I have using Grooms to do adjustments to my irrigation system for 2 years since I've owned my home. I was told they were the original installers. Have been very happy with my tech. They send out the same guy and his assistant and they are always great to work with. I wish I remembered his name. They aren't super cheap, but aren't overly expenseive either but they are dependable which is very important to me.

Horrible!.. They may know sprinkler systems, but be prepared to wait all day and have them not show up. We had an appointment set up between 1-6PM and no one even called until 9:30 that evening. They said they would come out the next day first thing in the morning - 8:15 or 8:30AM. They showed up at 10:15AM.

And be prepared to pay for the time it takes them to get to your house. We were never told that we would be paying for travel time when we scheduled the appointment and expected to get an hour of their time. At $95 an hour, you can expect to add $40-50 bucks to your bill. They were here for 45 minutes, fixed one sprinkler head and charged us $138.

The technician was polite and apologetic as he was under a lot of pressure to stick to company policies. He said he has shared customer complaints about their travel policies many time, and customers were not being told about travel time. Really disappointing - customer experience and satisfaction seem to have ""gone down the drain"".

We will never use Grooms again. And that's unfortunate because this company charged the original home owner $3,000 in 1998 to install the entire system, and had been servicing the property irrigation needs for 23 years. It's always better to keep existing customers than to get new ones, but in this case, we will be hiring another company to service our beautiful home in Belmont Farms.

I've used Groom's Irrigation for years when it comes to sprinkler tune ups. They always impressed me by taking care of my existing problem and then showing me how to take care of my own issues. After bad luck with another local contractor I was in dire need of help and noticed Groom's had a Landscape service so I gave them a call. They sent a young lady out to survey my needs and give me some ideas. A couple of days later she emailed a quote. I went over it with my wife and emailed her back to put us on her schedule. In a couple of weeks she called and said they would be there Friday. Three workers showed up about 9a four counting her. Replaced a dying bush and reworked my problem area to a useable area any home owner would be proud to show anyone. No monkey business on the price or materials. Very professional. The next time I need ideas or Landscape work done I know who to call now.

After changes in the office this company has changed. I've used both the irrigation and landscaping services. Work on sprinklers has gotten sloppy and landscaping part of business rarely returns calls. Time for me to try another company.
