Gene Greene established Greene Backflow over three decades ago, and it continues to be a family-run business. In 1981, Gene Greene started Greene Backflow, which is now managed by his widow Lynn Greene, along with his eldest daughter and son-in-law, Candace and Joey Guzman, and his youngest daughter, Samantha Greene.
Candace, Joey, and Samantha are all certified backflow testers recognized by AWWA, LA County, OC, and Ventura County.
Gene studied Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly and took a Backflow Prevention course at LA Trade Tech back in the ""Good ol' days,"" as he would say, ""for fun."" In 2013, he obtained his plumbing contractor's license ""for fun.""
Candace graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in English and Communications and completed her Backflow Prevention course through the USC Foundation for Cross Connection Control in January 2012 because, as Gene advised her, ""it'd be a good idea if you do."" In 2018, Candace passed the CSLB exam for plumbing and now holds C-36 license #986747.

It is because I support family run small businesses which are passed from one generation to the next, like Greene Backflow. Yes they are Santa Clarita Local Yokels, and they grew up here when there was no traffic jams on Soledad.
If you own a business, you most likely have a thing called a ""Backflow device"" on your property hidden away from sight because it's an ugly metal contraption that sticks out of the ground. It needs to be tested once a year, btw. You should call Greene Backflow to do it because they're fair-n-square when it comes to pricing, honest, and absolutely lovely people to talk to.
