Our Journey - Founded in 1998

Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Dexter began his construction journey with a framing team in North Carolina. Soon after, he transitioned to complete home renovations with a general contractor in Boston. When he relocated to Florida, he joined a finishing crew while obtaining his first contracting license. Following his service in the Gulf War, he returned and made his home in the DC area, where he acquired his MHIC license. Having spent time in group construction, Dexter noticed the shortcuts many took to expedite jobs. Such practices led to poor workmanship that did not last. Dexter is dedicated to delivering quality work that endures over time. The motivation for launching his business is rather humorous. He found it frustrating to work for other contractors, who often prioritized speed over quality. You never received fair compensation for your efforts, which motivated him to become his own boss.
