Greetings,
Went to Grover's for the best parts for my Irrigation Valve replacement. After digging for about 20 days...now I just spent not more than 30 minutes a day. Finally got the old valves exposed enough to replace the valve. After installing the 1"" Valve, 1"" Tee, drain valve and PVC to the sprinkler system, waited a day...no leaks. So time to slowly open the new valve...wow no leaks...so I opened it ALL THE WAY...darn the new valve leaked out the top. So after a call to Grover's, I was told to remove the Valve and bring it in with my sale's slip and they would replace the Valve. Well of course I didn't have the receipt. Should I try to tighten down the nut on top of the Valve...it is already hard to open?

Today is a sad day!!!
It was my last time in Grover's Thanks to Manager Steve!!!
On 6/29/17 I purchased a irrigation pump for my sprinkler system. I bought the nicer one that was heavy duty with brass parts instead of the plastic like most of them have.
At the end of last summer I blew out the sprinklers. I use my personal compressor that I set at 35 psi to avoid damaging my sprinkler heads. when doing it at the end of last summer, when the temperatures were no where close to freezing the metal blew out. So I looked in the manual. it told me it came with a 2 year warranty. I looked at my receipt, And I am still within that time frame. so today I went to Grover's where I had the privilege of meeting Manager Steve. he said that can only happen when it freezes and he will not honor the warranty. So I showed manager Steve that I blew it out when it was not freezing. Manager Steve continued to tell me that can only happen when it freezes. And then manager Steve tried telling me it split out because it sat there all Winter with water in it. That is funny because in October it had already been blown out. Manager Steve was getting really mad at me, and his face was turning bright red. Then manager Steve in a mean voice said ""LOOK I WILL REPLACE THE OUTER CASE AND THEN WE ARE DONE!""
Manager Steve then told the guy at the register to write me up just that part, and to document that there is absolutely no more warranty on anything whatsoever. How right you are manager Steve. we are done! I will never step foot in Grover's again!
Mercedes C.I went in to get an aerator for my kitchen faucet. The gentleman that helped me was kind and knowledgeable. he helped me find the correct size that I needed if I showed him using my fingers about how big around it was. That's great service.
The only reason for only four stars instead of five was because I had to look for somebody to help me and said little disorganized to get to the cash register.
I have only one recommendation for Grover's. Please raise your prices! I have lived in Boise for over 30 years and find myself needing to go to Grover's every 2 years or so. Went there the other day with a sprinkler issue. Rob was very patient and provided instructions and guidance that probably took 15 minutes. He led me to all the needed parts and in the end it cost slightly above $4.00.The advice was invaluable and spot on. This is our ""go to"" place for home projects.
Boyd M.grover's is always so helpful. solution providers! it's why you go there. all you need and people to walk you step by step so in the end you don't waste time or money. home depot and all the big boys have their place in the world but if you need something electrical or plumbing support these guys and as well their advice and knowledge is such a help.
Eli T.Everything Home Depot wishes they were. Extremely helpful, have almost everything you could need and always friendly. Great establishment
Every time I go to Home Depot, I am frustrated because I usually can't find someone to answer my questions. At Grover's, when you take a number you will get someone to help you almost immediately. I was disconnecting an old, built-in stereo system and wasn't sure how to go about it. I brought in a picture of the back of the unit and the Grover's employee knew right away that none of the wires were going to shock me if I touched them. He recommended how to tape them up, and I bought a $0.60 plate to cover the hole in the wall. Great service, great advice.
Heather S.Yup, I have to agree with all others. This is a pretty rad place. Grab a number, wait patiently, hear your number, get a personal chauffeur to help you find what you need. Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly, I love it!
I do suggest going early in the day. While the number system and personal guide is amazing, the wait can get a bit long, totally worth it though. They care that you get what you need, the first time!
My dad and I find reasons to go to Grover's we love it so much.
Are you kidding me or joking me? This is by far the best place to get your plumbing and electrical supplies in the free world. You will find their prices competitive with the big boxes. The staff is amazing. You will go home with what you need saving you many return trips. Best of the best.
We recently replaced our refrigerator and found out the ice maker water supply valve in the wall leaked when open. I removed the top washer in the valve and brought it in to Grover's to be replaced. Rob assisted me on two occasions and asked me when my home was built. I told him it was built in 1995. He said that the valve was too old to replace the washer and that our home probably had polybutylene water pipes. He told me how to covert the pipe end to PEX and replace the valve. He even made a suggestion that saved me money! I spent less than $25 dollars. I got a plumber's estimate for $150! The new refrigerator water tastes great and now we have an automatic ice maker, YAY! Service like this is unheard of these days. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Grover's.
