Recommended Customer Reviews
Today, Frej from Greenwood Heating and A/C came to service our A/C units. He was punctual, very pleasant and very respectful of our home. I appreciate when service people use booties to not track in any dirt from the outside. He was thorough with the annual maintenance of our system and took the time at the end to explain all the checks he did and the state of our system. In the future, I will ask for Frej to service our system.
This company has outstanding customer service. They exhibited professionalism, caring and honesty - something that you do not see alot in businesses today. We had a Mitsubishi AC installed. Unfortunately, it never worked properly. Greenwood came out on several occasions and even sent a Mitsubishi rep out to try and figure out the problem. As a solution, they offered to refund our money or install a new Trane system that was more expensive at no extra cost to us. The employees - all the way from upper management to diagnostic technicians were professional every single step of the way. The new AC works well and we are happy customers. This type of customer service is rarely seen these days. This is an extremely reputable company, built on years of experience and they truly care about their customer's satisfaction.
Cindy L.We scheduled this company to come give us a bid-had heard good things about them. BUT they did a no call no show...,guess when business is good customer service can go out the window.
Steve B.I normally do not write reviews but feel compelled to share my experience with Greenwood Heating and Air Conditioning to hopefully help inform others.
First off, I do not believe there is much integrity or consistency in the Heating and Air business in general, with wide variations in both capabilities and estimates. I've had an experience now in the past 5 months with three different companies with essentially 3 different diagnostics/estimates, which is frustrating. That aside, I've had Greenwood out 3 times in the span of 4 weeks, not to mention they are our annual maintenance company for our furnace and heat pump, and I've gotten 3 DIFFERENT diagnostics and estimates from them alone. Each time they've sent someone out to assess my heat pump I've received a different take on what needs to get fixed and what costs (heat pump is 9 years old, BTW). And each time the costs went up: first estimate was for repairs to the heat pump to the tune of $6000, second estimate was a recommendation to replace my heat pump for $13,000, and the third estimate (and different technician) was that i needed to replace BOTH my heat pump and furnace to the tune of $23,000, the later (Imram) saying my duct work and furnace was not up to 'code' and the entire system needed to be redone. Mind you, i had an annual maintenance check up from them in December, with no issues. The issues started after this, with my aux heat coming on almost daily during Dec and Jan., and why which we called them back out to understand what was happening with our heat pump. On top of this, we had some minor water leaking from our furnace in the basement, for which they charged me $200 bucks to change/fix a water pipe extending from the furnace, then when it still leaked they said it was the water pan and replaced that.
I'm now at the point where I've had to have other HVAC companies come out and perform diagnostics so i can get 2nd and 3rd opinions on what is truly needed, paying diagnostic fees each time but feeling this is necessary so i don't shell out $23,000. I feel like I'm dealing with used car salesmen who do not have your best interests in mind but what they can sell you. I'm particularly disappointed in Greenwood because a) they've been our annual maintenance company (no more after this), b) so many people seem to like them and have had a great experience and c) they've had 4 different techs (including maintenance in Dec) out in the span of 3 months and i got 4 different diagnostics/guidance and estimates. I get that there's differences in technician experiences, etc. but this was ridiculous. A couple of those techs - Imran and Quentin - were at best downright ""sales'y"", at worst combative and condescending and not very patient.
Overall a very confusing, frustrating and stressful experience, and I will not be using Greenwood again. The point of hiring professionals is to take care of a job you can't take care of yourself and to do it in a way where they have your interests in mind and will 'educate' and guide you through the process. That's not what we received over the past couple of months with Greenwood.

caro h.These folks always take care of our furnace needs. Today Frej was spectacular and helped me understand the intricacies of our older furnace so we can move forward with a clear plan and more knowledge than I expected. Thanks for always sending your best, Greenwood H and A!
The install team of Justin and Jonathan were awesome, they did a great job installing our heating and cooling system as well as watching out for our dogs in the backyard by keeping our gate closed. They were very polite and when finished they did a great job cleaning up and going over everything. Top notch couple of guys finished on time and we are very happy, new unit is quite and we cannot wait to see how cool our house will be this Summer. Thanks guys!!
Install of tankless water heater was very professionally done: the Estimator, the Project Manager and the Installer (Saif) were all spot on. Did the work as promised in the time indicated with top quality work. Would absolutely recommend them.
Lovely R.Worst. I paid for Greenwood Heating's annual cleaning for two years. Biggest mistake ever.
The first time they did a cleaning and maintenance, my heater stopped working with error code 10. Error code 10 means that there is an obstruction in extracting the flue gases out, this only happened right after they ""cleaned"" my heater. My heater was working perfectly fine before they did the cleaning. They had to sent 4 different technician on different occasions to address the issue. I had to seat and wait for them, wasting my days for unpaid leave. Finally the last technician managed to clear the error code 10 and I was told that the previous technician didn't clean the back of the heater and there was some loose screws. I am out of words. Very unprofessional. Very inconvenient and least to say, very very frustrating and dissatisfaction.
2nd year: It's time to clean my tankless heater since I already prepaid the service from previous year. To my horror, Code Error 10 is back and worst is that one of my bedroom's heater stopped working! This is again right after the cleaning maintenance, and took place during the snowpocalypse! After several days, another technician came and replaced a new heating sensor, and still the heater not working. He is now pointing to new parts that ""might"" be broken. Again, all my room heaters were working fine before the cleaning maintenance, but right after Greenwood Heating worked on my tankless heater the nightmare starts. Until now I am still waiting for them to fix my heater.
For the love of money, time and energy, do not use this company. You will just pay for trouble to come and nobody wants that.
Red S.I did not have a good experience with Greenwood. They came out to inspect a boiler, told me it was dangerous, and that there was carbon monoxide present -- all without ever turning the system on at all. For this visit, which involved less than 10 minutes of actual inspection, they charged me around $215. Because of the threat of CO, I had Puget Sound Energy come over and do an inspection (who *did* turn the heater on). The CO was 0 at every point in the house. Greenwood also gave me a bid for a heater replacement. It was $4K greater than every other quote, and ended up being almost $8K (60% more) more than what I eventually paid -- and yes, by an extremely reputable other company. When I called the inspector's supervisor, he essentially backed up everything that his inspector wrote and was not interested at all in what I had to say. My advice would be to look elsewhere.
Bailey S.Tony and Francisco's team were professional, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. They kept us updated on the project timeline and worked hard to complete project on time. Overall a great experience with Greenwood and would highly recommend choosing them for your home heating and a/c needs!
