We live in a small condo in the west loop. Our furnace is enclosed in a very tricky location on a ""loft"" area inside the bathroom. The furnace stopped working. We originally contacted a repair company that visited our home and quoted $1,700.00 to repair it, but advised us to buy a new one for $3,500.00. They requested that we pay and additional $1,500.00 to turn off the sprinkler system for our building in order to get their job done. We contacted Julian, owner of Greenworks, to get a second opinion. Julian was very polite and professional. He visited our home and made a very thorough assessment before making a quote for his repairs. He quoted us about $1,000.00 in repairs, including for his labor. Also, he explained that there was no structural damage to the furnace, just a malfunctioning ""smart-valve"" and a ""control panel"". Thus, there was no need to replace the furnace. He fixed the furnace for a total cost of $950.00. Thus, instead of having us spend an additional $4,000.00 prematurely, he fixed it for a reasonable price. After his repairs were done, he checked our old water-heater for free. He worked with our schedule, arrived on time, and got the work done within a day. I called Julian again today, to help me fix a breaker issue that had half the lights in our home out. He was easy to contact and adapted to my time-schedule. He got the problem fixed quickly. Julian has been a pleasant, courteous, competent, resourceful, and calming professional that we feel quite comfortable accepting into our home. Thanks Julian!

Wow. I picked this provider based on all the positive reviews on Yelp. My furnace began to act up (after 11 years without any kind of maintenance). I called Julian at about 1030am on Saturday morning, and he told me he could be at my home about noon, and that he would call if he needed to deviate. He was exactly on time, and diagnosed the problem in seconds. He had the necessary replacement sensor, and also was able to perform a recommended (though unscheduled) cleanout. He was very courteous, going so far as to wear little surgical booties over his shows to avoid tracking dirt into my home. I will absolutely be calling him back to do a maintenance check on the AC when summer comes.

Stop searching for someone to fix your furnace...just call Julian!

Julian was so friendly and did an excellent job fixing our furnace quickly! We called him this morning and he arrived just hours later to fix our furnace! He explained what was wrong with our furnace, fixed it, and gave great advice about future maintenance. He was professional, efficient, fair, and very friendly.

I can't imagine why we would ever consider using another person for our future A/C or furnace needs.

I had a most pleasant experience dealing with Julian -- he made it to my residence right at the time he promised (within an hour of requesting her services!) and got the job done quickly and efficiently, even making a run for the part needing replacement. He made sure to obtain the parts as a warranty replacement, as he noted the date of manufacture on my furnace...saving me some money. I will definitely keep him in my contacts for any HVAC needs!

Although he did not end up doing the work, Julian was wonderful! He answered every phone call, which was not the case with everyone. He was very honest and upfront. He was in or house for no more than 20 minutes and didn't charge us the diagnostic fee that we expected to pay. He said that since he did not know for sure that the work could be done that he would not charge. He is very fair and honest and I think he would have done a great job if he had done the work. The job turned out to be much bigger, involving the removal of walls and ceiling which was beyond his scope of work. I promised him I would send him some money for giving us his time and honesty. I will refer him to everyone I know:)

Julian was AWESOME. On time, very courteous and efficient. He told me exactly what was wrong, fixed it without any parts (although he told me that if this happens again and I need the part, he won't charge for the service call - AMAZING SERVICE). And its all warm and toasty again. I cannot recommend him enough.

An honest and nice repair man that did not try and sell me extra stuff, did not try and charge me for all sorts of stuff, the best service experience that I have had in a long time!!

Julian came to my house on the same day I called him. He assessed my problem and explained my options. As suggested, I tried changing the filter to see what would happen. This took care of 50% of the condensation problem. Christian returned on Monday morning for a more thorough examination, cleaning and fixed my a/c.

I called Julian at about 3pm on a Saturday when our A/C unit started acting up. He gave us some phone advice that fixed the problem, but I wanted to schedule an in-person check-up just in case.

Today he came by for our scheduled appointment, during a storm, and took a look around for any problems, only to find none. We decided to set up another appointment in a month. He left without charging us anything. No upsells, nothing.

Great guy and will call him to check out our furnace before the winter kicks in.
