I started a claim with Old Republic Home Protection on 1/29/24. I was ""assigned"" to Greenlife Plumbing. At first Carlos was quick to respond and set an appointment to come out a few days later. Great! So far, so good. The hot water fixture snapped off on my Roman Tub. I'm thinking this would be a pretty simple job. Well, he stated he didn't have the cartridges to repair the handle itself and stated he would have to go through the tile. At first, Carlos told me he would have to charge me $250 to remove a square section of tile and I would have to sign a waiver regarding the tile. I pushed back on the charge to remove tile because I paid my $85 trade fee and felt the entire repair should be included. He agreed to waive the $250 ""to keep me happy"" but a waiver would still need to be signed. Ok, no problem. Lets go!
Here's where everything went sideways. Call after call, text after text. No response.
Where are you Carlos? No response for 2 weeks. I finally called Old Republic to request a different plumbing company and their stance was, since they already came out I was stuck with them unless I wanted a ""cash out"" to do the repairs myself. Wow! I got F'd on this claim. After my 2nd call to Old Republic demanding a new plumber I finally get a call back from Carlos. He stated he was waiting on the waiver. I told him I never received the waiver. He claimed it was emailed. Yeah, sure buddy! He stated he would have his ""front office"" reach out to me to verify my email. That never happened. I was so frustrated at this point. The claim is a month old and I still have a broken fixture. I GIVE UP!
I took the cash out and called All City Plumbing. Although I would be paying an extra $1,000 out of pocket. I didn't care. The peace of mind is worth it. All City (Ivan) came out and assessed the repair. I was told they didn't have to go through the tile and would be able to fix the hot water faucet with a cartridge. Worst case scenario they might have to go through the drywall. NOT THE TILE!
I honestly feel like I dodged a bullet. Greenlife is a sh*t plumbing company. Thank God they never started the repair.
After reading all these super negative reviews I feel like I was the lucky one. If I could give them 0 stars I would have. You will regret dealing with and using Greenlife for any of your plumbing needs!
**YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. BEWARE OF GREENLIFE PLUMBING**

I am posting this review quite some time after I dealt with this company, mainly in an effort to do my due diligence before reacting online. I found myself in the most unfortunate position of having a leak in the slab of my home. Adding to the mess was the fact that I was living across the country, and I had tenants in my home at the time. I was assigned Greenlife Plumbing through my home warranty company (AHS). I understand the complicated nature of having to deal with both the owner of the property for authorization etc, and also the tenants for scheduling and availability. However, smartphones really make this situation much easier than ever before. First of all, scheduling even the initial visit proved to be difficult, as the ""pro"" I was in contact with, Carlos, was minimally responsive with me and the tenant. She was told they would be coming one day and they simply never showed. 3 days later is when they finally came, and then the actual leak detection wasn't for another 2 days. The delay (over two weeks) in beginning the actual work isn't the fault of Greenlife, so I won't hold that against them. It was a matter of approval from the home warranty company. In the meantime, Carlos was pressuring me to move forward with repairs without authorization from AHS by means of telling me that if I didn't agree to begin the repairs ""now"", he may not be available for several more weeks. At this point it had been nearly two weeks that my tenants were without hot water. After several weeks of communicating, Carlos knew I was over a barrel being in Virginia and trying to have this taken care of right before Christmas with two extremely (rightfully) upset tenants. I reluctantly agreed to begin repairs at the risk of not getting anything covered by home warranty. Repairs began and I was warned there could be damage to cabinets, etc. Carlos told me he would do his best to avoid cabinetry, but also let me know that his guys would leave behind the drywall pieces they cut out so that the drywall repair people could pop those back into the holes and fix things back up. He did not leave the drywall. And they destroyed baseboards. When connecting the new pipes to the drains in the bathroom, I was informed that both drains needed to be replaced. Carlos told me he would send me a link to purchase the parts and he would install for me. He never did. During the plumbing repair, my tenant made me aware that one of the two sink drains in the bathroom had been leaking. After the plumbing repair, both drains started leaking. Carlos told me he was waiting for approval from AHS to repair a 2nd water heater in the garage. I have asked about the water heater. I have asked about the drains. I was told (by Carlos) that he was unresponsive because he was on vacation and also had a funeral to attend (the two reasons that people use when they don't want to be questioned). I hired somebody else to attempt to fix the leaking drains and was informed that the plumbers did things in such a way to actually cause the leak in the 2nd drain, and that there is a water drip situation in the shower that I will be addressing next. The person who is fixing the drains told me he is not surprised that Carlos has ghosted me with all of the crap they left behind for me to have to deal with.
Had I known I was going to be paying out of pocket for this (unfortunately home warranty offered less than $1k for this nearly $10k repipe), I would have hired a local, trustworthy company of my own choosing.
Carlos preyed upon my vulnerability as someone not familiar with plumbing issues, as a desperate landlord living across the country, as someone trying to avoid water damage in my home, and as someone trying to restore hot water to my tenants in the wintertime. I have been told by many that the contractors who do business through home warranty companies are not paid nearly as much as when they are hired directly by customers. Now I know why he pressured me to agree to begin repairs without authorization. He bilked me for probably several thousand extra dollars, he left my home an absolute WRECK, he threw away the drywall that would have been helpful in having a nice repair job done to the walls (and whether or not it would have helped he told me it would be there for that purpose), and he left the bathroom sinks and shower in worse condition than when he arrived. And then he disappeared. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company. Riverside is full of skilled plumbers, find someone else. And if your home warranty company assigns them, suck it up and pay another service fee to have somebody else come.
Updating my review as of 3/23 to add that none of the new pipes in the attic crawl space have been secured down and ALL OF MY HVAC DUCTING HAS TO BE REPLACED because the plumbers trampled it during the installation of the new pipes. Unbelievable.

