Paul J. Grunau started Grunau Company in 1920, focusing on plumbing and repair. The company grew to include HVAC and piping services in 1923, followed by fire protection in 1929 when Paul E. Grunau joined. After four generations of Grunau leadership, the company joined the APi Group family of specialty contractors in 2006.
