Back in 1948, in the small town of Menlo Park, David Donald Guy founded his plumbing service business working out of his family home on Oakley Ave. With his wife Elvira, he established a base for the family-owned business. A few years later, he was supported by his sons Roger, Alan, and Mike, and the Guy Plumbing brand emerged.
In 1973, we incorporated, Roger and Alan managed the operation and were supported by David, Roger's son David. During 1988, they relocated to its current site at 1265 El Camino Real, Menlo Park and opened up a plumbing display area.
David's grandson David, along with their families, run the service and showroom space. During 2009, David's great-grandchild Camille joined the family business, ushering in the fourth wave of the Guy legacy.

Sc*w these guys. Called a couple of times about getting some leaks fixed. They couldn't be bothered to call me back.

I have been a longtime (20 yrs) customer of Guy Plumbing. Loved their neighborhood service, and always competent and friendly folks. But things have changed for the worse. I have a leaky bathroom sink and called today to schedule a visit. I left a message to get a callback, and did a few hours later. I explained I needed a service call because the elbow at the sink was leaking. The woman from Guy, initials YC, wanted to know what kind of sink. I told her a Kohler (a brand Guy carries). Then she wanted to know the style. I wasn't sure. ""It is leaking at the elbow,"" I said. ""Isn't that enough?"" She said I needed to take a picture of the sink and email it to her before she could schedule a service call. Really? Suppose you have a leaky sink but no iphone to take a picture, or ability to send a text or email? Guess you are s--- out of luck. Anyway, she refused to schedule the call until I sent her a picture. So I did, and she called me back an hour later. She said she could schedule a service call in 11 days. What? Wait 11 days for a plumber when I have a leaky sink? No thanks. I am through with Guy Plumbing. There are obviously shorthanded, and have hired very unhelpful people. (Her attitude was bad from the get-go; as if I existed to make her life more difficult.) Here's a news bulletin to Guy Plumbing: There are other plumbers in the yellow pages.

Top notch, highly recommend. High quality work, excellent customer service, fair pricing, on time, and efficient, thoughtful work with great communication. He even took a moment to chill with my dog, who is an excellent judge of character :)
Had some shower valves replaced which also stopped a slow water leak.
Look these ""guys"" up if you have plumbing needs on the peninsula.

Thank you for fixing my water heater first thing on Monday morning. This company is my go to for plumbing services. They are professional, dependable, and trustworthy. Above all, they do excellent quality of work. Great job Guy Plumbing and Heating!

Now had two separate calls with Guy and exceptionally happy. Both times Ron has done a complete job. Not just fixing the reported problems but making sure other connections are tight or replaced , seals are replaced, etc. Very happy with Guy Plumbing and will definitely call on again when needed.

Nice shop with plenty of kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
Greg was great help finding me a suitable kitchen faucet.
I highly recommend you go there for fixtures.
(I am sure their other services are just as good).

Love Guy Plumbing. They have been my designated plumber for the last 30 years. Everyone I have dealt with there is professional and knowledgeable. If there's a job that is out of their scope, they are honest about it and will refer me to someone who can. Great people at Guy. They are the ones that make the different.

Super helpful and resourceful sales staff. Place is small but packed with models and they can look up anything else on the catalog

I can't recommend them highly enough! Glen was courteous and friendly and not only fixed our toilet but did trouble shooting to figure out where the water had come from. Extremely professional. I won't hesitate to use them again!

Minor calamities arise at every business - the test is how they respond, and, for me, Guy Plumbing gets five stars.
The water pressure regulator at our house began to fail a week ago, causing slow water flow throughout the house. I made an appointment with Guy to replace the unit, but on the morning they were scheduled to arrive, Toby called to report that their employee was out sick and they had to cancel and re-book for next week.
Unfortunately, the pressure regulator had gradually deteriorated, reducing our water flow to a trickle. I explained to Toby that we were in a bit of a bind, and I'd really appreciate if they could keep me on the priority list in case of cancellation, but I resigned myself to a few more days of inconvenience.
Guy Plumbing called back a few minutes later - Toby had cleared a slot on his schedule and was on his way with a replacement valve. We were up and running 100% a couple hours later.
It's unpredictable when an employee can't make it to work, or when another calamity interferes with business-as-usual. But when the business owners and managers step up to fill in for employees out sick, you know they care about getting things right for the customer. So, thank you Toby!