Greenlife was referred by American Home Shield. The guy came for 5 mins and did not look at anything and said he could get us a new water heater paid by the insurance. He was not wanting to fix anything, but just replace. He said he would come back with a part. no calls, no updates. AHS, told us to be patient and wait for their report. 2 weeks later, still waiting. I finally told them to sent a new plumber that I did not want Greenlife to come out. AHS said nothing they can do until they get a response from them. I cut and pasted the other bad review and finally got reassigned. Do not use Greenlife.
AHS is reassigning, so hopefully I get it fixed.

Worst customer service ever!!! Unbelievable. First off my home warranty set me up with them and they failed to get to me within the 48 hours that they are supposed to. When they finally did 4 days after the service request was created - they scheduled an appt with me and failed to show up! I took the day off work and what a waste that was. And then when I try to get a hold of them no answer. Next stop report them to the Bettee Business Bureau.

I would strongly discourage using their services because they will not answer or return your calls, will be no shows to multiple appointments, and have constant miscommunications within the company. Sorry this will be long because they have made so many errors and have been a terrible service provider. I had to use this company through my homeowner protection plan. The first appointment on Wednesday I waited and nobody showed up. I called to ask if someone was coming and they apologized saying the plumber was a no show but they would waive my fee for my protection plan. They scheduled an appointment for two days later and a plumber does show up but they have to get it approved and order the parts. My home protection plan called me saying I had to pay around $300 because this company had reported I needed a special garbage disposal upgrade that wasn't covered. This company called me right after and said they had accidentally sent the information from a different house they provided service to and my disposal was covered. They said I wouldn't have to pay extra and they would come back the week after when they receive the parts. I told them I would have to call them back to schedule an appointment because I would be out of town on vacation the week of new years. They sent a plumber to my house while I was on vacation. The company left me a voicemail saying I would have to file a new claim (which means another service charge) because I wasn't there when the plumber showed up for the appointment that was never scheduled. I called for 2 days not being able to reach anybody and nobody returned my calls. I finally reach someone the 3rd day and they apologize saying there were notes that I would be on vacation so they should not have sent someone to my house. They agreed to resolve the situation so I wouldn't have to file a new claim since they made the mistake. They promised a plumber would come out Monday to finish the repairs but it was another no show. I called them on Monday and Tuesday but nobody would answer or return my call or voicemails. On Wednesday I was finally able to get in touch with them, they apologized and said a plumber would come on Saturday. They said they would call the next day to confirm a time but that they would send someone on Saturday. Never got a call back and called them every day. Nobody showed up today on Saturday, they won't answer my calls, or return my calls. I only kept dealing with this company because they had said the fee would be waived or reimbursed. Turns out that was not true because I was still charged, and the plumbing issue still hasn't been fixed because they keep not showing up. Also, I spoke with my protection plan insurance today and they said they were never informed about the garbage disposal error. And they had covered the cost for the upgraded disposal they reported to them. So I would've been charged for the upgraded garbage disposal that was for a different house they serviced. The one plumber who did show up was nice and professional, but the people in charge of the operations and management of this company are incompetent and unprofessional.

