I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy .

They don't show up on time
They take all the works - big and large and skip ones they cant do after committing .
No communication incise of delay or no show .
They wont pick your phone call but will pick up calls from another number .
Any urgent job , do your home work before you call them . I would never call him , very unprofessional.

I found this plumber on CL. Sent him a picture of valves that I needed to replace. He gave a price, we agreed. I called association to shut the water down (from 9 a.m. to noon). I called Guenther the day before and asked him to come at 8.30a.m. to see if he has everything to complete a job. He told me that he had a full pick-up truck of valves, materials etc. and there is no point to come earlier. So he came at 10.15 a.m.!!! looked at old valves and went to Home Depot to buy a new ones!!! (Come on, man. I thought you are professional). Ok, he came back at 10.45a.m., replaced valves and when maintenance turned the water back on one pipe was leaking. Maintenance turned the water down again, Guenther tried to fix that leak and he couldn't. One connection is still slowly leaking. I called him to come back and fix that again, but he never responded.
So, don't deal with this guy, he is not reliable, not responsible and not professional.

6 pm. Texts I'm not going to make it. Calls to say he will be out first thing in the morning. I'm writing this at 10:37. Still a no show. I have scheduled another plumber.

My property manager called him for service and he came out to look at a main water line repair. Called me with a quote and then called me back the following day to lower his quote. I should have known he was just setting the hook. After I agreed to a $700 repair the next day he never showed. Then he showed in the afternoon a day later and then the price went to $1,000 He said he was there a 1:00pm but I did not get notified until 4:30. He stuck it to me two days in a row. He was at the house and never looked at the problem? I'm sorry, but what kind of professional does not look at a job when on site to give a firm quote? Not this one. Don't walk, run from this guy, he will try to stick you hard. I learned my lesson by not reading reviews first. Shame on me for believing him.

Do not go to Gunther. He installed a hot water heater in my property. It did not pass inspection from the Village of Streamwood. I've called him at least 10 times and have left messages and he has never returned my call. I also send a picture of the inspection report to his phone and both myself and the village emailed him and still no reply. Go with someone else.

We agreed on a price then he phoned 2 days later to increase it. He's a no show. I'm now glad that he didn't turn up since I've just read all the other yelp reviews. Dodged a bullet. Do not bother wasting your time.

I have a home that needed a complete repipe . Paid him 1/3 of the money needed to start . He came a few days to do the waste lines . Left for 1 week and kept putting me off for his service calls. I was not in a hurry at the time since I needed other work to be done before I could get the inspector in . Finally he started showing up again came Tuesday and wensday and said he needed more money to buy the copper. I said fine wrote him a check and he was suppose to come in the next day (10/29/15)
Never showed up and stopped answering my calls and texts . Now I have to get an attorney to go after him for the money I paid him

Gunther is a nice guy. He did a good job with a water softener bypass; however, he was out of fittings so needed to use some from my existing pipe; It is now leaking; not sure if it's the solder joint, or the pipe itself. He was supposed to come Saturday but did not make it so initially gave him a one score on yelp believing he simply was a no-show. He contacted me this morning as I had texted him numerous times, apologizing; explaining he had lost his phone and since recovered it, by the good graces of a stranger. I will take him at his word. As I mentioned, he is a nice guy and seems very competent so I felt my review was too extreme.

Went to court 09/25/2015. Guenther was a no show. So now there is a Judgement against him. It's out there folk's it is public knowledge, do your homework.

Not only is his word completely useless he is a poor plumber. A simple water heater install and 2 leaks. The 2nd he will not return to fix. Very poor workmanship. He spills glue all over the place, crooked pipes, leaks, you name it. There's a reason he's not on BBB. STAY AWAY!!
