quotes I was quoted. He explained everything that needed to be done and what options I had. Even though he was alone, he got the job done in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. He also seen something that could have been a potential hazard and made the area safe. I would defiantly recommend him for his services.
