Inexperienced technician came to my home to install a water pump and left an interior tube unattached resulting in flooding. After another technician came back to fix the problem, I noticed more water that same night. After a third visit, the technician solely turned a valve on my humidifier and the company charged me an additional $216 after paying $325 the first time. There was never a water issue until midstate came into my home. They tried blaming me for the valve being on too much but I never touched it. They refused to take responsibility saying their first technician didn't do anything to it even though he clearly had no clue what he was doing.
The owner, Bob, was extremely nasty, arrogant, and rude. He denied any fault on their part.
BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CROOKS!

They are the worst. I called them because my AC wasn't cooling my house. This was a Friday's. I was told the technician would be at my house between 8 and 2. He fight show until 4. Anyway. He goes outside my house looks at my unit and tells me it's dirty. First of all he looked like a drug addict. Well he Doesn't check anything else. He begins then to Hose the AC unit down and says it good charges me $150 and then leaves. Well it wasn't good. The temp in my house was 85. I called all weekend trying to get someone' on the phone. They told me it would take 24 hours for the house to cool. Ok 24 hours later n still nothing. Made at least 4 more calls with no response. I have a 2 month old child in my house in 85 degrees. Real nice. So I called someone else and they fixed my AC. I will NEVER EVER call these people again. All they care about is the $$ I put a stop payment on the check and now I am getting certified letters from them. Do your self a favor. DO NOT USE MIDSTATE HEATING N COOLING.
This company does not even deserve one star. They installed a new air conditioner. After installment, there was a leak coming from the coils. The technician said its normal. It failed township inspection!!! I never had an appliance that failed inspection!!! Many things need to be re-done and now, the company is giving me the run around with when the air conditioner can be fixed. Receptionists say "" it will be fixed in the morning, or the afternoon."" What kind of appointment is that?
Plus, when the company was called about the leak, a technician came to the house to LOOK at it, and the company had the nerves to charge almost $150 for the visit. The Receptionist did not tell me about the charge before the visit and I shouldn't be charged for something that was just installed a few days prior!!!! Do not contact this company for anything.
1 star is too good for the experience I had with this firm! My faulty AC unit, they told me could not be fixed and had to be replaced at a cost of $4500. A lot of money, so I got a second opinion. Another company diagnosed a faulty part which they replaced at a cost of $35. At best the engineer misdiagnosed the issue and doesn't know what he is doing or at worst they were trying to get $4500 out of the situation - I left repeated msgs and emails to highlight this issue and get my call out charge refunded. Noone has responded. Unless you want to pay for more than you need avoid this firm, I would not trust them!
Mid-State was great. They worked efficiently and professionally with good pricing. I would recommend them. Unfortunately, I have had negative experiences in the past with AJ Perri so I was happy to have a good HVAC experience.
This msg is in response to the owners reply to my previous post..... i have evidence with me on my email account with reminders sent to Rhonda and every time she only said that she would revert back after checking with the technician.
With regards the application for loan... Yes she sent me an application form to take loan but not the estimate for the project. ( Btw,I already had it from other contractors too) But i never received the estimate from your end. What purpose is a loan application without knowing what your cost is??? I am supposed to fill in the contractors name in the loan application. Do you think I would fill your name on a loan application without receiving your estimate??
If you dont have your records right, pls contact me and i can get you dates of when each email was sent and what replies i received. If necessary i can also upload screen shots of all those emails
I would not recommend this company as I have not had a good experience with them. However, I do have to say the technicians are good though

This company ruined my wooden floor and would not admit it.
Their inexpeirenced tech did not clamp the hose back on and ruined my floor by creating a leak.. would not recommend using this company as they will not admit to their mistakes
Robert W.Unbelievable! I had mid state install a new heat an A/C furnace in my house in 2010! I've had nothing but problems with them since! In July of 2010 they installed it but they failed to hook up the heating to the thermostat! So obviously I didn't notice it till it got cold out! Then a water pump went on it and they charged me 700 dollars to install a 50 dollar pump! Then last year July 4th the freon leaks out and after 2 days of being on there ""list"" they finally come and fix the leak and refill the freon! So a year later the freon has leaked out again! And they put me back on there list!! With no time when there going to get to me! You'd think that they'd want to put me as a priority seeing as my A/C has crapped out on my twice in 4 years!! Guy tells me he doesn't know when he can get to me after waiting all day today! I canceled the service call and called another company who gave me a time tomorrow afternoon!! Hopefully they can fix Midstates screw up!!!
