Talk about fast and easy! Called Gene because of a clogged shower drain. He showed up 30 minutes later and took care of the problem. Charged us the normal price (which was more than fair) instead of the emergency price. Gotta love that! Friendly, upfront and honest. We will definitely have him back again for some upgrades we are looking to do.

Gene was awesome - fixed my toilet problem the same day - some other plumber told me it was going to take 2 weeks to order parts blah, blah - Gene had it done that night - he came back after 6 and finished the job!

GS was responsive to our initial call when we had a water leak. The reason for the 3-stars is due to a couple things.

We had our water heater turned off because of the leak. When GS left, we didn't really test the water and check if hot water was coming. Then overnight found out hot water wasn't on. It wasn't until I consulted another engineer in our building that we pinpointed the heater was not turned back on. This was a small thing but part of making sure everything is in order.

2nd visit
We were happy with the service so we called GS back for maintenance work. I am not exactly 100% satisfied with the shower head maintenance and caulking in the kitchen. I will call them back and see if we can address it. We have plans for additional work too.

Price wise, I would not say that you always feel good after getting the bill.

Gene is the BEST of the best!

I read all of the rave reviews before hiring GS, and I was STILL blown away. Gene is a friendly, outgoing professional with a great sense of humor. He & his assistant, Robert, juggled their schedule to get here, helped me find a great solution for installing my new washer/dryer combo, & got to work immediately. It makes me tear up a little bit when I meet professionals who obviously know their stuff & take pride in their work -- It's so rare. Call GS if you're a big fan of expert workmanship!

Earlier this month. our toilet started overflowing. Gross. So we called GS Custom Plumbing (after seeing an ad on Yelp), and Gene came over later that afternoon. We asked for him to clear the clog & to see what was the problem using a camera. Turns out, roots were growing into one of the pipes. Did you know roots could do that? I did not. He fixed the clog and gave us recommendations on how to fix the pipe.

THEN the next day, our laundry room had water on the floor. Another pipe? Turns out the pipes we had under our house had been installed improperly. Call GS Plumbing! We did, and they helped us figure out the problem and suggested improvements

Would totally recommend GS plumbing to everyone. Gene is super friendly and his crew is very professional. They want to do the best job they can, and are helpful in every way.

So I had a sewer line back up at my house. Not fun, and worse got some expensive quotes from my go-to guys. People came out, poked around, and were quoting me wholesale replacement of my sewer line. I really felt uncomfortable with the numbers coming back, so I found GS off of this very site.

Gene was awesome, showed me the problem, what he knew and didn't know at that point, which with a sewer blockage is part of the problem, got me to a livable state, then for the major repair he gave me a fair price, and knocked out the repair in a day, just like he said he would.

I appreciated him showing me at different stages what he was looking at and my options for repair. I have had the experience in the past of sitting around sweating, wondering what the total was going to look like. He didn't mind me being nosy and checking out the work from time to time, and his crew was as friendly and honest. Overall, very glad I called him, and would recommend him to anyone.

We just moved into our house and using all the water, showers and toilets normally. First the toilets stared to backup...then the showers...and then everything else. I had this issue in the house we had just moved from and they had to rooter out roots close to the street, so i assumed this was similar, since the house we moved into had been sitting dormant for several months. I call Gene on a Saturday and left a message. Within 15 minutes I recieved a call back. I told him what was going on, and he was on his way. Neither of us realized this would be a bigger job then it lead on to be. He was able to get the line cleared and warned us this was going to happen again and a Clean-Out needed to be installed in a common place where the problems were occuring. Within a day, we were backed up again....Gene told us so! He came back out the next day and did the full-on investigation to determine the full scope of te work. Within 2 days, we had everything installed and fully functional. Gene and his team were very professional, super-friendly and mindful of our situation. He was very upfront about the costs, but I was not too sensitive about the price, as long as the quality was there. I assure you, you will get both from GS Custom Plumbing. I will not call anyone else for my plumbing needs. Thank you Gene!

I needed a plumber asap because my bf dropped an electric razor in the toilette--the head came off and I flushed it by accident! Oops! But I had no clue who to call in the plumbing world until I yelped it ... and THANK YOU yelpers because GENE was great! So nice, very professional, reasonably priced AND he fixed the issue quickly. LOVE THIS GUY.
But let me go back a bit. We had a total backup in our main sewer line. We had tried snaking it ourselves, but the rental unit only went 100 feet. And seriously, it was NOT something I would want to do again. It was a Sunday, and I just wanted it fixed. We couldn't flush the toilets or run any water. So it was a bit of an emergency. We called Mike Diamond because they are well known. A MISTAKE. That dude was so useless it was nothing but a waste of our time. I came to my senses and yelped ""Sherman Oaks Plumber"" and Gene was the first name that came up. I called him, but it was late on a Sunday, so he came out at around 8:45am the next morning. 15 minutes early by the way. He fixed the problem, ran a camera, and installed a clean out for us all for less than $1000. Mike Diamond had quoted us $5000 and didn't do ANYTHING.

Gene is the man. Also, my dad was instantly ""buddies"" with him. We will call Gene again for ALL plumbing issue we have. I suggest you save yourself the headache of dealing with anyone else and call him too. Definitely don't call the idiots at Mike Diamond. The reason they ""Smell good"" is because they don't do shit. Literally.

Gene is great. Our toilet was mysteriously leaking -- thankfully clean water -- and we called him for help. He called before his arrival, came promptly and was very considerate in doing his work efficiently and quietly which was important since we have a newborn in the house. We will definitely be calling Gene back for all our plumbing needs.
