Our Journey - Founded in 1998

Dexter, after an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, entered the construction field as a member of a framing crew in North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, he moved on to full home renovations with a general contractor in Boston. After relocating to Florida, he joined a finishing crew as he pursued his first contracting license. Following his service in the Gulf War, he returned and made his home in the DC area, where he acquired his MHIC license. While working in group construction, Dexter recognized the shortcuts many in the industry used to quickly complete projects. This resulted in inferior quality that did not stand the test of time. He is committed to providing craftsmanship that lasts. The story behind starting his business is quite interesting. He disliked working for other contractors, as most rushed jobs and cared little for the longevity of their work. You never received fair compensation for your efforts, which motivated him to become his own boss.
