We had a Slab-Leak under our kitchen...!! Mark T. from Griffin Plumbing was able to locate the leak and present us with options for the repair job. We chose to re-pipe the entire house due to the age of the existing pipes. We also replaced our 16 year old whole home Filter/Softener System with your Puronics System. All the work was done with absolute professionalism, and a concerted effort to create the least amount of disruption during that major project. Mark with Griffin was very helpful in installing a hot water circulating pump and line to expidite getting hot water to the farthest point away from the hot water heater. To get hot water immediately to the new shower will be wonderful and save lots of water too.
He was helpful in letting us know exactly what he was doing and finished the job without leaving a mess. Thank you Mark!

I will save everyone here a lot of time. If you call them, all they will do is ask if you want to pay a minimum of $79 for them to come out and give you an estimate. It may cost more than $79 to actually give you an estimate if the issue is complicated. The $79 is not applied toward any work that will later be done.

If this does not seem like a great plan for you and your needs, there's no use calling them at all.

My guess: this company is probably a place that mainly works with contractors for large jobs and not individual home owners for regular maintenance.

Griffin Plumbing was recommended to me by my pool service as I had a pipe that was clogged and they couldn't clear it. I called and was told that a plumber would come and asses the problem. A young man came with a helper and checked out the problem. They couldn't fix it that day and said they would be back. The next day, James came to my door, said the pipe was cleared and presented a bill for $500.00.
I felt that was quite steep, but worth it if the pipe was cleared, as the other possible solution was to tear up the concrete around the pool. That was a Wednesday. The next day.my pool guy came and told me the pipe WAS NOT CLEARED!! I called and complained to Griffin Plumbing, and James came back and worked on it again, still couldn't clear the pipe. After 3 visits, and no solution to the problem, I called and said I felt that $500.00 paid was outrageous. The person to whom I spoke, said well they did come out 3 times!!! Of course, the third visit, was because they hadn't cleared the pipe as I was told on the second visit. I eventually agreed to a fee of $250.00 for their efforts, which was ridiculous as they hadn't accomplished what was needed - a cleared pipe. James was polite, neat, but not able to fix the problem. Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER call Griffin Plumbing again!!!
My 82 year old brother-in-law, who is a retired engineer, worked on the clog and cleared the pipe for me, for free!

Called griffin out when my garbage disposal unit went out. They were prompt, courteous, clean and gave me options for other issues in and around the sink.
Chico did an entire home inspection and did a nice job with all the different tasks preformed.

The RO unit installed had a weird issue at first but it was dealt with promptly by Griffin and the problem had nothing to do with the services provided.

8 months ago Griffin Plumbing was called out, not by us, but by Smith & Sons, to repair a broken water line in the hallway of my 93 year old mother-in-laws house in Nipomo. In stead of repairing the floor pipe they lied to me stating that the whole house needed to be re-piped! Not knowing at the time that I could have called another plumber for an estaminet and because they had already made a repair to a pipe in the wall, (which wasn't the problem $700.00 later) I was told by Mark that this was the only way to fix the leak so like an idiot, I ok the work. $20,530.00!!!! Now I find that the pipe in the floor could have been fixed! This is backed up by now remembering a conversation I heard while sitting in my car in her driveway. Owner and 3 or 4 of his workers were talking about how to fix the leak. One worker asked the owner if they were going to go through the floor. Owners reply: "" OH NO, WE'LL MAKE THAT PRICE SO HI THAT THEY'LL HAVE TO GO THE OTHER WAY"" Well they was us, the Tilley family, and the other way was the re-piping of the whole house. They already knew that Framers Ins wasn't going to pay a dime of their repairs! My fault for oking the work. Their fault for scamming a 93 year old woman! Shame on you Griffin family. SHAME ON YOU! There is more but trust me they isn't enough room here to tell it all. Lynda Tilley

These guys do great work but they want huge fees!!! We had a water recirculating pump installed. After paying the 79.00 fee to come to the house to look things over he said it would be 850. I said ok because the type he recommended was pretty neat. He came and installed it. It took him 35 minutes to install it and the pump cost on the internet everywhere 300.00. So I guess he gets 550 for 35 min of labor. That was on top of the 79.00 Yes he's neat and clean and nice. I called him also to look at the sewer line to the street. He said it would cost an additional 632 to video it and estimate the cost. I thought the 79 was for that. That amt would go to the work if we chose them, but if we didn't we lost it. I said no . He said, after my asking what do you think it might be based on the 75 ft., 5 to 7 thousand dollars. The other plumber came out and estimated for free and the bill would be 2700. He was also neat ands clean and nice. A third plumber came and said 3500. He was neat and clean and nice. I just think they are outrageously expensive and I couldn't in good conscience call them again unless it was for the warranty on the part they installed.

We used Griffin Plumbing twice in the past (2011 and 2012) and both times we received very good service.

We called Griffin back out on 01/09/14 as our water pressure regulator was leaking. Mark came out, did an inspection and confirmed what I already knew... we would need a new pressure regulator.

Mark gave us options on replacing just the regulator or the entire inlet pipe with a shutoff valve and water spigot. The price for the entire inlet pipe, shutoff valve and pressure regulator was more than fair and I agreed to have the work done right away.

Mark had spent about an hour replacing the entire unit and did a great job. The new piping and hardware look great.

After paying Mark gave us a little welcome gift that was really nice. We talked about services Griffin has and gave us more options to consider in the future.

Overall it was a great service and we will for sure call upon Griffin in the future when we need plumbing services.

We called Griffin to do minor work. I was shocked when my husband told me the bill was over 900 dollars. For what? I see Brittany A says they are reasonable? She must be a relative. Never ever again. I tell everyone I know to not call them.