Response time absolutely amazing. My kitchen plumbing went out on Saturday before Thanksgiving. Greenlife was here
early Monday morning. Very professional, pleasant. Greenlife saved the day. I will definitely use them for my plumbing needs.

Be aware even that this company is located in Riverside, they are taking jobs in San Diego. My sink was leaking from the bottom from the piece that connect the pipe that is under the sink to the sink unit. I called my home Waranty company that sent me GreenLife pluming. The two men that came seemed nice and respectful. Then the started working. They saw the leak at the bottom of the sink and the main guy said that he will have to change the little connector piece that was causing the leak. In order to do so, they had to undo the original piece. They tried to do so for over 30 minutes trying from top of the sink and the bottom of the sink until when they were doing it from the top of the sink, I saw my entire sink moved. I immediately told the person that my whole sink is now moving, he said, yes I see that. Well they finished changing the bottom piece. Then he said you sink is leaking from top, I am going to take a picture of it and send it to the insurance company. I told the person that my sink was not leaking from top before. He said it is okay, we will come back and fix it. I waited 2 days, then I called him back. He said that he has not heard from the insurance company. Then I called my insurance company to get an update, they said that the Plumer said that your sink needs regrouping and repositioning and that is not covered by insurance. I told the insurance company what happened and how the Plummer is the one that caused the damage. The insurance company referred me to the complaint line. The complaint line said to first to contact the company to fix the issue before calling them. Therefore, I hang up and called Greenlife plumbing telling them the issue. Now, the story changed that they can't do re-grouting and the person said ""yes I did keep pushing on your sink but it should not have moved."" Well they caused the grout to all break and now my sink is falling down, my faucet is leaking. The person said that they would not fix it. I told them that I will complain to the insurance company and they told me to do so. Eventually, I called them one more time, begging for them to fix the issue and they said that they won't do it and they have a video showing that I had the leak. The video that they took after they caused the leak and the guy said that he will send to the insurance company so they could re-grout the sink.
On top of the disaster of secondary damage that they have caused me. The person who came could not even center the piece that they replaced right or even clean after themselves. Please see the attached pictures.

This company was horrible to work with. They charged us $500 to dig a 2ftx2ft hole in our front yard. They ""repaired"" a leak in our pipes that reoccurred 31 days later, just outside of the recall option on our home warrantee. They were difficult to get ahold of to schedule the repair. They scheduled to come fix it between 9-12 and did not answer the phone until 11:30, at which time I was yelled at and told to find another plumber, they had no plans to come out that day. Since our home warrantee company had already given them approval, I decided to stick it out and was told they would call me back in 30 minutes. At noon the next day, 24 hours later, they had not responded to any calls or texts. We have been without water for 5 days due to poor communication on Greenlife's part. We will be without water a few more as we wait for a new plumber to be assigned. The employees that we have interacted with in person have been very curteous and efficient, the manager on the phone is the problem. This company is unreliable and dishonest.

Green life plumbing has been such a huge help for us! We have been looking for a plumber and had so many different people come in give us different estimates, all 4 were unprofessional on so many levels. Carlos and his teammate came over and perform their jobs and were extremely helpful and informative and as first-time homeowners we are extremely grateful and appreciative of the honesty that came through especially in a market that sometimes feels dishonest.

We had major water damage from our upstairs bathroom. It ruined all our walls, cabinets and flooring in the bathroom and our kitchen and hallway below the bathroom. Carlos was assigned to me through my home warranty company. He has been extremely helpful, even going out of his way to provide us with great recommendations for a restoration company. He has been working with us and the restoration company the last 3 days to pin point the leaks. I am very happy with the clear communication and the attention to detail he has put into our house finding the leak and fixing it. Carlos did amazing work and I will be recommending him to our friends and family in the future.
