Their expertise lay in custom conveyor belting, which is where the ""rubber"" in Green Rubber comes from. Daily, they competed against major industrial chains across the country. The company expanded rapidly, growing to over thirty employees and a varied product line. Kennedy Bros was established by Curt and Mark Kennedy in 1990. Starting with a team of four in Salinas, CA, they offered tanks, pumps, and spray equipment. In 2003, their operations expanded to five sites across California. Both businesses catered to many of the same clientele. In 2003, the two companies merged to form Green Rubber - Kennedy Ag. In 2021, they launched their sixth location in Santa Maria, CA, along with a specialized fabrication division, Urethane Specialists, based in Salinas.
