I had a big leak in the kitchen sink. Vince examined it and in a matter of minutes it was fixed
simply a loose hose connection I was elated. We proceeded to my bathroom sink problem:
little to no water pressure on the Hot water. It took him about 15 minutes to check and clear out the faucet housing Voila! Rust!( I had been living without using hot water in that sink for over a year). Then we went outside were, once again, in a few minutes he determined my outside faucet needed to be replaced. Vince had one that fit and took care of it in short order. He was here just under an hour and had taken care of everything!
the price was very reasonable the hourly rate is $145.00 and the outdoor faucet was $15.00
plus I got a senior discount on the labor charges so to say I am very Happy & Pleased is actually an understatement. Thank You Vince you saved the Day and did it with ease and good
humor. I must say I found the office folks to be more than accommodating so Thanks also to
Virginia & Michelle.

I saw all these good reviews and decided to give them a chance. They fixed the water leak, the lady that answer the phone was nice but there were two things I wasn't happy about the service and their charges:
1. They came out for an estimate the 1st day, for about 2 - 3 hours of labor plus the cost of parts. We were billed for 3 hours plus labor for the work done the 2nd day. I called the technician, he said he spend around 2.5 hrs but they also have to charge 1/2 hr of time they are running to the store to get the part (???). That's like another $75 dollars we have to pay. Wish they told us in advance.
2. Tenant called and still have a leak afterwards, called them on a Friday night right after they left. No one called me back and later they claimed that they never received the message or phone call. Tenant fixed the leak.
Not likely to use them again.

I have used Greer Plumbing several times over the past 10 yrs, and once again they have provided me wonderful service, at a very fair price. Jeff and his assistant came to my house in Castro Valley and moved a gas line for me, capping another outlet, running a new line to a kitchen stove and a line to the garage in case we ever want a gas dryer. Figured while pipes are being rerouted, might as well. The work was clean, quick, they were prompt as scheduled. Can't complement them enough!

Our Company's bathroom was clogged and as much as we tried, we could not unclog it which then led to backups in the pipes and into our sinks. Went on yelp to find a plumber. Called the first few and most of them said they could not be here until 3 hours. With it being Xmas Eve and working half day, we needed someone right away. Hoping we would get someone near us, we called A1 Greer Family Plumbing and thankfully they just finished up a job around the corner from us. They came here pretty quick, took a look at our situation, told us what needed to happen and they got to it right away. They probably finished it within an hour. Pricing was not too bad either. Will definitely use them again. Thank you A1 and Happy Holidays!

I tried A1 Greer Family Plumbing because their reviews were good. I had a leeky sink. I had to take off time from work to get it fixed of course, because they don't work weekends. A young plumber came to fix the sink, seemed to diagnose it, purchased a new fawcet and replaced it at top dollar (around $450). Ouch!! In 2 months the fixture on top was loose, which I have tried unsuccessfully to tighten myself. Now it is clearly leaking. It seems that an expensive plumber is not necessarily better than the cheap ones. I can't recommend this company.

What????? An HONEST plumber? Why ""YES!"" These guys are as good as it gets. Had them come out today to inspect a potential leak. Jeff was on time and informed me what the issue (actually lack there of) was under my house FREE of charge! Gotta love a company that gives TOP NOTCH customer service! I would definitely utilize their services again!
A+++++

I had my mom call me yesterday because she had water backing up in the back -to- back tub and shower in her home in the Sleepy Hollow area of Hayward. I came out with my auger and went thru the main stack on the roof as I have done before, but the tub and shower didn't clear. I tried going down thru the shower drain (2"") and made it thru the trap, and couldn't get it to clear. I told my mom that she better call a professional to come out and she called you. A young man crawled under the very tight crawl space (been there before) and found that the fixture fitting they used is no longer to code and changed it with a clean-out accessable to the outside of the house. I believed what they used back in the day is what we refered to as a cross, with no cleanout. He pulled out a lot of hair ( used a hair strainer over your drain in the tub or shower). She received a 10% discount. The drain to the tub and shower is now serviceable, so I can take care of mom's house. Thank you for the prompt service.

I had to double check when i saw so many 5 stars. i thought maybe I was reviewing the wrong business. Then I saw the name ""Herb"" and knew I was in the right place.
Short version: Herb came out and snaked our drain (I already had everything moved out of his way. He needed me to provide a flashlight and a crescent wrench (seems like things a plumber might want to purchase at some point).
He spent a short amount of time snaking the drain, and was off.
A few days later, it backed up again.
My wife called in - the lady she spoke to said she would have management look into it. My wife got a call from Herb (I'm not sure if he is management?), who said he would not redo it and that our pipes were sized too small. Our house was built in the 1950s and the drain has worked fine.
Long story short, I wasted $150 for about 20 minutes of work and about 5 days of functioning drain. I was very surprised that they didn't honer their work for at least a week.

We have a tub in our house hasn't drained since we bought it three years ago. I finally called Greer Family Plumbing last week and they had someone come out on the day I requested. They get major points for actually having a dedicated phone person to schedule appointments, not just some guy's cell phone where he jots down your info on a scrap of paper. Greer runs a professional operation which makes scheduling so much easier.
Vince came out as scheduled and was able to replace our drain pipe in a few hours. I felt bad because it required him to crawl under our house through a tiny entrance and other repair guys (including my husband) have been less than thrilled about it, but the Vince went under there with GUSTO. Scampered in there like a champ and got it done. And he made sure to cover his work boots when he had to go back in the house to check the tub so he wouldn't track dirt everywhere. Very thoughtful and considerate work, plus the cost was less than what another (less reputable) plumber had quoted me. Highly recommended, I will be using them as our regular plumber from now on.

Tenant texts me one morning and said the shower handle in the master bath fell off and it's also leaking water! WTF? 10+ years without any issues when I lived there and 3 weeks into the lease, it's now an issue?
No problem. Stuff happens. I'm on it!
Called A1 Greer to take a look after reviewing their Yelp reviews and arranged to have Terry the faucet guy (apparently, they specialized in certain areas!) stop by the next day to take a look.
Terry arrives on time, is courteous, COMPETENT, and gets the job done in 90 minutes.
My wallet is three bills lighter for the shower and additional minor plumbing work but
1) Shower is fixed.
2) Labor is backed by a 1 year warranty.
3) Clean tenants are happy tenants :)
Be sure to mention Yelp for a 10 dollar discount.
