Eli T.Everything Home Depot wishes they were. Extremely helpful, have almost everything you could need and always friendly. Great establishment
Every time I go to Home Depot, I am frustrated because I usually can't find someone to answer my questions. At Grover's, when you take a number you will get someone to help you almost immediately. I was disconnecting an old, built-in stereo system and wasn't sure how to go about it. I brought in a picture of the back of the unit and the Grover's employee knew right away that none of the wires were going to shock me if I touched them. He recommended how to tape them up, and I bought a $0.60 plate to cover the hole in the wall. Great service, great advice.
Heather S.Yup, I have to agree with all others. This is a pretty rad place. Grab a number, wait patiently, hear your number, get a personal chauffeur to help you find what you need. Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly, I love it!
I do suggest going early in the day. While the number system and personal guide is amazing, the wait can get a bit long, totally worth it though. They care that you get what you need, the first time!
My dad and I find reasons to go to Grover's we love it so much.
Are you kidding me or joking me? This is by far the best place to get your plumbing and electrical supplies in the free world. You will find their prices competitive with the big boxes. The staff is amazing. You will go home with what you need saving you many return trips. Best of the best.
We recently replaced our refrigerator and found out the ice maker water supply valve in the wall leaked when open. I removed the top washer in the valve and brought it in to Grover's to be replaced. Rob assisted me on two occasions and asked me when my home was built. I told him it was built in 1995. He said that the valve was too old to replace the washer and that our home probably had polybutylene water pipes. He told me how to covert the pipe end to PEX and replace the valve. He even made a suggestion that saved me money! I spent less than $25 dollars. I got a plumber's estimate for $150! The new refrigerator water tastes great and now we have an automatic ice maker, YAY! Service like this is unheard of these days. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Grover's.
Alison L.This is my husband favorite place for home repairs BY FAR! Totally old school, in a good way, where you walk in clueless and take a number. Then you can peruse the aisles until they call your number. When its your turn, an employee (usually a retired plumber/electrician) will hear you explain your issue (they love pictures of the issue!) and will then wall you step-by-step through how to fix the issue and will guide you to the correct products. Easy-smeezy!!!
I have a difficult time choosing how many stars to give... This store has all your plumbing and electrical needs and a very knowledgable staff, but there is some opportunity for improvement when it comes to speed of customer service. I really like that attention is given to each customer to ensure all project needs are met, but I waited 30+ minutes to make a return. There were a few other customers waiting with me for similar tool rental returns and I could sense frustration amongst us. A number is drawn from a ticket-printer (like the DMV) and customers are helped in order. It was frustrating to wait this long to make a simple return that took 2 minutes. Overall, the system is good for getting project-specific advice from the sales guys, but lumping returns into the same category is not good. I won't be renting any tools in the future if I can avoid it, but I would still purchase parts and pieces from the store.
Drew C.I found this place by chance and must say that the selection of electrical parts, service and knowledge is light years better than the big blue or orange box stores. I stopped in needing to add some outlets to my garage and they had all the parts I needed to get my job done. More importantly they had sales people that knew their stuff, they sold me just the right type and amount of materials that I needed to get my little project completed plus they gave me a few tips to help me do it right the first time.
Thank you Grovers, I'll definitely be back!
Mitzi M.We've been searching for more contemporary lighting for our home, both online and locally, without much luck. Happened to be driving by Grovers and saw their lighting display and stopped to take a look. Glad we did.
Grovers is a combination of an old-timey electrical, hardware, and lighting store. We found many options that we really liked and were reasonably priced. I also appreciate that they are not a big box store wherein you search up and down the aisles to find someone to help you.
They were very busy when we were there, yet, everyone was greeted and attended to within a few minutes.
I think we need more of these local stores.
Jeff S.One of the absolute best places I've been to when needing plumbing parts for my house and yard... and a customer service that I wish all businesses had. I go in with a picture or video on my phone and these employees know exactly what I'm looking at and how to solve my issue. There have been a few items I could have gotten cheaper prices at a big box store but the questions I have and the inferior parts just aren't worth the time. These guys have saved me what used to be multiple trips from bad info at the box stores. I can't recommend them highly enough.
