Recommended Customer Reviews

My first impression when they came out was that they seemed pretty good. They said it could take a few days as they needed to reach out to their parts suppliers. But as I waited for their quote on the job, it never appeared. I had several plumbers out for estimates so I didn't bother calling back. It's been about a month and a half since they came out, still no quote. Not like I need it at this point, just sayin'.

Had some problems with a job that had to be put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances, but the plumber left a pipe just stuffed into the outlet without a slip nut or whatever it's called to keep it tight, so of course it leaked. We did get it worked out eventually but it should not have been left that way in the first place.

I knew of this company from a past association. They had no time available for a couple of days and referred me to another company. It worked out perfectly and for that I am grateful to them.

I was referred to A1 from another company I used to use who switched from Residential to Commercial projects.
Had A1 Greer replace our old leaky galvanized main line from the street to the house. They came out, gave me a hand-shake estimate including all the permit details needed, walked me through what was going to happen quickly but also thoroughly.
Day of the job, they showed up on time, did a few additional things we hadn't talked about but I was happy they took care of and ended up charging me Less than the initial estimate with options on different ways I could save a buck or two here and there.
Communication was clear.
Office staff is organized and friendly.
Crew was experienced and professional.
Contractors State License Board License is current with active WC insurance listed (very important to me).
A1 Greer is as good as it gets and I will be using them in the future when the rest of the plumbing comes up for needing replacement.

Excellent service came and did and estimate for free which a lot of company's don't do now a days. He came and installed our faucet and sink made sure everything was working properly before he left and was also very friendly and nice! Defiantly recommend!!!!

I was referred to A1 Greer Family Plumbing, so I thought I'd give them a try to repair a kitchen faucet that wasn't working properly. This should have been a simple repair, right? Well, after removing the flow restrictors, it seemed to be working better, so the plumber left. Little did I know that there was a constant drip coming from the turn off valves under the sink. The plumber hadn't checked to make sure that it wasn't leaking after he turned the water back on. I attempted to call them twice that Friday evening, but didn't get a call back until the following Sunday! They offered to send someone out on Monday. Well, I had to call another plumber who came out at 1am on Saturday morning to repair what had become a major leak by then. No, I no longer need you Greer Family Plumbing, not anymore. Oh, and they said they were going to see about adjusting my bill. Well, that never happened either.

I got a sump pump installed by another company. I found out once the first rain came, that they did a horrible job, overcharged me, and would not return my calls.
I then call Greer Family Plumbing who came out right away, inspected the pump, quoted the job, and then with my approval, fixed all the issues I was having.
Fast, fair, and reliable. I will always use them in the future!!!

We been using Greer family plumbing Castro Valley / Hayward for a long time. They are the best. They fast and efficient . They get job done right the first time. This company and their employees are trustworthy. We don't have to watch while they work. Being older . its important to feel safe and secure, when having people in your home to do work. So yes I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GREER FAMILY PLUMBING for all your family plumbing needs. I had a lot of different plumbers and company's over the years . But Greer #1 and I keep them for the rest of my years, with no fear. Thank you from Sandy P Clark and Vicky Perry

Another home run for this company. This time my business in San Leandro had a persistently slow sink. We had tried the chemical drain cleaners to no avail so we called our friends at A1/Greer. They made an appointment for the next day and even telephoned to let me know the tech was on his way. Terry was extremely nice and very friendly and he solved the problem! He had to remove the sink and the p trap (which was rusted in) but he did it with a smile. After a good clean out we are draining great! Another great experience with a company we trust!

I've had them work on my house twice now and happy each time. This time was a bigger job (water heater replacement and upper shower issues) and it stretched to 5+ hours due to the nature of plumbing, something unexpected always comes up and in this case there were several things. The two workers showed great perseverance and wonderful attitude the whole time.
Notes to keep in mind.
First, they're NOT a cheapo hack job outfit. They do a good job and you'll be paying for a company that does a good job. I have no problem with their rates and if they had asked for more I would have paid. The two guys here busted their butts and got the job done although it wasn't easy.
Second, they are busy and it's plumbing; meaning that a job they're on has a good chance of going longer than expected. So when they say they'll get there in a certain window of time, well, it might not happen Be patient, I think these guys are worth the wait. I'd rather wait for a good plumber that takes longer to get to my house than have a hack come over right away. The lady that answers the phone is a great customer service agent. She'll do her best to keep you updated and she is trying her best to give times as accurate as possible.
Third, no one is perfect and there was a little issue I found after they left. We were all so excited about getting the job done after a long ordeal no one thought to check a certain area for leaks. There was a tiny one and they sent a guy over the next day to take care of it. So if you find something afterwards, don't freak, just give them a call and they'll take care of it ASAP.
I would not hesitate to call Greer Family Plumbing again to work on my house.
