called this company for service gave them our complete address was given an appointment for Friday 6/28/2024 12-4pm they call me the day of late saying they can't come had an emergency, ok rescheduled for Monday 7/1 9-12 now I get another call to reschedule again because their techs flights got delayed from vacation ARE YOU SERIOUS! They put me on hold to see what can be done, they come back on the phone and I quote ""sorry we actually can't service your location we're not licensed in Newark, NJ! You have got to be kidding!!! This is the worst company EVER!!!
They should change their name because the service is not guranteed, not even with an appointment. Had an appointment scheduled in the morning on a 95 degree day and while we are waiting for them to show up, I get a call saying they need to reschedule. When I ask to speak to someone in charge, they said this is a call center and they don't have anyone in charge. If you want guaranteed service call any other place but this one. We called another company that morning and someone came over within 2 hours, fixed the AC unit and left. No hussle, no waiting. This was my first time dealing with Guaranteed Service and it was a huge waste of time. Should have listened to the other reviews.
Todd DeGaray told me there was carbon monoxide coming from my unit. The unit is only 4 years told. He told me I would die in my sleep if I kept the unit running. I had the fire department come and check it. There was no carbon monoxide. Todd told me I needed a new unit. He was delighted because he would get a commission. I live in a development. Unfortunately Todd told another resident the same thing. She is elderly. He took advantage of her. She unfortunately fell for it. He is a despicable person and should be fired. I have written a compliant to our HOA about Todd to get the word out not to use his service. Lastly another Guaranteed Service rep came named Curtis. He came to check Todd's work after I complained to Todd's supervisor Joe. Curtis checked the unit and said it was fine. Said he didn't understand why Todd would recommend a new unit as it was only 4 years and there was no indication of carbon.
Worst company to to deal with, This company will take the money and run
we had so many problems with the unit they recommended and installed.
after spending $18000 we get run around. we have to call multiple time
to get it fixed.Still the unit is not working. Now we thinking of geting a lawyer
to get our money back.
Todd DeGaray of Guaranteed Service came to fix our furnace system (thermostat on the fritz). He showed up on time, put on booties, checked it all out thoroughly (& our unit's in our attic), figured out the problem & fixed it. Cleaned up after himself and left a number if anything else came up. Friendly, respectful, and professional service.
Guaranteed Service was an easy-to-deal-with operation: assessed well by dispatch and kept informed of technician's estimated arrival time (which was accurate).
They're our ""go-to"" for HVAC & plumbing needs. Not cheap (is any plumber or electrician???) but we feel they treated us fairly with competitive prices and gave us good, reliable products and good service.
I WOULD NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I called and wanted three light fixtures replaced and I already bought the lights and wanted someone to give me a price to just install them. Plain and simple which would take less than an hour. First they said it would cost me $52.00 just to send a guy out to give me a estimate which took a whole five minutes and they were only a town away from me not a whole state. When the guy came he gave me a price of over $700.00. that was to ONLY replace existing light fixtures not rewire my whole house. Me and my husband almost had a heart attack. So we told him that was insane. So he said he could give us a coupon and bring it down to over $500.00 which is also insane. Its is an simple job and that price was ridiculous. So NO I feel he saw two older people and thought he would think we were stupid and rip us off not knowing my brother and uncle in Florida are electrician and we knew better. We got several other estimates and none of them charged a fee to come out and give us an estimate and some of them came from a lot farther and ALL of them had around the same estimate of $200.00 which is what I expected to do a job that takes 45 minutes and they didn't even have to but the fixtures. It would have cost me less money to fly my brother up from Florida and have him do the job. So we found a GREAT LICENSED electrician and we were SO happy with them they will be the one for us from now on.
They came on time, and fixed my furnace which was dead, and it was fall. Price was reasonable. The guys wore booties, and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommended.
Danielle F.I really wanted to like this company and to move forward using them to replace a tankless water heater. I read some people write reviews that they charge an astronomical price and they are right. I guess they pry on people who don't mind paying a lot. I'm a single female who owns a single family home on my own. I'm not someone who wanted to pay triple the price. After I was quoted $15,000 to replace a tankless (existing) water heater I will never go back. I had two other quotes between $3,800 to about $6,000. Not sure if they charge $10,000 in labor or for their ""complimentary"" two year service they offer with it. However, I politely thanked the guy and sent him out. Mind you, I don't have central air in my house and have even been quoted less to have a whole central air and duct work installed in my house.
We had a tech come out to check our system, he said it was no good and we needed a new one. This cost me $100, that would be put toward the cost if we used them. The tech scheduled an estimate for the same night. When we received the estimates, the lowest being $14,850. We said we would let them know, he left in a huff stating he wouldn't have driven here if we were not buying that night. However called a different company the next morning and low and behold my air conditioner was up and running in 5 minutes
These people, after I spoke for 10 minutes with a customer service rep, stated that it would cost our company $52 to come and diagnose the issue, and the same $52 would be added to our cost if we hired them. The tech came and immediately asked for $400 to look at the problem. His attitude sucked! They/He tried to take advantage of our small nonprofit. I don't believe these ratings are real, not after the experience I just had. It was horrible, they should be ashamed. If could have commented with zero stars, I would have.
