In 1920, Paul J. Grunau founded Grunau Company to provide plumbing and repair services. The business diversified into HVAC and piping in 1923, and in 1929, Paul E. Grunau joined, introducing fire protection services. After being led by four generations of the Grunau family, the company integrated into the APi Group network of specialty contractors in 2006.
