John and his crew have worked on my house doing everything from small repairs--replacing leaky faucets-- to major ones --fixing the hydronic heating system, replacing a failed water heater with a tank less one. His guys also repaired some roof damage from the epic winter two years ago. Basically they can do just about anything and I appreciate the quick communication and scheduling. John Greenside did the gas line work & it did pass inspection, however, he was not timely nor organized. He left gas pipe and white tape all over the yard, really did not appreciate cleaning up after him @ plumber prices.

A guest staying at my condo clogged the kitchen sink. I called/emailed 3 plumber in the morning. Later that morning, John was the first (and only) one to call me back. He was busy, however found time to unclog the sink that afternoon. Good work!

Ultimately he did not provide any plumbing services for our house, but he did spend over 10 minutes with me on the phone talking through all the various potential issues and the various options I could choose. He even had a recommendation to do it myself if I didn't want to have to pay a plumber! Imagine that, an honest business man suggesting something that could take business from himself! He did recommend me to go with another plumbing company, which turned out to be a fantastic recommendation (see my other plumber reviews for details).

John also did offer for me to call him back if no one else could answer my call and fix my issue.

Back in February I had rented a VRBO in Tahoe Donner to enjoy with friends and family. It was a lovely home, but the upstairs main toilet was an antique, and no match for two teenage boys. On Saturday morning, the darn thing backed up and sent up a rushing cascade of water faster than the Truckee River after an El Nino winter. The property owner was completely unhelpful and showed zero interest in the problem. Needless to say, this put a little dent on my winter Tahoe dream vacation.

Thanks to Yelp, and John Greenside, this disaster was quickly averted. I'm used to using a snake to unclog the toilet (ahem, teenage boys), but the one I purchased at the local Ace wasn't sufficient for this relic of a commode. John answered the call on a Saturday, came out within a couple of hours, brought out a plumbing python snake that dwarfed my store bought garter snake, and fixed the problem. At an exceptionally reasonable price.

I was obviously bummed at the property owner's response, and John went to bat for me, pointing out the toilet really needed to be replaced. He offered to speak with the owner and did so. Eventually, the owner agreed to split the cost with me.

John, you saved the day. Thank you so much. So glad to support honest tradespeople in Truckee!

Called John from a reference from our realtor and boy is he a number I will keep on hand. We had some funny acting toilets and a slow draining shower. He came as promised and even returned later in the day to continue the job with parts he had to pick up. He also gave us GREAT advice for closing up our cabin for the winter to avoid frozen pipes and said if we needed anything, give him a call. WOW, that is incredible service and ever so nice. I will definitely call on John again if needed.
