Conmen. Absolutely horrible experience. After showing up unprepared to do the job we asked and being told it would be more, we said we weren't comfortable moving forward. We asked for a refund and they said they would take care of it. But instead, they kept half of our 50% deposit and on top of that charged us $1600 for ONE hour of sanding our porch, which they didn't even do well. When we've called to dispute the charge, they say there is nothing they can do and hang up on us. It was heartbreaking to lose thousands of dollars I had saved for this project and get nothing for it. Filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and looking into small claims court.

Gus and Sons Home Improvement worked on my home to get it ready to put on the market. They were quick to collect the money but not to finish the job. I spent over $20,000.00 on upgrades and did not get quality service. I never knew when they were coming and starting and the ""3 week job"" as I was quoted (6 months later) it still isn't finished and I had to get someone else to finish the work. Much of what was done was very sloppy and unprofessional. I now have new sinks in all of my bathrooms that are not connected up to code. They painter missed many spots and did not caulk around any sinks after painting. There also was no care for my personal things. Everything was piled into huge piles...broken or thrown away. Gus and Sons threw the grids away from all of my windows after repeatedly telling them I needed them to be put back in the windows. I could write a book about the negative experience and all the damage they did to my home under the heading of ""getting ready to sell"". Also I should mention that Gus did not have his license renewed until halfway though my project. I currently am in court with this organization trying to recoup from some of the damages. I suggest you think long and hard before you use Gus and Sons Home Services to complete jobs within your home. I would have rated this ""zero"" stars but I had to rate at least one to move forward on the computer.

I have used Gus and Sons when I bought my house in Chantilly, I fully remodeled the entire two level, The communication was excellent, on time and within budget, I couldn't be happier. I differently will do business again in the future, A+++
